Thank you for your review, Brian. Like I explained to you in my response, the property is not advertised as having a BBQ. There is no mention of one in the description or in the list of amenities. Nowhere does it say that you get one with your reservation. Photos don't show one either. For you to assume something that you wish was true and then complain of something that was not a part of the offering, to begin with, is unfair. If this was so important for you to have a BBQ, you should have checked with me on this to be sure it’s included prior to your check in and not wait until the check in day hoping you can escalate the matter just because you are already in the house. Like I explained to you in my response, you can rent your own BBQ if you wish to and it will be hand-delivered to the house. I even told you where to get one, and it doesn’t cost that much. Stains on the wall are from the BBQs that my prior guests rented separately. The sign on the wall is also for the times when guests opt into renting a BBQ. None of these mean that you get a BBQ together with the rental or serve as a proof that I owe you one – all the amenities are listed in the description of the property and in the amenities section, so if there is no BBQ on there, there is no BBQ included in the rental. What you fail to mention is that the listing clearly states at the top of description that pool/spa heat are extra charge, and I gave it to you for free. You also tried to get into the house more than two hours ahead of check in time without asking me and tried to harass my cleaner into letting you in. We did get you in the house earlier, but your demeaning communication with my staff was unacceptable. I find it unfair for you to come in and ruin my house’s reputation over something that you wanted to have but never checked if it was a part of the offering, in the first place. A three-star review for a property that you agree was clean and comfortable and presented to you exactly as it is described on the website is extremely harsh. Especially after we gave you so many things that were indeed extra charge – no questions asked.

It’s a shame that while you are mentioning a lot of things that have nothing to do particularly with my house and are outside of my control – traffic, front gate scanner, Walmart built in the area, etc., you completely fail to mention all the positive things that we did do for you to make your stay enjoyable: you packages came in a day earlier while other guests were still in the house – we took them inside and stored them in a closet so they don’t get lost or damaged, no questions asked; we provided you with free pool and spa heat – something that NO other host in the area will ever provide, especially in November; all your questions or requests were addressed within 24 hours or less – I personally stopped by to restart routers for you within 18 hours of you mentioning that WiFi was being a bit choppy. The house was fully renovated in 2021 and we continued making updates even past the time the pictures for the listing were taken, this is one of the most renovated and spruced up houses in Windsor Hills, so I don’t think it’s fair of you to nitpick on some chips and discoloration of the outside paint that you can’t even see when you are inside. Unlike traffic in the area, these are all the things within our control and we helped you with everything we could to make your stay enjoyable. Traffic is busy in the area – that’s true. But this is Orlando – traffic is getting busier and busier with every year, especially with all the tourists and attractions constantly added to the area. All the vacation communities are located in the same general area due to zoning. So unless you are renting from someone who rents a house illegally, you will end up in the same general area subject to the same traffic. Even if you go to nearby hotels – traffic will still be the same. Windsor Hills is the closest community to Disney World, so this is still the quickest community to get in and out of when going to Disney parks. Walmart did create more traffic in the area, but it’s a huge Walmart supercenter located right outside the entrance to the community – it doesn’t get any more convenient than that. Traffic is a tradeoff for not having to drive for 15-20 minutes every time you need something from a grocery store (one can walk to Walmart from Windsor Hills if they choose to do so or drive for 2 minutes to get there). As I explained to you in the messages, the scanner at the main gate is being replaced by the end of 2022, so this issue will become obsolete very soon and I am not sure why you needed to mention it when it is already being worked on by the HOA (and in fairness, I never had any other guest in 4+ years complaining about the scanner – it’s not the best, but it’s workable). Getting into the community might take a few minutes, but this is another tradeoff for peace and security. There are so many other communities in the area that are technically easier or faster to get in and out of, but that’s because their security is non-existent and the tradeoff to that is constant loud parties, overcrowding of houses, police patrol, etc. Nobody likes long security lines to get in, but this ensures order and peace. I thank you for your feedback, but I do find it a little one-sided as you mention that the house had everything you needed and we provided you with the best service and the best response to your concerns, but you still evaluated my property on the basis of things like traffic or if you think the scanner on the front gate is up to date – something that is not technically a part of my house and is completely outside of my control.

Thank you for your review, Jolene. Like I explained to you over the texts, the pool was at 69 because it was barely 40 degrees outside. During your stay, Florida (as well as the rest of the East Coast) was going through a massive freeze. Temperatures were in high 30s - low 40s for about 5 days and during the night, temperatures were below freezing. It was impossible to be outside without a chunky sweater or even a coat. In these conditions, pool heaters don't work - pool heater is there to raise the temperature by 15-20 degrees above atmospheric max. That's what I explained to you via text. You also mentioned that the community pool was cold. That's due to the same issue - pool heaters don't work when it's barely 40 outside. Not in my private home, not the community pool, not even in Disney resorts. I am sorry your kids were frustrated, but expecting an outside pool to be hot when it's barely above freezing outside is not realistic - even if you go to a Disney hotel, they can't make it happen because it's not technically (physically) possible. I want to remind you that I didn't charge you for the pool heat and I explained to you honestly that no matter how much you pay, the pool is not going to be any hotter. I wanted to be honest and not take your money because there is nothing that can be done in this cold weather. There are many hosts in the area who will gladly take your money for the pool heat and not give you any refund. So I believe it's unfair to complain about lack of pool heat when you were there during a massive freeze event and I didn't even charge you for the pool heat, in the first place. I do apologize for the TVs in the bedrooms. However, I can't help you if you don't communicate with me and tell me what is wrong. Sometimes, due to either a power flick or due to app updates, apps that TVs stream cable through will disconnect. I had guests contact me in the past and I either gave them very simple instruction how to re-connect to the app or had my property manager come out within 24 hours max and get everything back on track. I didn't hear anything about cable on the TVs from you, so I couldn't help because I didn't know what's wrong. I find it unfair for you to complain after your stay when you didn't even give me a chance to address the issue that could have been fixed in a matter of minutes during your stay.
