Lovely spacious apartment with a stunning view of the sea. Access to the secluded beach couldn’t be simpler. So nice to be so close to the sea that you can hear the waves all day. The property manager Liz was very helpful and prompt with responses to any queries we had. Private parking was also a major plus.

High Quality Apartment in a Great Location

Perfect location

Clean, amazing view and really stunning location - steps from the beach!. Liz was fantastic and the place was spotless. One recommendation is a new bbq because that was a bit dated but Liz suggested this would be done. Really nice spot for a week long stay, or even less.

The pictures on the website are a true reflection of the apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well maintained and the location is ideal, just far enough to be tranquil but close enough to everything we wanted to do. We had a fantastic time and most certainly would stay there again. Liz was excellent and very accommodating and the staff were very friendly.

Holiday In Paradise

This property is exceptional. My family of 6 was very comfortable since there was ample room for all of us to relax and feel at home. The balcony is large enough for everyone as well as the beautiful pool which was used every day of our stay. I would highly recommend this apartment and Liz is an outstanding manager. She was always there for us.

Best Relaxing Beach Vacation Ever

Great apartment and Liz is great, great communications and super easy to deal with. Rodriguez car rentlas were not good to deal with so I would stick with Thrifty who are also right at the airport. We saw Turtles laying eggs so mother nature at its finest and right outside the apartment on the beach. Great restaurants less than 100yards, Waves and Seahorse, Great place to relax

Beautiful Villa

Beautiful villa just steps to the beach. Villa is as shown in the photos, well stocked, clean and beds are very comfortable. We sat on the patio every morning to feed and watch the hummingbirds, woodpeckers, etc., that came to visit. It is about a 10 minute walk on the road (or on the beach) to Shirvan Road where the local shops are. There is a fruit vendor, small supermarket, a few restaurants and a wonderful ice cream shop. Great communication with Liz, I would highly recommend this property and look forward to returning in the future.

Ladies Trip at Chaconia Suite

This property is extremely well situated and presented. Beautiful furnishing and well stocked, with the property Manager, Liz, only a call away for any questions. Lenore, the wonderful housekeeper is also a joy. We were all friends from work and mostly ate in each evening - the kitchen is very well supplied and had all the utensils we needed. The location of the apartment was ideal - short drive to supermarkets and restaurants, a pool for those that wanted to lay out and the beach on the end of the garden for walks and se swimming. The day after we left Tobago, I booked my return trip for next year - cant wait.

Heaven!

We were at Chaconia Suite for 3 weeks, and I wish it had been 3 months. Every detail has been thought of. The Suite itself is wonderful and very comfortable. The pool and grounds are lovely. Liz is a dream to work with and she went over aqnd above with us. First we lost the key to the safe and she made numerous trips around the island looking fr a replacement. Then, as we were leaving, she noticed that our rental car tire was low on air, so she followed us to the airport just to make sure that we got there OK. She checked in on us several times a week just to make sure that all was well. Lenore, our very sweet and wonderful housekeeper kept everything spotless, and was totally unobtrusive. We are already planning a return trip in 2024.

Short getaway to tropical paradise

Everything about our stay at Chaconia was exceptional. Liz, the property manager, was a tremendous help from the very first stage of the booking process. She helped with transport from the airport, arranging a rental car, and was there to greet us promptly on our arrival despite our early flight time (6:30AM)! We had stayed at this property 9 years ago, and we were very impressed with how well everything has been maintained in pristine condition despite the passage of time. Everything in the unit was clean and functional. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and equipped with all appliances, dishware, cooking utensils, etc. The covered porch overlooking the gardens and the beach is perfect for relaxing afternoons, and the close proximity to the beach is wonderful. We had our 86 yr-old mother with us, and we especially appreciated the easy access to/from the unit - from the front drop-off area it is only a couple of very small easy steps to walk right into the unit, and our Mom had no issues whatsoever. We would highly recommend Chaconia to anyone looking for a quiet, luxurious villa stay on a gorgeous, quiet Tobago beach! We certainly hope to be back - and hope it will not be nine years lapse this time!!

Home away from Home Paradise!

Let me start by saying that this is our third vacation in Tobago, and having stayed at Chaconia all three times, we can't imagine staying anywhere else. The location, pool, beach and amenities are second to none. The owner, manager, and housekeeper are easy to deal with, and truly care that you are happy with the property and your vacation. It has been two years since we have been there, and the upgrades that have been made are greatly appreciated. The new kitchen sinks, counters and the cooktop were a pleasant surprise, they look and perform great! New items have been added to the already perfectly appointed kitchen, you can even cook your own pizza with the non-stick pizza pan. This is the only rental unit that we have stayed at that provides your hand soap in all three bathrooms, and kitchen, as well as beach and bathroom towels, dish soap, paper towels, garbage bags, and laundry soap so that you can pack lighter for your trip. Lenore leaves tea, spices, salt and pepper, etc so that you don't have to buy/bring every little thing. The new mattress on the master bed is perfect to dream your night away listening to the waves. All of the outdoor spiral staircases at Black Rock Dreams have been replaced, with both safety and style in mind. Judi checked us in, and Lenore kept everything spotless during our 2 week stay. Liz texted and stopped in to make sure we were happy from time to time. Chaconia is one of those places that you will search for but never find anywhere else. We are looking forward to 2021 and our next visit to Chaconia.

Home Sweet Home

Chaconia is a special place, that makes you feel welcome and relaxed. This was our second time ( 1 week in 2014, and 2 weeks this year) staying in the paradise that is known as Chaconia. It took us three years to return, and it was exactly as we remembered! The four of us, 2 from Canada, and 2 from Sweden are already longing to return. So much so that we have already booked our next trip! From Liz meeting us with keys in hand, walking us through to show us the updates since we had been there, to Lenore's friendly "hello" when she arrived to clean, to Chris tidying up the gardens and telling us the best place in Scarborough for pizza...we could not have asked for more. Liz is a wealth of knowledge, you have only to ask! New this time was an email every few days from Liz with the upcoming weather. She knew that we were out and about on the Island, so it was thoughtful of her to give us the extra information. Chaconia is perfectly appointed for those who enjoy cooking, with everything that you could want. We borrowed the grill and enjoyed fresh red snapper as well as chicken. The small vegetable stands are great for buying produce both familiar and also those that are not available in your home country, and if you ask, the venders are happy to tell you how to cook dasheen and callaloo(spelling) as well as the others whose names escape me. Delicious! *Note that for those who do not want to cook, The Fishpot, and The Seahorse Inn are excellent, and an easy walk from Black Rock! The beds are comfortable, and the ceiling fans and air conditioners maintain the temperature exactly as you wish! The ensuite bathrooms for the master and the queen rooms have great showers, as well as the convenience. Chaconia is located on one of the nicest, quietest beaches, in our opinion! There are many small beaches as you tour the island, but this one, not being along the main road, seems to be a little quieter. The Tobago winds were a little high, and waves as well when we were there this year, but the bay in front of Chaconia and to the right always provided an easy entry into the sea. If you are looking for just the right place to take your family, friends, or just escape on your own, Chaconia is it. Go for it!

Chaconia Delight

Chaconia is a delightful apartment in a quite lovely location. We had a three week stay there and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is refreshing to report that the advertised listings were accurate in all respects and detail. Everything was as described and all the photographs do justice to a finely equipped and beautifully located apartment. We could not fault the way the apartment was presented, being spotlessly clean, well equipped and well maintained. If there was a minor hiccup of any type it was swiftly dealt with by the pleasant and very efficient manager working on behalf of the owners. The on-site manager was also extremely helpful, informing us of any on-going external maintenance that was due to be done. From beginning to end the owner was most helpful, providing a very full service that was detailed and clear in every respect. Everything was done in a friendly and welcoming manner and dealt with very speedily. We would certainly recommend Chaconia to anyone who is looking for a high quality, luxury apartment in a perfect setting on a perfect beach! I am sure you would struggle to find anything to beat this apartment and location in Tobago. Even the four days of incredibly loud electioneering before a General Election could not detract from the essentially tranquil nature of Black Rock Dreams! The only sound that really mattered was the waves breaking on the beach. The swimming and snorkelling were fantastic on the beach immediately in front of the apartment. We also hired golf clubs and played at Mount Irvine Golf Club, only a 5 minute drive away. We also recommend car hire from KCNN, a reliable company who hire at a very reasonable rate by comparison with the normal very expensive rates prevalent on the island. Your vehicle will be older and possible less smart than some but it will do the job, at an affordable rate, on an island with roads that can be 'interesting' to say the least. Do have at least one drive around the whole island, visit Speyside, Charlotteville and Englishman's Bay. Also you should eat at the Seahorse Inn and the Fishpot (both very good but relatively expensive), the Bamboo Mile (moderate prices), Pasta Gallery and Caffe Mia (fabulous value at reasonable prices, the latter doing a quite superb Sunday Roast!). Breakfast at the House of Pancakes is worth it despite appallingly slow service!! You are on Tobago and Tobago Time applies to almost every activity. Enjoy it all! We did in every repect.

Chaconia = sehr schönes und hochwertiges Feriendomizil! Lage: optimale Lage auf der karibischen Westseite (Sundown) - ruhig und dennoch schnell ĂŒberall hinzukommen - Leihwagen empfohlen! RĂ€ume: Master Bedroom sehr großzĂŒgig, sonstige Schlafzimmer eher nur als solche zu nutzen. Wohn-Ess-KĂŒchenbereich sehr groß und hervorragend ausgestattet! mit Flach-TV, IPod-Anschluß etc., sowie Waschmaschine + Trockner vorhanden und WLAN-Anschluß mit ordentlicher Leistung Anwesen: sehr gepflegt, hoher Standard, Pool zwar klein (schwimmen nicht möglich) aber traumhafter Blick ĂŒber Beach und Sonnenuntergang mit direktem Strandzugang -> entschĂ€digt mehr als genug Terrasse sehr großzĂŒgig, gutes Mobiliar (bequem) und schöner Blick auf Beach Tiefgarage ist nicht riesig aber einen Platz fĂŒr den Wagen findet man immer. Beach: Am Wochenende sehr gern genutzt von Tobagonians - aber dennoch ruhig (gegenĂŒber Pigeon Point) schöner - etwas dunklerer - Sandstrand, sauber und Klasse zum baden/schnorcheln; z.B. bei Felsen sehr guter Schnorchel-Spot (einige Schnecken, zahlreiche MorĂ€nen und rel. viel Fisch) Personal: Liz (Managerin) kĂŒmmert sich umgehend um Problembehebung, ist sehr hilfsbereit und nett. HausmĂ€dchen kommt pĂŒnktlich, arbeitet ordentlich, schnell und fast unsichtbar. Chris ("Hausmeister") ist Schweizer und schon etliche Jahre auf Tobago - sehr bemĂŒht die Vegetation unter Kontrolle und das Anwesen sauber und schön zu halten und ist natĂŒrlich auch sehr nett.... und ein "Philosoph". Zu Ihm gehören ein kleiner lieber Hund und zwei Katzen die sich auf dem GelĂ€nde frei bewegen können - und nicht aufdringlich sind. Insgesamt bleibt zu sagen: Wir kennen Tobago nun schon seit fast 20 Jahren und waren ein halbes Dutzend mal hier .... wirklich kein Haus auf der gesamten Insel besitze diese klasse Lage direkt mit Strandzugang und Pool! Peacefully Remote yet close to Everything you need

Our family of four spent four nights visiting from the U.S. The property is clean and well maintained. The property is on the beach but protected behind a locked gate. It is within walking distance of two restaurants that are both very good (opinion from a New Orleans native). Black Rock is about 18-24 minute easy drive from the airport. It gets dark and quiet early. No real night club scene but the restaurant bars were just fine for us. The property manager, Liz, is great to work with and very communicative and involved in making sure you are comfortable and satisfied. The grocery store is about a 10 min drive away. Bring your best parking skills. The gated parking garage is tight.

wonderful stay at the best beach of Tobago

We spent a week at Chaconia. The spacy appartement is directly located at a wonderful beach (very clean, swimming, snorkeling, talking to fishermen, birds (albatros)). Just after our arriving we saw small turtles running out of their nest to the ocean. Liz was a great manager. She answered quickly if we had a quetsion. We appreciated her service filling the fridge before our arrival. We also visited the restaurants she recommended (either orally or in her short guide), which made our stay there easy and in good memory. She also offered another appartment for the time we had to wait for our flight. In summary we very much enjoyed our stay at Chaconia and missing so many things now while we spent the rest of our holidays in Barbados.

Breath-taking view!

My family and I recently stayed at the Chaconia suite. We had a fabulous time. The villa was impeccably clean, spacious and is modernly outfitted. The ocean views and sunset from our balcony was absolutely breath-taking. Access to the beach are a mere footpath away and we could sit and watch the kids in the pool while enjoying the ocean sounds. Access to restaurants and mini marts are within walking distance. Our stay was a fabulous one. We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you to Liz, our villa manager for making our stay at Chaconia a very memorable and comfortable one.

Another fabulous stay

Our second time to the property and it was even better than last year. New countertops in the kitchen and we found the movies in the nook area so we enjoyed an evening of “Pirates if the Caribbean”! The hummingbirds were active off the terrace along with the largest pigeon we’ve ever seen. We snorkeled every day and saw 3 eels our last day along with the gorgeous fish. Our girls collected a huge stash of sand dollars too in the ocean. We hope to come back before we move from the Caribbean. Thanks again for a relaxing place to stay.

I have been living in Tobago for the past 22 years, I was married to a Trinbagonian, whom I met in England. After many years he decided to come 'home' so I came with him! Before I moved here I worked for a couple of travel companies in the UK, as well as travelling around the world. I have visited many beautiful countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Southern Africa, Cook Islands, Samoa, Fiji, Tahiti, Thailand plus many more. Although Tobago is small, it has so many fantastic features that many of the above islands do not have and yet it is still a hidden treasure ready for you to explore.

It's all about the location and the amenities of this property, situated on what I believe is the nicest beach in Tobago. Grafton Beach is a long sandy beach with a gentle slope into the sea.
The apartment is set up in such a way it is like a home from home, with just about all the creature comforts you need in a self-catering apartment, making your stay the most enjoyable it can be.
Located to one side of the building, you reap the benefits of the lush tropical garden and local birdlife, whilst still enjoying the view of the Caribbean sea. The side aspect also means more light and breeze on those hot tropical days and nights...

Location, location, location... If a Caribbean beach is your ideal vacation, then Chaconia delivers it in full! Only a small number of properties in Tobago have direct beach access - Chaconia is one of the few!

The apartment is also suited to those who are slightly less physically able or have young children, as it is all one level. Additionally as it one of the lower level apartments in the building, there are fewer steps to the grounds.

For the safety conscious traveller, there is comfort in the knowledge of a monitored alarm system, should you feel the need to use it.

Our housekeeper visits Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays (excluding Public holidays), so no need to worry about general housework whilst on your holiday...
