Amazing home conveniently located

Port A Family trip

House was nice but also located in the back of am Rv park. You can see the ocean from the second and 3rd floor but not the first. Access to beach is close by with a golf cart.

Beautiful home

Even though previous tenants left very late, the management company let us know and were very accommodating about everything. House was clean and ready about 1 1/2 hours late. House is so close to beach and has beautiful views from all floors. We had a great time and loved the house.

Great location and access to beach. Glad to have access to garage for parking extra cars. Some of the beds were too high for my pregnant daughter so we had to switch up arrangements. The downstairs bunk room was great and my Grandson loved having a TV to play his games.We did have a problem with the refrigerator. The ice maker was froze up and the refrigerator struggled to stay cold. We also noticed water pooling on the floor. Also the large burner on the stove was not heating.

Reviewer Comments: Beautiful views of the gulf, close to beach access walkover, roomy for our large family, the grandgirls loved the bunkroom, Gulf Water facilities were enjoyed - the pool was a hit! Large equipped kitchen! All very clean! Over all it was a great place to stay and make those memories. Only thing to make it perfect is to have more comfortable seating that accommodates everyone in the main living room and dining area.

3 day Weekend trip

The home was lovely and certainly provided sufficient space for our family gathering. The house was not properly cleaned upon our arrival and we couldn't open one of the back doors but Harry replied quickly and had a repairman take care of the door. They also offered to send a housekeeper but we did not want anyone in the house due to Covid so I cleaned it up myself. Port A Escapes was very easy to work with and always had an immediate reply to my email. I would rent the house again as it is a wonderful location, right on the beach with amazing views. The kitchen was nicely stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, linens, etc and even a waffle maker!

Thanksgiving Family Getaway

Our family owns a lot on Gulf Waters & we all wanted to be together for Thanksgiving so we rented this house. Overall, a decent place, but probably won't stay at again. Fridge never cooled down in the 5 days we were there. Fridge filter kept leaking and leaving huge leaks on kitchen floor. The fridge water filter was located at the bottom of the fridge and was black and dirty and needed to be replaced. Disposal did not worked and leaked all under cabinet so we could not use one side of the sink all week. There was already a "catch tray" underneath disposal which leads me to believe they were aware of the leak. Understandable it was Thanksgiving so no answer from maintenance. emailed management with issues upon departure and received no response for 3 days until I emailed again. Cleaning should focus on vacuum of floors and carpeted area. They were covered with debris and looks like they just vacuumed around the chairs and furniture. My sister had to vacuum the entire living/dining area. Location of property was really the best part of our week. Agree with other reviews that house needs some updating and there needs to be more comfortable seating to accommodate everyone. Folding chairs provided were so rickety no one dared to sit in them. Great views from the balcony for sure.

Great house/Check in Problems

This great house is located within the Gulf Waters RV Park. Not only having to pick up the entrance key that only opened the back door, renters have to check in with the office at the RV Park. When we did, because we had brought 2 dogs, we were asked for their rabies vaccination numbers or else board them. We had NOT been informed of this policy which caused a lot of consternation since it was 4 o"clock on Friday. Eventually, we were allowed until Monday to get the numbers from our vets. I was NOT happy to start my vacation this way. The good part was that the house was great and the rest of our vacay turned out fine!

Great time with a few hiccups

While we had a great time and enjoyed the property there were a few problems that should not have happened. I saw that there was an issue with the fridge and ice maker in a May review and assumed it would be taken care of in the month before we arrived, my bad. Upon arrival we discovered there was no ice maker at all. It had been removed but not replaced. The property description listed an ice maker. There was an additional refrigerator in the dining room but it didn’t have an ice maker either. The main refrigerator leaked all over the floor constantly. We notified the management company who said they would send someone out but nobody came so we constantly changed towels at the base of the fridge to protect the flooring. Also the amenities listed hair dryers but we couldn’t locate any. The baby gates we not sturdy enough to keep our toddlers off the stairs so we had to purchase our own. There were salt and pepper shakers however they were empty. I guess we are spoiled from other rentals with a whole group of spices to get us started. Most of these problems should have been handled prior to our arrival or at least notified us of the issues before hand.

Very Disappointed is the under statement of the year

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To start with the house is at the end of a RV park which requires you to drive through the park to go anywhere. This certainly wasn’t disclosed. I have never written a negative review but feel compelled to do so here. I won’t go into detail about the sinks that drained slow, the screwed up ice maker, the obvious deferred maintenance, etc. I will leave you with this, if someone offered to pay me to stay here a week, all my guest and I would 100% decline the offer. This was the biggest waste of money in all my years of vacationing.

Annual extended family vacay

We waited too long to book our annual family trip to port A and this was one of the only places available large enough for our group of 14. I felt like it was a hassle to hav to check at both Port A Escapes as well as the Gulf Waters office. The home on located in the back of an nice RV resort bit the oversight seems overkill. We were made to wear wrest bands and have parking permits on our cars. They patrolled the area at all times and reported any cars parked incorrectly or without a permit. I guess this is where some of your money for added fees goes. When we arrived the cleaning lady was still at work even though it was after 4 pm. The lawn in the backyard wasn’t mown and had grass burrs and there were light bulbs out in caribou’s rooms throughout the house. Normally this would seem minor but we paid a ridiculous amount of $$ in rent + fees (over $6k for three mights) for this place so we expected it to be top notch. It WAS roomy but there was only a tv in one bedroom (though 2 more on common areas) and the WiFi was very spotty. Several things were broken - the keurig, a chair on the back porch, the remotes were all missing backs, etc. Overall this place doesn’t seem to be well maintained for the price. It is at the back of a fancy RV resort that is very particular about everything you do so I expected the home to be in better condition. We never used the pool or activity/fitness center so I can’t comment on them. It was nice to be within walking distance of the beach via the boardwalk, but the beach access road is very far in either direction so if you need to bring a vehicle to the beach it is a LONG drive. We’ve been coming to Port A every summer for most of my life (45 years) and staying in various places and this place didnt live up to expectations.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was very comfortable and the view was just exactly what we were looking for. The home was generally clean inside. The outside could use a little TLC. It was well supplied in the kitchen for all our needs. The beds were comfortable. The only issues we encountered was the washing machine, which was finally taken care of. The dryer's front panel was loose and made some noise when running. We had some "alerts" that went off in the middle of the night. The refrigerator didn't seem like it kept things cold enough and we followed the instructions upon arrival. We did not use the dishwasher as the racks were pretty rusty. That did not pose a problem for us. We have rented this property again for next year so are happy to recommend. Thank you.

Perfect house

This was an amazing house we loved ! It was very clean!! The 1 st floor was perfect for the teens!!

What a great time and experience!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an excellent vacation getaway with the whole family and this home was perfect for handling the 12 of us. Great memories were made and the home contributed to that with its close proximity to the beach and ocean views. The house has all you need to keep everyone comfortable and happy!The management TEAM was friendly and helpful. They were quick to respond to WIFI connection issue which was a quick and easy resolution.My Mom and Dad, brothers and sister along with their families thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. I recommend this property to anyone in search of great memories to be had!

Great house very bad house keeping

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great. Well equipped with anything you would need. But the house was not cleaned properly by the housekeeping. Even the linen was not changed on all beds. We had to find extra linen and change it. The bunk bed was broken on our arrival and when notified to the management they didn’t fix it that night and we had to sleep on floor. They fixed it the next day. With cleaning fee of $300+ we expected a cleaner house.
