Perfect large group getaway

All the needed amenities, clean home and lots of privacy. Four couples were completely comfortable with our own space and bathrooms. Nice pool and spa., would highly recommend, Great experience overall.

Girls weekend

This property was perfect for a girls weekend to celebrate our bride-to-be. It was clean, had a ton of space for our guests, and a great outdoor space. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit! Would definitely recommend this property.

Great Home!

The home was big and had great flow. Allowed us to spread out and enjoy everyone’s company. Great hot tub and pool. Pool could have been a little warmer/cleaner but overall great. Location was awesome, not too far from the highway and 5 minutes from downtown.

Outstanding!

This property is our families all time favorite VRBO. We had 8 adults and 5 kids under the age of 9 along with our dogs. The finished garage was a great hangout, as was the pool and hot tub. Everyone was able to relax as there was plenty of comfy seating. It’s located close to downtown shopping and the beach. We would love to rent this home again in the future. It has everything you could want or need for a fabulous vacation.

Beautiful home

This house is amazing! We were two families and loved our stay there. It was very comfortable and well-maintained. We loved spending time in the pool, hot tub, and screened-in porch. The kids enjoyed playing ping pong. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

Wonderful family vacation

The house had everything we needed for our week long stay. The kitchen was well equipped with all you would need for cooking. There was plenty of space, sitting and playing areas for all. The pool and hot tub were a hit with everyone! The host was very quick to reply to any question I had. I would definitely stay here again!

No Need To Leave

We just wanted a quick getaway with some family friends--basically another couch to quarantine on. We never left the property and the kids had a blast. The bunk room was the main attraction, followed by the hot tub and the TVs that made gaming easy. Wonderful space for a couple families looking to lounge around a house for a weekend.

Family Getaway

My husband, brother- and sister in law along with their grandsons had a wonderful time just relaxing. Mornings were spent enjoying coffee on the screened porch. We cooked out on the grill for family dinners. The boys enjoyed playing ping pong and swimming. The entire house was perfect for all of us. Would easily recommend to others.

Great house for extended family

We really enjoyed this house. There are plenty of bathrooms and beds, as well as multiple televisions if everyone doesn’t agree on what they want to watch. The house is stocked with board games and puzzles. We loved the pool and hot tub. The kids swam twice a day most days, even though they also went to the lake! The house is closeby to meijer and a large farm stand so getting groceries was easy!

Very nice spot. Quiet and peaceful. Plenty of space and lots of things to do. The pool was nice and clean. The umbrellas outside by the pool were broken and not useable which was a bit of shame as the sun was so hot when we went and it would have been nice to have some shade. Also checking was an issue for us on arrival because we couldn’t unlock the front door with the self check in function. We had to call the company and they explained to us that we had to pull hard on the door as it unlocks and then you can open. Overall that took us about 15 minutes to get inside. Would have been nice if those instructions were included on the initial welcome guide e.g. once you enter the code please pull hard on the door when you hear the door unlocking. Thanks!

The house was beautiful. Very comfortable and decorated beautifully plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool, hot tub, screamed gazebo were all perfect for our family to relax and have fun together. The grounds were beautiful. The garage was equipped with a ping pong table where we played many games. My only recommendation would be to sweep the garage periodically as there were several cobwebs and it needed to be cleaned up. The only other issue was the grill was very dirty. My husband and my son had to clean it before we were able to use it to cook our dinner! other than that the house was beautiful. It would be nice if it was a little closer to the beach and you could walk but it was wonderful.

Beautiful Home, Great Location

Overall, I was very pleased with this property. The residence was clean, spacious and looked like the pictures. We had a party of 12 (4 adults, 8 children ages 4-11). The pool was nice and well stocked with toys, floats and seating. The kids loved the game room in the garage and the ping pong table was a big hit. The 3-season room was one of our favorite places in the house both in the morning for the wooded view and in the evening to avoid bug bites. The main issue we had was the Wi-Fi was not strong and it constantly dropped service. The pool also became very cloudy mid-week. The pool/hot tub should be serviced 2x per week not just on Wednesdays. My only other suggestion would be a welcome basket and to re-organize the printed information which had conflicting information for passwords, trash days, etc.

We also appreciate you providing some feedback as to improvements for the property that we can share with our homeowners. In regards to the WiFi, I know the owners have added multiple mesh routers to strengthen the signal to power devices and the smart TVs in the home. Hopefully those were not disconnected as they simply plug into an outlet, and could be mistaken for something else if you are not familiar with them. We do apologize if there was conflicting home details, and will review our guestbook and home literature so that it is the most up to date for future guests. Overall, we do hope everyone had a great time and that we will see you return again soon!

Beautiful home/Great location

My husband was in town working (off season) so we didn't use the pool but the hot tub was nice. The house is fantastic, spotless and equipped with every thoughtful item you can imagine. The lay out is great if you have 2 families or more, open, split-level basement and plenty of spaces to inhabit. My son and I loved playing ping-pong in the garage. Watching movies in front of the fireplace, the trip to the dog beach and boutique shopping in downtown South Haven (5 minutes away). The house backs up to a wooded area and feels very private and secluded and yet it's so close to the beach and S.H. activities. We would really love to come back here in the summer.. Actually would have booked it to come back but was already sold out. I would have been over-the-moon if the communication was better. I base this off my previous VRBO experiences and great communication with them. Here you have to call, leave a message (during business hours) and hope they get back to you in a timely manner. I think it's because even though booked through VRBO the rental property agency takes it from there. All in all I would give it 5 Stars.

It does look like during your stay you did contact our office once where our staff was unavailable and you had to leave a message with our 24/7 answering service. We are open 7 days per week, however outside of office hours or when our staff is on the other line, calls are routed to our 24/7 answering service. We then receive the message and return all calls. You are correct that when traveler's book through VRBO, we handle the booking from that point on and are your primary contact. We hope to host you again on your next trip to South Haven!

We booked his house for a bachelorette trip. One of the top priorities in finding a house was a pool. This house seemed to check all the boxes. Unfortunately, due to lack of communication from the owners, there were safety concerns. The pool was murky, cloudy, full of leaves, and had mucus pieces floating around. Per the pool instructions there were to be 2 chlorine cans in the pool - there were not. It took the property over 5 hours to send someone out. They tested the water, said “the levels are off, but safe,” added chlorine, told us to wait to see if it cleared up and let them know if not. We did not contact again that day. The next morning we went to check the pool and noticed the color was now green, still murky, still cloudy.We noticed in the front trash bins 6 cans of “PRO Pool Shock Liquid Chlorine”The pool had been shocked with NO COMMUNICATION. Due to it being chlorine, it would not be safe to enter the pool for 24 hours. We could have gotten in the water unsafely. Upon research, we should not have entered the pool the first day either due to the “off levels.” We communicated this research to the owners, expressed the pool was unsafe, disgusting, and inaccessible for the entire stay, and the owners do not care. Their answers become shorter when asking for a refund and now they have completely ghosted us. Beautiful home but CANNOT TRUST OWNERS FOR PRIORITIZING SAFETY OF GUESTS. Would not recommend anyone to stay here until the property is guaranteed safe.

Guest safety and satisfaction are very important to us, and we take these concerns seriously. Our records show that we were in communication during your stay and arranged for the pool to be inspected after the issue was reported. The pool service provider tested the water, made appropriate chemical adjustments, and advised that the pool was safe for use. We understand that cloudy pool water can be disappointing, particularly during a short stay. Pool chemistry and clarity can be affected by heavy rain, which occurred during your visit. This pool is maintained through an inline chlorination system, not by chlorine containers placed directly in the pool. Pool shock is also a standard professional treatment used to restore proper chemical levels when needed. We also want to clarify that chlorine bottles found in the trash may have been disposed of by the pool service provider and may not reflect chemicals used only at this specific property or during this visit. We did receive your refund request, including the statement that a negative review could be avoided if compensation was provided. While we review guest concerns carefully and fairly, we believe reviews should reflect a guest’s genuine experience and should not be conditioned on financial terms. We regret that this situation affected your stay. While we do not agree with all aspects of your description, we respect your feedback and will continue reviewing our pool communication and service procedures.

Girls Weekend Heaven

If you’re looking for a perfect house for a girls weekend or family vacation, this home is it. It was absolutely beautiful, and well equipped with everything you need. The pool and hot tub were lovely. The only negative thing is there were several lounge chairs that were broken and there were 14 of us. But it never affected us enjoying our stay. Beach Walk Properties was very easy to work with. I highly recommend this rental. We would absolutely rent again.
