Worked a treat

We really enjoyed Barrabay. Cosy, comfortable and not precious. Lots of beds and split living areas worked well. A cooler would be a useful addition on those warmish days.

Cottage vibe

It's a nice although bottom half is more cottage whilst top is more Hampton. Hairdryer would be great as an additional item ,however there were a few spiders at the bottom of each room

Great property, close to town and beach. Check-in process is ridiculous requiring details of every guest and photos of driver's licence an credit card even the booking was already fully paid. Communications were confusing, contradicting on email and SMS. For 8 guests there were only two half rolls of toilet paper and one spare. No spare towels. The property management and cleaning definitely could improve. Otherwise we had a great time.

Please be advised that all of our guests are required to provide a credit card and ID with a photo as part of the Pre Check-in process for validation regardless if they have booked directly or through an online travel agent. The credit card validation serves as security during your stay for notification of any extra cleaning or damage costs as a result of your stay. This is a security requirement that has been legislated by the NSW Code of Conduct for holiday letting. We understand you may not be comfortable sharing this information. However, rest assured that the system is encrypted and secured. Our data retention policy is to remove all sensitive data and personal information 14 calendar days after checkout from your stay. Great location was the only positive for this place. It was unkempt, unclean, and uncomfortable. The bins were full to overflowing upon arrival. The nature strip was long and untidy, the driveway entrance overflowing with garden bushes crossing the driveway, making reversing problematic There were clear signs of mould in the ensuite, and the lounge furniture was inadequately old and dilapidated Bedding in the bunk rooms had inferior and aged mattresses which were so bad my son had to put this on the floor to sleep The decking was in poor condition and also showing signs of the need to replace. Finally, the outside lights under the carport were onto working and the clothesline was filthy. What a pity! Online the place showed so much promise. The owners of this property need to put some T.L.C into this place, In my view it is not up to standard and should not be let out until all of the above are addressed

We had a great stay at this pet friendly home. A short walk to town in a quiet area, with distant beach views and hill views. The house had all you could need for a nice holiday, clean, well stocked crockery and glasses. The deck was perfect for our dog to laze around on and having a completely secured yard was also a bonus. We also had a visit from a Koala who has taken up residence in a gum tree out the back. Would love to re-visit. Thanks for allowing us to holiday with our fur baby. My only request would be to have a stock of bin liners, and maybe a sharp knife. Cheers 🥂

It was ok I guess, but not rushing back

I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend away. Online listing says pet friendly inside and out, but property managers had generic contrary info that made us very uneasy. I also received my almost time to leave message before breakfast in my first morning. Nice way to say you are not welcome

Outdated and Dirty

Positives: Layout of the house quite good, plenty of space and the location is nice and quiet and an easy walk to shops and beach. The neighbours are absolutely lovely and so welcoming. GOR was great in their response to the initial complaint about the cleanliness. Offered to get a cleaner out ASAP, but due to availability I offered to clean it myself and was compensated. In saying that, when I called into show them photos of the oven the only response I got was "perhaps next time you visit you could look at a newer house". Negatives: The house was dirty upon our arrival, not only had the floors not been mopped, they weren't swept or vacuumed. The oven was unusable and I felt I needed to wash the crockery/cutlery before we used it. Outdoor furniture almost falling apart and the deck needed repair when we arrived. Washing machine dirty, only pegs available were the broken ones left on the ground. This house has so much potential but is lacking much needed TLC.
