This place was great for a guys trip, very close to the mountain base and not a far drive/bus to the town. Had 6 guys and we fit very well. No complaints.

Cozy vibes, beautiful view

We stayed here with family for a summer wedding. The unit was clean and comfortable and had a perfect view of Crested Butte. Perfect for relaxing after busy days of wedding activities. One note -- there were quite a few stairs getting from the parking lot to the unit. This was not an issue for us but just something to keep in mind if you have less mobile guests.

Perfect Ski Rental

This was a perfect location for our group’s little weekend ski trip. The space was perfect for us and it was so close to the main lifts. My husband and I got to Crested Butte earlier than check in at the rental. We ended up parking in the public lot to ski and it was a much further walk than staying here. The place was very clean and had plenty of space for our group. The only small issue we had was finding the garage for the additional parking, but Paul was very quick to help us. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again in the future!

Great location

Condo was clean and well equipped. The location is great as it is right at the end of the footbridge so super easy walk to the lifts. Lots of steep stairs to condo though, so be aware of that. Condo is a little dark as the porch is almost all buried in snow right now. It is cold inside unless you light a fire - bring matches and newspaper. We didn't have firewood but called on-site manager and they delivered quickly.

Location, location, location

Again, location is the biggest attraction for this rental. Less than a 5-min walk to the base. So easy to ski for a few hours, walk back for lunch, then head back out. Could not have run more smoothly for us. The condo is a bit dated, but they are working to update it. There was ample room and supplies for our 5 teenagers. We all enjoyed the fab view of the mountain from the main sitting area. Beware that there are a lot of stairs within the condo and to initially get to the condo from the parking lot. There is even parking in a shared 2-car garage, which was handy. We will be back

Get your hike in at the Condo

The view was wonderful but other than that, this property is in GREAT need of remodeling! The hike from the parking lot to the unit is great training for skiers but if you are not in training, it is the pits! We had four adults and LOTS of luggage and grocery items. This property reminds me of low income housing that has not been properly taken care of. The upstairs bathroom shower nozzle fell off when touched, one corner of one of the kitchen drawers was broken off, the fixtures were old and looked as though they had been there since the early 70's. The dining and living areas were ok although very dark. The stairs inside the unit were narrow and steep. The bedrooms are tiny and should not have more than a twin size bed in each. The "wall of windows" in each bedroom that opens to the living area allows for NO privacy either in the bedroom or the living areas. There is a hand railing on one of the lower level decks leading to this unit (25) that is loose and wobbly. I have used Vrbo to rent homes in Florida and a townhouse on this same Colorado trip and have been very satisfied with all but this unit in Crested Butte was the WORST and a big disappointment.

Charlotte, we're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay at this condo. The homeowner would like to note that the condo complex was built in the 70's and the HOA is working on repairing the stairs down to the lower level units before the winter. Unfortunately, because of all of snow this past winter, the stairs took quite a hit. We checked the listing for accuracy and can see that the pictures do accurately represent the condition of the property. The property has some updated kitchen appliances, new baseboard heaters, a ceiling fan, and picture windows. And, the owner is also in the process of updating the unit and plans to do the bathrooms and carpet sometime soon in the future. However, we're sorry if you feel as though the unit is outdated. We apologize that the bathtub faucet handle was not working properly during your stay. They already fixed it to ensure that the issue does not recur for future travelers. The owner also wishes you would have reached out while you were still in the residence with any of your concerns as they would have been happy to go to generous measures to make things right. The owner believes that this property provides an incredible value for its amazing view, fantastic location, and proximity to many mountain activities. This owner truly goes above and beyond for their guests, and we're confident future guests will have exceptional stays! Best, the Evolve Team

Very poor condo quality and management of the property

We (2 couples and two kids) decided to stay here for a fun long weekend in one of our favorite places. The location is like the ad states, right next to the bridge to the base area. That's the only thing that was good about this place. Below is a list of items we provided to the managing company there were unacceptable, we included photos for most of these items, too. - Parking for one car, you will have to pay for parking if you have more than one car. For an eight person condo, you would expect more parking or clear communication about this constraint from the HOA. It was not communicated to us until after the booking and we confirmed this with the managing company over the phone during our stay. - 1 key, again for an 8 person place, similar to the parking issue, we expected more. - Tattered door frames & walls, there were very used doors and walls everywhere - Poor caulk in kitchen & bathrooms, it was cracking all over - Holes in living room wall, think college rental after a big party - Bulky awkward bedroom furniture, difficult to move around and very out of place - Old mattresses, very uncomfortable - Fan in upstairs bathroom doesn't work - No lock bathroom door downstairs, it's a door handle with a hole - TV poor signal - Wood floor missing by refrigerator - Burner on stove (front left) is unstable...and could use a deep clean - Noisy stairs up to loft and bedrooms plus the bedrooms have no sound proofing to the living room (interior bedroom windows that don't seal) - Mold on walls above shower upstairs - Sliding door hard to open, always took 2 hands with some muscle - Towel rack downstairs coming off the wall - Loud / dysfunctional disposal - Fog between windows to patio - No firewood, we had to get some from the long term renters next door - Cold, we arrived to a 55 degree condo and it took a few hours to warm up. We're all for saving energy and money; however, this was a bit too cold. - Low quality closet doors, they were actually curtains. We felt with the pictures and conversations with the managing company during our stay that we would be able to recoup some of our cost. That was not the case and we ended up paying for a college rental plus parking costs at an unacceptable price. We also received a vague and meaningless response about our request for partial refund. Disappointing to say the least. We hope this helps others with the expectations for this place.

Ok for one time stay, but wont be back

When we arrived at unit we were distressed to find our outdoor patio was stacked the entire length with firewood, making it unusable during our visit. I contacted our "host "about this and was informed wood had been delivered that a.m. and I could sit out in gravel area in front of patio, weather was quite warm during our visit, or move firewood (probably a winter's worth!) I booked unit primarily for view so hosts response was not acceptable. Other units had firewood but not blocking use of patio. Reviews on the stairs involved in and out of unit can not be overstated. Very physically demanding location. Stairs everywhere! Loading and unloading luggage and groceries was quite a project. Dishwasher was not secured and tips out. Host did not respond to any maintenance issues after initial contact. I think we'll pass on coming back here....

Hi Brenda, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. the homeowner would like to share the following: - We apologize for the inconvenience with the firewood. However, it did not block the view of the mountains and guests are still able to enjoy the outdoor space. - We do include a disclaimer on our listing regarding the stairs so that guests can determine if this is the right rental for them. - The dishwasher can occasionally have a slight tilt but is fully functional. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

Room with a VIEW

This was an amazing property with tons of space for group of 7. With all the ammenities needed and great location! The back patio view of Mt. CB was breathtaking, loved waking up to that view every morning!

Mountain get away

Amazing location for a weekend get away. Cozy condo with fire place and full kitchen. Did try to reach out to manager during stay for a replacement battery for c02 detector. Did not get a response.

Great views and comfortable condo

This was a great condo - comfortable for our family of 4. The back patio is perfect for a cup of coffee while enjoying the tremendous view of Mt. Crested Butte. Easy access to the village area and a quick bike ride to town. We'll be back!

First Time to CO

This condo was fantastic and within a short driving distance of everything we wanted to see and do. The lift at the base area of Mt Crested Butte was closed, otherwise we would have only had a short walk to have access to the lift up. Amenities were updated and functioned well. Bed was very comfortable, as were the other furniture provided. We loved our stay here! Would definitely recommend for anyone wishing to see the areas

Great location and comfortable

You never know what you are gonna get when you show up for a rental. But we were perfectly satisfied with this spring break rental at Snowcrest Condominium. Value received for price point felt very fair and good. The condo is a very easy walk to the two main lifts Red Lady Express and Silver Queen. There is an overpass bridge right out of our door to the ski slope side. It's only minutes by car to the Crested Butt downtown, and the free shuttle bus is also just a couple of minutes walk to the other side of the street. All the ski rental shops, eateries are all clustered around the lifts, very convenient. Other things to like: A good size hot tub, clean and relaxing also just a few steps away. The condo itself is well stocked with kitchen stuff and general stuff in bathrooms. There were extra space heaters and humidifiers if you need them. Cupboards are rather full/cluttered with past guests' staples like oils, seasonings, flour, etc.. but on the other hand, I did not have to run right out to get something. It was clean enough. It was not lux in details but you don't need that for the ski area, and the pricing was competitive for the spring break period, so no disappointment. The furniture is as seen in photos and are comfortable. Overall, it was a great stay. The condo served us well and snow was great. We liked Crested Butt and can see us going back again.
