Lovely cosy home to stay in with the family, really enjoyed our holiday here. Everything perfect!

This place is a home, and really felt like it, inside and out. Really couldn’t complain about anything. Paynesville is a lovely town, would highly recommended this place to stay with a family and pets. We are a family of 6 with dogs and it was perfect for our getaway. Thank you for having us.

Doggy holiday

We really enjoyed our stay in Paynesville and the dogs had so much fun going for lots of walks and swimmimg in the lake. It was great that the yard was fully fenced, and was a really good size so the dogs could run and play. We were really surprised and delighted with the goodies left for us 😀

well hardly pet friendly when a large german shepherd was in backyard when we arrived and not ours.......... fencing falling apart in a number of areas adjoining neighbors with a german shepherd and a large rottweiler.sizeable gaps under front door.

A 3 night get away to enjoy the sunny weather

This cottage has been renovated and is very comfortable however all the carpet and mats are very dirty which makes the whole cottage look dirty. Property we think also may need re-blocking as it slopes in many places. We did not have children with us, but I would not have allowed toddlers to play on the carpet or crawl on mats or carpet.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Inside of the house was fantastic! Everything we needed, comfy and well appointed. Lots of space, bedrooms great. The property was advertised as pet friendly but we with broken fencing our dogs escaped twice and we had to do our own make-shift repairs to stop them. The yards/gardens front and back were messy and needed mowing. Hard to pick up all your dog poo as requested when the grass is so long. Old building materials scattered around; wood with nails poking out (thankfully I found before kids or dogs got injured) and old tin pieces in garden beds very unsafe. Check in and out easy, great location but given that we chose this place specifically for it’s pet friendly rating, it did not live up to expectations.

Nice cottage, but needs a bit of work.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was nice and quaint and did what it needed to do, however the children's rooms with the bunks need some attention. The sheets are well beyond their useful life, (haven't seen sheets that old since the 80's) and the curtains were paper thin and blocked nothing. The house appeared only to be cleaned to present nicely, rather than being properly cleaned. Eg. Floor behind toilet door was dirty and my three year old found a cigarette lighter under the couch.The floors throughout the entire house creaked, especially outside the kids rooms which was extremely noisy, and the floor in the master bedroom sloped significantly on the side by the carport.Overall it was nice enough, but for the money, the owners probably need to invest a little more back into the property to bring it back up to spec.

Cute house with practical layout

Gorgeous cottage in a quiet area. Great for a family. There are obvious scents of previous animals but this is to be expected in dog friendly accommodation. We enjoyed our stay enormously.

Tired

OK so it could have been better. The house was in a nondescript location (not far to town) but a bit tired. Kitchen and bathroom well appointed-thoughtful provision of laundry powder and fresh bread from local bakery. Cleaning had been good but house a bit musty and the carpet-it just needs to be replaced-it may be clean but its a bit stained and burnt by the fire. The deck out the back is a bit tired also and the Lillypilly tree dropping berries heavily overhangs the deck and BBQ substantially reducing its size and appeal. Years well fenced for dogs who very much enjoyed it.

Well supplied kitchen and the bathroom had everything we needed.I thought the carpet in the living room needed to be professionally cleaned or replaced. I got doggy smells periodically and wasn't sure if they came from the sofa or carpet. The freezer needs to be de-frosted. The builtup ice is over the metal rack. The hot water service to the shower leaves much to be desired. It was exceptionallly difficult to regulate the tempreture of the water when showering. At the price you are charging we would expect a better experience.

Comfortable for young family.

The cottage Itself had all that we needed in terms of kitchen, bathroom, laundry equipment. We felt it could have been cleaner in terms of the dust and cobwebs on and around furniture in all rooms, but noticeable on master bedroom wall, and curtain rails of lounge. Whilst bin liners were provided the bin itself needed a good clean too. We did our poop scoop upon departure but it was clear previous tenants had not cleaned up after there dogs in the yard. Most appreciative of the fast response to replacing the toaster and providing additional bin liners and dish soap.
