Perfect family vacation

We had a great stay! The house was beautiful and it was only a short walk to the beach. The kids enjoyed the pool and the outside grill was perfect! Definitely recommend! Parking was great too and could fit up to 3 cars.

Visited on an annual trip with friends from graduate school, easy check in process, amazing distance from the boardwalk and beach, totally walkable. Property was clean and accessible, with tons of parking nearby and on the driveway.

Excellent location and very unique property

The location to Oceanfront and beach access could not have been any more perfect-we walked to coffee shops and cafe's from the house. Overall we had a great experience-if I was going to note any drawbacks it would just be that the internet modem was down for much of the time, which is not a big deal if you are out and about for the day, but the connectivity was spotty if you plan to work. The wraparound porch was dusty and the cushions were dirty upon arrival, but not a big deal to just brush it off and sweep a bit as we did. The house and community in general is very unique. We hosted a baby shower for may daughter at the location-all the guests loved it. Keep in mind, there are no paper towels, kitchen towels, dish or hand soap, sponges, beach towels-so be sure to bring those items with you. It is an old house, it creeks, there are drafts, and a few other oddities, but for the age of the home, that is expected. Overall we were very pleased with location, size, value, and communication with the property management-we would recommend this property.

Roaches, Ants, and Filth

The advertisement looked lovely but this place had roaches and ants! There was trash under the beds, dining room cabinet, and kitchen cabinet. The pots in cabinets had food stuck in them. There was someone’s dirty laundry left in the washer. The shower curtain was covered with mold and mildew. When my sister opened the sofa bed up the mattress was soiled and full of crumbs and dirt. And the morning of my check-in, the property manager called to tell me that the grill was broken but that we could use the one behind a house three doors down - so we walked over there to use it and it was filthy. I called the property manager and asked to be moved or have my money refunded. He sent the housekeeper back to clean - she cleaned just a couple of items and put in a new shower curtain. Someone sprayed for bugs outside but we continued to have roaches and ants. I called, texted, and emailed but got no more responses. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY.

Horrible Property Do not rent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot express more strenuously my dissatisfaction. I spent $4,519.05 with you and almost nothing was as advertised. I must give this experience the lowest rating possible. Several factors/scenarios precipitate this evaluation: 1. **Foremost among them is the fact that on-call support is nonexistent.** It took numerous calls and text messages to get any response. The owners/manager knew when I booked months in advance that I would be here on a weekend, so an after-hours/on-call contact mechanism should have been in place to handle guest needs. 2. **Instead of receiving a welcome packet and access information in a timely manner,** I was not contacted until I was almost at the property, and that was only after hours of messaging with multiple VRBO agents while in the airport and numerous unanswered phone calls. 3. **The home had broken furniture that should have been repaired or removed before my arrival.** Specifically, a cabinet door was broken in the entryway, and the dining table had a glass top that was cracked and covered with scotch tape, providing limited protection for my six grandchildren who had to take their meals there. 4. **The home was/is infested with ants and roaches.** Ostensibly, it was sprayed before our arrival, but the activity and number of insects suggest otherwise. 5. **None of the TVs worked in the house, and only one laptop was able to connect to Wi-Fi,** severely dampening our festive family vacation and limiting our ability to provide remote

He finally picked up, than gave us the right code. When we walked in the house was not cleaned food still in the fridge, And on floor, beds still had sheets on them. The ants were really bad when you first walk through the door. About our second night there we found a bug inside not realizing it was a cockroach... Our last night there were way more cockroachs inside and outside on the porch. When the cleaning people came it took them ahout 1 hr and 30 mins so we didnt get unpacked until around 8-8:30 pm We only got the cleaning fee back which i feel isnt enough for the inconveniences that we had. The outdoor grill was nasty had green powder all over it so we had to cook in the house. I will say the location of the house was nice! Also the pool was great

Location is excellent.

Some Good and Some Bad

We were very skeptical of the place based on previous reviews, but it wasn’t near as bad as they claimed. It wasn’t the cleanest, and you can tell where it’s still under construction, but everything was functional. The location was incredible, but the house wasn’t worth the price. We paid way too much money to still have bugs, a leaking sink, and no grill. The AC worked fine, no problems. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was very cramped. Overall, good place, but way too expensive for what you get.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I found YPB easy to work with. At first I hadn't gotten the check-in info email but a quick call cleared that up. The location of the house in Hemingway's Village is great for easy access to the beach. We were here in first week of April so weather was cooler. The idea for the house and the village itself is good, a series of properties renovated that share a common back patio, pool, and grill area. It all seems very unfinished though and the grill had no propane. The house was nicely furnished although some of it seemed cheap and moldings and such were missing. The windows are original and most don't open. Some staples were missing from the kitchen, cutting boards, a baking sheet, garbage bags, but we were able to make do. Overall it was comfortable for my family for a week. The only dealbreaker for me would be the HVAC. We had one day that reached the 80's during our week and the air condition unit could not keep the second level cool enough for comfortable sleep and trying so made the lower level very cold as the thermostat is on the upper level. If a late March day was too hot I can only imagine trying to sleep during the summer. The house would likely benefit from a dual-zone system. So I recommend for off-season but I wouldn't stay there during summer.

The porch was rotted, holes in the walls, floorboards in the house rotted, not cleaned, and smelled. My family was extremely disappointed. We paid $1,200 to stay for 3 nights, and we upheld our end of the agreement, but the YPB Resorts did not. We want our money back. Do not use this company!!! It’s a scam!

We were also on the front lawn during the 4th of July and were told that we weren’t allowed there and had to move to the back of house. The back door also wouldn’t open and when we finally got the door to open, the key got stuck in the door. However, they came pretty quickly to fix that. We were also promised a grill, but weren’t allowed to use it. In addition, the door handle to one of the bedrooms wasn’t even connected and would just fall off as you would try to open the door. Also, NONE of the kitchen drawers had handles. The house seems to be still under renovation and from the looks of it, could use it.
