Kilcunda Coast House

„Kilcunda Coast House“ ist gut mit kostenfreiem WLAN ausgestattet, eine komplett aus Edelstahl Küche, porta-Kinderbett, Hochstuhl, sowie Flachbild-TV mit DVD-Player und Heimkino-System. Der gemütliche Loungebereich wird durch ein Holzfeuer erwärmt (mit Holz versorgt), um die kalten Nächte auf dem Land abzuschalten. Die abgeschiedene Lage macht dieses Haus perfekt für zwei junge Familien und das Haus ist in diesem Sinne eingerichtet. Die Kinder werden sich in dem weitläufigen Außenbereich, der ihnen zur Verfügung steht, zerlumpen.

Für alle Wetterbedingungen ist eine Umkehrklimaanlage für ganzjährigen Komfort sowie ein offenes Feuer für die kalten Winternächte vorgesehen. Um das Ganze abzurunden, gibt es einen Gasgrill und einen Außenbereich für ein rundum gelungenes Urlaubserlebnis.

Das Kilcunda Coast House ist so konfiguriert, dass verschiedene Kombinationen von Erwachsenen und Kindern bis zu maximal 10 Personen bequem schlafen können:

Fantastic holiday house!

Overall we had a lovely stay here with our friends. The view was to die for. Stunning grounds and so much space. So peaceful. However the house itself was quite dirty. I spent a good 1.5 hours cleaning dust and pet fur, it was everywhere. Shouldn’t have had to do that, but really had no choice because it was that dusty and dirty in the kids’ room where the bunks arethat it set my son’s asthma off on our first night. He needed 10 puffs from his ventolin. Luckily it was enough to get it under control. I ended up cleaning the whole house the next day, vacuuming along the skirting boards, vacuuming under the couch, on the couch, dusting shelves, a lot of window sills and vacuumed absolutely everywhere - all so that we could enjoy ourselves properly. So very dusty, not to mention little areas of collected pet fur in a lot of corners and under beds. I know it’s a pet friendly house, but come on. It really was as though the house hadn’t been properly cleaned for some time, or after the previous guests had been. If it weren’t for the view and surrounds outside, our stay probably would not have been real great. If only I could have charged a cleaning fee! The cleanliness was pretty disappointing considering the money we paid, however we still managed to have a wonderful time there with our friends, sorry to say we probably wouldn’t return though. Both our families also all ran out of toilet paper on our final day, provisions such as toilet paper seemed to be at the absolute minimum

Relaxing getaway

The house was a nice open plan. Very quiet, being in a rural area. Bed was very comfortable. The house was well equipped. Plenty to visit in the area. Close to Cowes/San Remo and Inverloch. Stayed for two nights, could easily have stayed longer.

Relaxing with Views

We totally unwound for 2 days. So peaceful with a beautiful view from back decking all the way to the ocean. The sunsets were amazing. Spacious and relaxing home. We would say our stay was perfect. Only criticism would be we wanted to have a BBQ and there wasn't any gas in the gas bottle.. otherwise was a wonderful weekend away.

Peaceful and Private with Great Views

The property is located in a beautiful setting with lovely views from the back verandah and huge expanses of soft grass for the kids or dog to play backyard cricket, soccer, etc. Our kids had a great time exploring the outdoors during our time there. The inside was clean and comfortable with good attention to quality - good quality mattresses, nice linen & towels, good crockery and heaps of cutlery. The inside was not as spacious as we imagined, but the outside more than made up for it. Overall, a great mind & body break away.

We were thinking of staying closer to the beach for our family holiday but thought we might try something different. We were not disappointed, the house whilst not plush - was a great family place, had all the mod cons for a family without being too precious yet is tastefully decorated. It was very homely and the surrounds were terrific. Cows come up to the fence which the kids love, sitting on the verandah beautiful sunset views with rolling hills and the coast in the distance. My kids also loved the freedom and space to play outside - great backyard and lots of cricket played by our family! We look forward to going back.

Nice location but property needs some improvements

Nice location but there is no sufficient air conditioning. Went there over the last weekend with temperatures hitting 35 plus for over 3 days. Only one air conditioner in the living area. None of the rooms had individual air conditioning.

We're pleased you had an enjoyable stay. The heating & cooling at the home were as listed in the home information when the booking was made (I've pasted below), however we were sorry that there was a freak anomaly heatwave that impacted your stay. Heating/Cooling Systems The living room has a wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioner plus a coonara-style wood fire. Every bed has an electric blanket and there are three portable heaters plus one portable fan for use where required.

Beautiful location. No attention to detail.

Stunning rural location, peaceful. Gorgeous wood fire but no firewood ready, blunt axe. Had to drive 30 mins to get fire-starters and find wood. Stale coffee. No milk for welcome cuppa. No bottle opener. Rug and bedding worse for wear. Visitor book full from years ago. I bought another for others to record their memories. Rusting shelf and tiles broken in shower. Disappointing but would stay again for tranquility and view. Just bring your own everything. !!

Nice stay but…

Overall we had a wonderful stay, however they can improve immensely on the cleanliness of the property. We had unclean microwave, no bins, dirty tissues left in a room. Highly recommend checking the coffee machine and the filter before use to ensure it is clean. There was no tissues/alfoil/glad wrap etc so pls make sure if you are staying and wanting to use the kitchen to cook bring your own. Location is great, nice and quiet and space for our dogs, great view!

Great getaway

Easy check in, this house has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Very well equipped kitchen, loved the coffee machine! Comfy couches, nicely decorated rooms. Coonara and plenty of wood. Beautiful view from the hilltop back down to the ocean. Would stay again.

RELAXATION

My trip was booked for a break away with my husband to switch off and relax. This property provided just that and more!!! The images presented do not to the place justice. The place has been renovated and I was surprised at how beautiful and cosy it was. The outdoor atmosphere with those views was an amazing bonus which really allowed us to relax The only downside we experienced is there is no entire property fencing (which we were aware of) but in addition the space stated to be fenced for dogs wasn't secure as the side door didn't shut at all and the space inside wasn't cleaned up. This meant having to keep any eye out on my dog always to ensure it didn't walk off to the road. Easy fix so thought I'd note it. (However if you ever get a chance to put a fence on the entire property that would be amazing!) Other quick feedback - please state where kindling is for the fireplace. We went looking for some and tried making it as we couldn't find any till the last day in a small hidden box but it wouldn't have been enough either way. Other than the above everything was perfect and will 100% be returning :)
