Thanks for your feedback! I’m afraid there was miscommunication between me and housekeeper about trash- mostly my fault! Cleanliness is important to us! Glad you had good Clemson weekend. We use the ping pong table and pool table all summer in the game room and find it comfortable but appreciate your feedback!

Olga, I am very sorry you were not completely satisfied during your stay in our home. I was actually quite surprised to get this communication after you left. I checked with you the first two days of your stay twice by text asking if you found the house in order and did you have any needs- but I did not get a reply. Then at 11:30 at night on your 4th night at our home, you texted me that the water heater was not working and the TV was not working and you wanted "immediate" attention. I sent two messages and then came in person to the house the next morning at 8:15 am- to find both working fine. That morning you and your husband both told me that all was well and you were enjoying your stay. You were informed prior to your visit that the only large screen TV was in the great room (we had trouble hooking up the basement TV prior to your arrival- we lack in tech skills!) and you still wanted to come to our house. We have direct TV on the main level which is is not reliable during bad weather- that is really out of our control. I’m glad to get your insightful feedback- I will make sure future guests are aware they are staying in our home and the ambience is that of a home rather than a pristine resort. We provided empty drawers, closet space and empty bathroom shelves for guest use and clearly labeled for you. Perhaps your visit would have been more fun had you enjoyed the large deck or played ping pong rather than looking for dust on our scrapbooks. The renter who left the day you arrived was very complimentary of the house and its warmth and cleanliness. In fact they left us a very dear note saying they hoped to return every year. I will be sure future guests are well informed. I understand that our small water heater is not ideal and future renters have been alerted. I think I learned a great deal from your visit- I will ask guests to communicate their expectations before the visit and I will be sure our website post is clear of what our home provides. I have already contacted each of our future guests to be sure they are comfortable with what our home offers. I hope VRBO experiences going forward meet your needs- its clearly not our home. Lyndon

Thanks for your review! It’s confession time- we cleaned ourselves rather than using the housekeeper due to holiday, so sounds like we better stick with our day jobs! We’ve never had feedback on lack of cleanliness since using the housekeeper services! I’m so sorry about that! You were our first true winter rental and will be sure in the future to raise the temperature on the water heater for winter guests. Thanks so much for giving us feedback.
