The house itself and the location are great and exactly as advertised. However, this property is managed by a corporate rental business, and the experience suffered because of it. For a house that costs over 1000 a night and accommodates 12 guests, the amenities were the worst I have ever experienced.The provided starter kit is incredibly stingy for a six bedroom house. It included just one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, two trash bags, two dishwasher tabs, and no laundry detergent, shampoo, or conditioner. Management completely overlooks basic necessities. There was no liquid hand soap, just tiny bar soaps, and despite being a beach house, there were zero beach towels. I had to go out and buy my own toilet paper, paper towels, and beach towels just to get through the stay.While I eventually got management to concede and bring extra trash bags and laundry detergent, the communication process was incredibly frustrating. You are forced to battle a useless AI agent before reaching a human. Once you do reach a real person, their justification for the lack of supplies was that previous guests steal things. Paying premium luxury prices just to be treated with suspicion and denied basic necessities felt insulting and cheap.To top it all off, the cleanliness was lacking. The floors were incredibly dirty to the point where our feet were black just from walking around inside the house.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you found the home and location to be exactly as advertised. Our homes are vacation rentals rather than hotels, and we provide a starter supply of essentials to help guests get settled. The starter kit contents, along with items not provided, are disclosed in our guest guide and "What to Bring" section sent approximately two weeks prior to arrival. Items such as beach towels, shampoo, conditioner, and laundry detergent are not included. Over the years, we found that guests have very different preferences for these products, and many supplied items went unused and were discarded, creating unnecessary waste. For that reason, we focus on providing starter essentials while allowing guests to bring or purchase their preferred items. When additional supplies were requested during your stay, we were happy to provide extra trash bags and dishwasher detergent. We are sorry to hear you were frustrated with the communication process and have shared your feedback with our team. We also apologize that the floors did not meet expectations. Had we been notified during your stay, we would have immediately sent housekeeping back to address the issue. Thank you for your feedback. It helps us continue improving the guest experience.

Picture perfect house

This property was absolutely perfect for our party of 11! We had all ages from a 7 month old baby up to a 72 year old grandma. We absolutely loved the golf cart and drove it to the beach. The pool was wonderful for the kids. There was enough space to spread out and everyone had their own bathroom. We had a tiny issue that we had to call the management company about. They were very responsive and fixed the problem right away. I was a little concerned after booking this property about the possibility of alligators coming in from the water. You cannot tell from the pictures, but the property actually has a 4 to 5 foot drop off that did not allow for any type of wildlife to roam onto the property. Overall we had an amazing trip and would book this property again in a heartbeat! Wonderful memories were made!!

Very good home, extremely unfriendly property mgmt

Family of 11 stayed here. Beautiful home, excellent location. Views of lake and ocean close by were fantastic. Home in very good condition. Just like the photos. Loved it Issue is with the tone, tenor, contracts and response to help which was very poor. Every statement or email for any issue starts with an implied warning of fines For a home which we were paying over $1000/night, reached on Christmas Day and they had no wine opener, or mittens etc. never received it even when we requested. When there was an issue, or so we thought about our heated pool, the first statement was the additional charges we would incur because they assumed we had screwed up. We had not, as it worked the next morning While we enjoyed this home, and the mgmt definitely left a very sour taste in our mouths.

Hi Vijay, We thank you so much for staying with us and for your feedback. We do feel the need to clarify a few statements you made, first you claim that all communications comes with warnings of additional fees or fines, this is not correct. We do communicate fees and or fines if a guest violates house rules or community rules to be transparent, however this is not in each communication. When the issue with pool heat arose our tech found it was because the system had been shut off by one of the guest in your party, the tech then reactivated the system without charging you a service call fee but communicated with you that if the system were shutdown again there would be a fee for the tech to visit to reactivate it. Second, while you did request a wine opener and mittens on Christmas Day, we had no staff available to meet that request due to the holiday. We communicated with you at the time of reservation that check-ins on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day would have no personal available for none emergency issues. We again are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and apologize that you did not like the transparency in pricing when we communicated with you concerning the pool. Thanks Gulf Tide Vacations

My new favorite place!

This property is absolutely breathtaking. I am a home design and real estate lover and I was so aesthetically pleased with every inch of this home. The location is absolutely perfect. I felt totally zen from the moment we arrived. The lake is a beautiful view and the catch and release bass fishing is amazing right from the backyard. The kayaks that came with the property were such a treat and a lover of all of our kids from 7 years old to 16. The 6 person golf cart was perfect! We took it to eat and to cruise and to go to the beach everyday. Didn’t even get in our vehicle. Also, we have 2 year old and I was really nervous about the pool and lake. I stressed that he would get out of the door and slip away for an entire week before the trip. It wasn’t a problem at all. The back door is very heavy and he couldn’t even make it budge so that helped me relax a lot! All around this place was a perfect location, it was amazingly beautiful and comfy, & it was truly just a great time!

Lakeside Rendezvous

This property was amazing and should be featured on HGTV. My family and I stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday and it was one of our favorite vacations to date. This roomy home is luxuriously decorated and the heated pool and spa with the view of the lake offered hours of entertainment. Would highly recommend.

Destination Destin

We have stayed in many vacation rental properties, and this is by far the best one yet. The rental manager Bart and his staff are top flight. Due to Hurricane Sally , we needed to extend our stay an additional day and they obliged, which kept me and my family members safe. The property is HGTV worthy to say the least. With the weather being so problematic, we enjoyed this home to the fullest. We cooked, watched movies, played games ,and fished in the lake, etc. Relaxation at the highest level.Thanks again.

Wonderful House with Beautiful Views

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. It looked like a professionally decorated home with all the amenities you could want. The pool was so nice. It was a short walk or ride in the gulf cart to the beach. The beach had amazing white sand and the water unbelievably clear. All you need to bring is your beach towels and clothes and you are set. The few issues we had were handled by Bart who would immediately handle it. He was very responsive. Great house that we would love to stay at again.

Firstly , 12 of the 15 of us got a deadly stomach virus ( vomiting and diarrhea ) 4 of the 6 days we were there. We assumed possibly the renters prior uschad it and the home wasn’t cleaned well enough -especially the rug in the family room. The home was absolutely gorgeous -taking nothing from it !!! The property managers did not get back to you in a prompt manner -our pool was out of commission for 2 days , then we reported issues with the golf cart prior to getting there and they charged us for it in departure because they said it had to be a written complaint instead of verbal ( unacceptable) . Several in our group flew to our destination and b/c we were all vomiting profusely , checkout was so hard and they literally nickeled and dined us to death !!! Unacceptable considering our horrible circumstances. Thank you , Susan

Hi Susan, Thanks for sharing our experience with us. We are sorry to hear that your guest were sick during your stay. We take great pride in providing clean and very sanitized properties. We did not receive any reports from you concerning the home not being clean until after you checked out, and were charged for issued that occurred from your guest. We are sorry you were unable to use the pool after one of your guest pooped in the pool on a Sunday. While you share that the pool was out of commission for 2 days you fail to give the reasoning why, which was because one of your guest used the restroom in the pool. We had the pool tech there as soon as possible to correct the issue. You also had access to community pools during the down time. While we understand that some of your guest were sick, we still have a guideline of checkout procedures to be followed. Being sick doesn't allow for guest to color on walls and bedding. Not until you received an email stating additional charges for not following check out procedures and damaging the home did you communicate anything about sickness. We also have no history of reporting any issues with the golf cart, quite frankly I am confused on how you could have done this before getting to the property. We also detail the process of reporting any issues or damages to them home at arrival, which were not followed as well. We are very sorry that you had issues on your trip, these probably could have been avoided by simply taking the time to read your rental agreement before signing it.

Lakeside Rendezvous Getaway

The property was amazing! My family of 10 adults stayed one week and the time on the patios both upstairs and down overlooking the pool and lake with the crisp breezes were amazing. The property is in close vicinity to the beaches, shopping and countless resturants. Minor property housekeeping issue: the patio could use a quick power washing for the cobwebs building up in corners of the walls and ceiling outside. Beware, its not disclosed up front the additional 3% fee for paying with a credit card. Also the property listing should disclose that it is a non-smoking property OUTSIDE as well. You don't find this out until after you paid to book and the lease is sent. Other than those minor issues I would return in the future.
