Diese schöne, geräumige Wohnung am Strand von Kahalu'u (Turtle Beach) hat eine unglaubliche Aussicht auf das Meer und den Sonnenuntergang und ist die perfekte Flucht für Gäste, die einen einfachen Zugang zum Schwimmen, Schnorcheln, Surfen und Golfen wünschen. Unsere ist eine Einheit im Erdgeschoss im Rücken mit Blick auf das Meer und die Küste (keine Treppe und weg von Straßenlärm).

Unser Komplex, die Beach Villas, ist die neueste Entwicklung in Kailua-Kona und bietet Parkplätze abseits der Straße, einen Infinity-Pool mit Blick auf den Ozean, einen gemütlichen Lavastein, einen Gasgrill und einen großen Picknickbereich mit Tischen, Stühlen und Liegen für Familienfeiern. Die Keikei Bereich der Infinity Pool ist ideal für Kinder zu spielen oder einfach für alle zu sitzen und sonnenbaden im seichten Wasser.

Kahalu'u Beach Park auf der anderen Straßenseite ist gut geschützt durch Seewände und sorgt für sanftes Schwimmen und ein Gezeiten-Pool für Kinder. Meeresschildkröten und bunte Fische verschiedener Arten sind so reichlich, dass dieser Ort das Schnorchelparadies auf der Big Island ist. Unmittelbar nach Norden am Schwimmen / Schnorcheln sind die rollenden Surfen, wo Surfbretter vermietet werden können. Die Gäste können die Boogie Boards in unserem Gerät, die die Mühe der Miete Boards. Kühler, Sonnenschirm, Strandtücher, Liegestühle, Schnorchel und Sandspielzeug stehen den Gästen ohne Aufpreis zur Verfügung. Um jedoch bessere Passungen zu gewährleisten, können die Gäste ihre eigenen Gänge mitbringen.

Golfen im Kona Country Club ist nur 1/2 Meile die Straße hinunter. Sein 4 Sterne Ocean Course bietet eine spektakuläre Einstellung von üppigen, breiten Fairways und dem funkelnden Pazifik zu Füßen. Sein 4-1 / 2-Sterne-Bergkurs mit Blick auf den Ozean bietet ein anspruchsvolleres Gelände mit alten hawaiianischen Felsenrutschen, die durch das Zentrum laufen. Das Vista Restaurant hat eine spektakuläre Aussicht und serviert Frühstück und Mittagessen.

Shopping und Restaurants (einschließlich der berühmten Sam Choy's Kai Lanai) sind alle innerhalb eines kurzen Spaziergangs, so dass unsere Wohnung ein komfortables Zuhause fern von zu Hause für die Gäste.

Unsere Wohnung bietet auch eine komplette Kochküche. Costco ist eine bequeme Haltestelle auf dem Weg vom Flughafen, wo die Gäste können sich für Lebensmittel.

Beautiful condo and location

We absolutely loved this beautiful condo and its location. The condo was right across the street from snorkeling and surfing, and it was well equipped and clean. The view from the lanai was gorgeous and peaceful. Lawrence was very responsive to communication when needed. It was very difficult to leave, and would definelty stay here again.

Great snorkeling at Kahalu'u

This condo was great for the two of us. We each had a bathroom and plenty of closet space. We loved that it is outfitted with everything you need. We used the cooler and beach chairs a lot. Inside eating is limited to the counter, and the stools are too high and hard. Otherwise, it was very nice.

Lovely Lanai

Being able to wander down the hill and across the street to snorkel was definitely a highlight. Our favourite room in the condo was the lanai, with it’s view of the park and ocean. The exterior of the complex is well-maintained with manicured gardens and a nice pool area. The condo itself is a little tired. A coat of paint, clearing the cupboards, removing/replacing the garburator, and new bed mattresses are suggestions for improvements. The property host was very responsive to our texts and emails.

Best location!

Second time we have stayed at the Kahuluu beach villas and absolutely love it! Love the first floor location too! The home was stocked adequately, but wish there were a few more beach towels, foil and Saran Wrap. My only complaint in the amount of toilet paper they give you. They only give you enough for a few days and said we needed to go to the store if We needed more. If I’m paying for 6 days I believe we should get enough toilet paper for 6 days. Just my opinion.

Awesome place except for major one issue!

Great place other than one issue.Only major downside was having to reset the AC timer every 2.5 hours at night. I feel so sleep deprived. The house would turn into a sauna as soon as the AC timed out. And took an hour to cool down again. It made for very long uncomfortable nights.

Excellent location

This property has an excellent location and pool/hot tub amenities. Due to the high surf on several days we took advantage of the pool. The lanai was great and awesome views of the ocean. One item of concern was the air conditioning. We paid 20 per night during the booking, however the air conditioning was unable to cool the unit under 80 degrees Fahrenheit. We followed all of the directions but the velocity and temperature of the air flowing coming out was not going to cool the unit. We wish we could have stopped paying for the air conditioner since it was not cooling the unit.

Hawaii Condo

We arrived to the big island late and we’re tired from a very long day. We had check in instructions but they didn’t work. We called both numbers listed for help. After conversation we finally were able to get the key and open the door. Lawrence was very apologetic for the miscommunication. The condo was quaint and tastefully decorated. It is in need of a deep clean and some minor maintenance.

Clean and convenient

This Kahaluu condo is a newer construction. It’s very clean and well equipped with kitchen wares, towels, and beach stuff. It’s on the first level so a little dark inside with very little natural light. The window in the master bedroom was mostly covered up by a giant tv. Would have rather looked out at ocean. So, that was strange considering there was a giant tv in the family room. The community pool was nice and my husband enjoyed the jacuzzi as well. The location is great. It’s right across street from a well known snorkeling beach. It happened to be closed all week we were there because the coral was spawning. 😕I would recommend this property if you will be venturing out a lot and using it as a home base.

Not My Favorite Place

I have stayed in at least 10 rentals along Alii Drive in Kona for the last 30 years and I have never rented one in which I was disappointed until now. Upon entering the condo, I was very unhappy to see the dirty condition of the bedroom carpets. I contacted the property manager (owner?) and his excuse was that it is going to be replaced but didn’t happen before our arrival. I’m not sure why it wasn’t cleaned, but it is gross. Maybe someone had a pet because there are dirty marks al over the carpets. The furnishings are very uncomfortable. The couch and chair are old and sagging in the middle. The master bed is a foam pad with old pillows. The dishwasher is filthy and full of mold. I ran it, thinking it would clean it, but apparently it needs heavy duty cleaning. The patio furniture, however, is great. The beach chairs are torn and falling apart. One even had some old used bandades in the drink holders. He told me that the housekeeper would bring some new ones but she was actually out of town so we never got them. The showers are large walk-in tile showers. They really need to install some safety bars. There is no place to put your soap unless you want it on the ground so we improvised and used a plastic cup. When we arrived, there was no bath soap provided and limited supplies such as 4 trash bags, 2 very skinny rolls of paper towels, 3 rolls of toilet paper and a tiny sponge which was cut in half. I had to buy laundry soap since there was so little available. And you are asked to wash the beach towels before you leave. More soap would have been nice too. Air conditioner is an extra $15 per day with 17% tax added. Luckily it was comfortable with just the ceiling fans. The condo does not get direct sunlight in October so it stayed cool. The location of this condo is great, right across the street from a great snorkel beach. IF the owner cleaned things up, it would be a nice place to stay.

Wonderful condo, fantastic location!

We stayed at this condo for a week and were 100% satisfied. The kitchen was well stocked for making some meals in and we were amazed at the amount and variety of beach/water supplies, from plenty of beach towels to a beach umbrella and even snorkeling gear! My biggest worry about hotels/rentals is the cleanliness and the condo was super clean. The host, Lawrence, was great about communicating what we needed to do for arrival and departure, and even provided a really handy list of recommended restaurants (which we used and fully agree with!). Lastly, I cannot say enough about this location. The view from the lovely patio was beautiful. We were close to everything, plus had a great beach right across the street that is perfect for snorkeling. I absolutely recommend this condo and hope to stay again some day.

Go someplace else

First, the air conditioning: You don't find out it's $15.00 per day for AC until well after you book. The amenities on the property page show AC, and don't mention extra charge unless you click on View All Amenities (which I didn't need to do, as it seemed to have everything we needed). We went ahead and paid, and found out the AC really only works in the living room. The bedrooms were very warm at night. You can't open the windows because there's a giant TV in the way, plus you can't get cross-ventilation so it wouldn't have mattered anyway. There's sliding doors that can be opened, but no screens, and there are mosquitos. They also didn't mention there's a 6-hour timer on the AC system, so it goes off when you leave for the day and at night while you sleep. It's a very inefficient unit, so it takes a LONG time for it to cool the place. They also didn't mention that there's a lock box on the thermostat, so you can't turn it down. We ran out of toilet paper, and when I asked Lawrence where additional was, he said, "We generally stock 2 big rolls of toilet paper in each of the two bathrooms. Once run out, guests are expected to buy their own. KTA Supermarket or Long’s Drug is only a 5-minute drive to the south of the condo." They also only provide 4 trash bags, 4 tide-pods (and you're expected to wash the beach towels before you leave), and no kleenex anywhere in the condo. It doesn't matter how many people, or how long you stay, that's all you get. They provide beach chairs, but only 2 good ones. Lawrence finally relented, and said he could have the maid service bring more TP by, or we could buy some and he'd reimburse us. The pool and hot-tub were excellent, as was the beach right across the street.

My dad, sister and I stayed here and we absolutely thoroughly enjoyed it! The location is great. Just a few minutes drive into downtown Kona but the best part is it’s right across the street from Kahalu’u beach park which has awesome snorkeling. The condo has all you need for the beach - snorkel gear, towels, boogie boards. The best part was the patio. The picture on the listing does not do the view justice at all. You can watch surfers while relaxing with your morning coffee. Everything was clean and well stocked. The pool is also amazing! The communication from the property manager was great and although we didn’t need anything- I am confident he would have been available if needed. If I ever go back to the Big Island I will definitely be staying here.

My family lives in Laguna Beach, Southern California. My wife and I enjoy strolling along the beach taking in the fresh air and watching the beautiful seascape. I also love snorkeling - swimming among colorful tropical fish and sea turtles. My three sons are avid surfers and bogey boarders. They are out there catching the waves whenever they have a free moment.

While there is surf and sand in California, we love to vacation in the Big Island of Hawaii frequently because of the bluer and warmer water, the greener and lusher vegetation, the colorful tropical fish and the longer riding waves. Besides, we have many cousins throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

My son jumped at the opportunity of buying this unit together with a friend when it became available in early 2014. We enjoy the snorkeling and surfing across street from the condo so much that we just bought a second unit in this small beach front complex. We now have two adjacent units at this favorite spot of ours so that our entire family can return together every year --- we never get tired of it.

In the mornings, we wake up to enjoy the beautiful ocean view from our lanai. After having our morning cup of coffee, we gather our snorkeling gear and walk across the street to enjoy the best snorkeling spot on the island before the crowds show up. Sometime we are the only ones there and get to see the fish and turtles while the water is still pristine. After about an hour, we head back to the condo for a well deserved breakfast. Later in the afternoon after the crowds have left, we return for another round of snorkeling, surfing, or paddle boarding. There is nothing like NOT having to pack your gear, towels, food, and water; driving your car, and then looking for a parking space.
