Zwei herrliche Hütten, schöne Kaminfeuer und ruhige Umgebung. Warum nicht von uns verlangen, Champagne / Blumen für den besonderen Anlass arrangieren. Glückliche Erinnerungen sind wichtig für uns alle. Wenn Sie Vögel lieben dann ein Besuch in Tarnside ist ein Muss, wir haben Spechte, Nuss Hatch, Stieglitz, Zeisig und vieles mehr. Der Kamin kann das ganze Jahr über für die kalten Nächte nutzen. Genießen Sie sammeln Holz für das Feuer und gemütliche Abende auf der Terrasse beobachten atemberaubende Sonnenuntergänge über dem Tarn. Rotes Eichhörnchen sind in der Tarn Woodland ansässig. Wir akzeptieren Hunde, solange sie unter guter Kontrolle können Sie sie in die Felder für einen Lauf zu nehmen. Wir trainieren Rennpferde auf dem Hof, so kommen und sehen, wie sie von Maurice, der Rubstic zum Sieg in der 1979 Grand National ritt geschult. Genießen Sie Golf in Brampton Golfplatz, 5 Minuten vom Tarnside. KINGSIZE Bettdecken auf unseren Doppelbetten, sehr bequem !! WIFI und Sky-TV.

Toller Ort zum Entspannen .: Das geräumige Wohnzimmer verfügt über einen Holzofen, Farb-TV mit kostenfreien Kanälen, CD & Radio und hat einen wunderbaren Blick über den Tarn - ein idealer Ort zum Erholen und Entspannen. Die Küche ist mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet und der Essbereich hat Französisch Türen auf die Terrasse. Es gibt eine gute Versorgung mit Spiele und Bücher, wenden Sie sich an Ihre eigenen DVDs / CDs zu bringen. Ein Merkmal Wendeltreppe führt in das Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, während das zweite Schlafzimmer befindet sich im Erdgeschoss. Beide Schlafzimmer sind wunderschön eingerichtet. Radfahrer und Wanderer können den Zug sehr leicht von Tarnside zugreifen zu können, haben wir ein Paar, das die gesamte Hadrianswall von Tarnside auf ihren Fahrrädern in einer Woche getan hatte !!!

Badezimmer mit Dusche. Wir haben Vogel Tabellen außerhalb der Hütte, und es gibt anumber von Besuchern, um sie mit den Specht Familie, die vor Ort leben !!Rote Eichhörnchen sind die Bewohner an der Tarn, wo sie täglich zugeführt werden. Beide Häuser werden regelmäßig gehalten und aufbewahrt, um einen hohen Standard der Sauberkeit.

Ein wirklich angenehmer Ort zum Verweilen .: Es gibt eine Kirche in Brampton, St Martins, die Fenster von William Morris entworfen hat, von Interesse für einige von euch zu sein !! Gehen Sie für weitere Informationen zur Website. Wandern rund um Brampton ist ein gemächlichen Vergnügen.

What a hidden gem!!

The pictures do not do this place justice! We had a superb time. The host is so helpful & welcoming. So quiet, view is spectacular, the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is perfectly equipped. We will certainly be returning.

What a place to see the Roman Wall.

Ann and Maurice live on a beautiful horse property near Carlisle. They were wonderful hosts. It is a wonderful self catering lodge. We only wish we had mote time to stay and explore.

Peaceful with nice views

Host was very friendly. View was nice. Area was peaceful. Good heating in bedrooms. Log burner was lovely and needed to keep lounge warm.

Relaxing stay in beautiful location

Nice spacious property with everything we needed for our stay. Just as described on the website. The woodpeckers came to eat several times a day right outside the large windows and bunnies played in the long grass. It was also a delight to see the beautiful horses in the stables and fields all around. Very friendly owners.

Last minute booking

Anne responded very quickly to our last minute booking. We had a comfy and private stay. Heating is night storage and log burner so it takes 24 to get the house up to temp but from then on was cozy.

Impressed

First time away with our dog and could not have picked a better place. Anne(owner/host) very welcoming and cannot do enough for you. Plenty of logs for the fire, bottle of wine, fresh eggs, caramel shortcake what a welcome package, don’t think you would get this type of welcome from many places. The lodge was lovely, all the amenities you could need and more, plenty of fresh towels and bedding, the view from the living room was amazing. I found the whole place and surroundings so peaceful even though you are staying beside over 20 racehorses, dogs and chickens. It wasn’t even a problem if you wanted to visit the horses and the staff were very friendly. Great place, I would definitely go back.

Excellent little cottage

We were welcomed by the owners, who are very friendly. After showing us into our cottage we were left alone to enjoy our stay. There was a lovely welcome gift of wine, milk and doughnuts. We were very lucky with weather and enjoyed walking around the tarn and sitting on the patio sipping a gin. It was interesting staying 9n a horse racing stables and we were welcome to visit the horses.

Comfortable cabin

We enjoyed seeing the horses on our walks by with the dogs. They are quite inquisitive and majestic. Very close to Hadrian's Wall and fantastic tea rooms at Lanercost. Anne is a considerate and generous host.

Lovely relaxing break

If you enjoy the country life you will love this place. Horses, sheep, chickens and very friendly dogs who love a bit of attention! I was surprised at how quiet it was with all the animals. You do hear the odd farm vehicle but it is a farm and stables after all. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, with some really nice touches waiting for you on arrival. My hubby loved doing the fire each evening. I loved the view down to the tarn and watching the birds coming in to roost each evening. It’s a great base to explore the upper lakes, Cumbria, Northumberland and the border towns of Scotland. I would recommend this to anyone who likes nature, history or just chilling.

Lovely cottage, peaceful location

Had a lovely 5 night stay at the cottage, our girls loved the horses, they went and saw them and gave them lots of attention and petted them, Ann and Maurice were great hosts, they had two lovely dogs jasper and lucky who came to see us most mornings along with watching the horses outside of the cottage window. There was a lovely lot of hens who kept up amused just outside, it’s a great place to stay, we chose this cottage as our girls love horses and this was the perfect stay for them. The cottage was a fab place to stay, loved it’s peaceful location, the log burner was a bonus, very comfy and lots of extras and so home from home. Will definitely come back again and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks Ann and Maurice.

Don’t hesitate, book here!

Wow! What a fab place to stay! Anne was brilliant, met us and showed us to our lodge (no 2), she had kindly left a bottle of wine and a cake for us as well as fresh flowers - much appreciated! The lodge is very spacious with full length windows to enjoy the fantastic view of the tarn. So peaceful with lots of wildlife to see. The guys in the stables next door were brilliant, they allowed us to pet the horses and even let my daughter sit on one of them, she was made up! The lodge has a outdoor space and everything you need for a comfortable stay, we will definitely return. 10/10

A wonderful holiday!

We stayed at Tarnside farm for 5 nights. We had such a lovely holiday I even asked if we could stay longer! The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed. My little boy loved playing in the sandpit and the little playground they have. There is lots of open space to roam. Anne the owner is very friendly and welcoming we could feed the chickens and even got to meet the horses. It’s a perfect location and we will be booking to stay again. I highly recommend staying here

The perfect break

Really close to the Hadrian’s Wall, we stayed at the cottage which offered us a relaxing stay with the family in the countryside. Really easy to find on our arrival. Horses lovers, rumblers and people looking for historic heritage will love it. Just a short distance from the Tarn Lake with a wonderful walk. Anne was really kind to us.

Maurice and Anne have been at Tarnside for 22 and have been letting cottages and training race horses for 30 yrs.The area is very rural and quiet. Local amenities in Brampton inc a Spar shop. Co-op, butcher,Bank, Dr, Dentist. hairdressers and two super Antique Shops .Maurice is on the photo riding !! Local pub is doing takeaway meals , worthwhile treat!

We came to Tarnside because we needed to improve the training facilities for the horses and live in a lovely area.Tarnside is special and everyone who visits says they want to return soon.The cosy feel of the cottages is just what people need for a relaxing stay. Covid rules apply and we have the necessary hand wash and antibacterial sprays in the cottages.Amazon fire stick ,and Free WiFi ,Netflix.

We love the view and the peace and quiet of our home.lots of wildlife including deer,owls, bats, and an abundance of birdlife.
