Der Name dieses Ortes ist "Bear With Us" Kabine, eine neu gestaltete, gemütliche und einzigartige Rückzugsorte. Die Schönheit liegt im Detail - vom warmen, freiliegenden Holz und vielen sonnigen Räumen bis hin zu modernem Luxus wie einer heißen Dusche und einer Kochküche. Die "Bear With Us" -Kabine liegt auf einem vier Hektar großen Privatwald und bietet einen spektakulären Blick auf die umliegenden Berge sowie die Bäche und die vielfältige Flora und Fauna. Und Sie sind nur wenige Minuten entfernt von Annehmlichkeiten des 21. Jahrhunderts, wie Walmart, Harrah's Cherokee Casino und lokalen Handwerkern.

In der Kabine finden Sie alle Geräte aus Edelstahl, Flachbild-TV, Blu-ray / DVD-Player. (Der Fernseher kann nur zum Abspielen von DVDs verwendet werden). Das Blockhaus verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer und ein Gemeinschaftsbad mit einer Badewanne. Jedes Zimmer verfügt über Holzwände und Holzböden. In der Küche gibt es einen großen Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Backofen, Herd, Mikrowelle, Topftopf, Fritteuse und viele nützliche Kochutensilien. Die Kabine eignet sich perfekt für kleine Familienfeiern oder romantische Kurzurlaube. Trennen Sie sich von der hektischen Welt und genießen Sie die Ruhe der Natur.

Feuern Sie den Grill auf der riesigen Veranda an, während Sie auf die herrlichen Waldlandschaften blicken. Verbringen Sie einen entspannten Abend beim Abendessen oder einen Wein vor dem Kamin.

Naturfreunde können ihren Urlaub mit Wanderungen und Erkundung der Klippen, Wanderwege und der umliegenden Tierwelt verbringen. Gehen Sie Wildwasser-Rafting oder angeln Sie entlang der alten Holzfällerstraßen am Haus. Wenn Sie zurückkommen, wird der Komfort von zu Hause auf Sie warten.

Es gibt einen Walmart in der Stadt Sylva ein paar Meilen östlich, sowie Handwerks- und Antiquitätenläden in der Nähe von Dillsboro. Im Westen, in der Nähe von Franklin, finden Sie das Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Besuchen Sie eine echte Edelsteinmine, wie Mason's, im Cowee Valley. Versuchen Sie Rafting in Nantahala, oder fahren Sie über den Berg nach Gaitlinburg und Pigeon Forge, wo Sie reiten können. Vielleicht möchten Sie in Cataloochee Skifahren, je nach Jahreszeit, natürlich! Wenn Sie die Innenstadt von Sylva durchqueren, kommen Sie auf der rechten Seite auf den Markt, wo Sie frisch gelegte Eier, Obst und Gemüse aller Art sowie Marmeladen und Gelees kaufen können. Probieren Sie das Ruth Chris Steak House im Harrah's, das Buffet im Casino oder eine Reihe anderer guter Restaurants.

Comfortable and relaxing

Comfortable on the property despite being “alone” in the woods. House was tidy, organized, and appeared well-kept. A couple of small issues I reported via email with prompt responses. Our stay was too short- we didn’t want to leave!

Remote and quiet

Overall nice place, cabin was very clean and roomie, view very good. Cabin well decorated and stocked, we did some cooking while there, and the outside fire pit great on cooler nights. The driveway/road to get to the property was fairly steep and some sharp turns I would suggest a truck and can be made in 2WD however wouldn't want to try it in a low car. My complaint was the porch gas tabletop fire would not stay lit, found and followed instructions, but would not stay lit, yes the gas bottle was full. all in all we woulld come back.

Very unclean

Well, the property owners never sent the keys to open the property until the very last minute. I normally get an email that says “here are the keys to your rental”. Also, there were lots of cobwebs/spiders and pubic hair on toilet rim. In addition, the hot tub never heated!!!!

Sarah, your accusations are outrageous and absolute lies not to mention you have brought an unauthorized pet and did not pay the fee and did Not provide proof of vet docs and conveniently disregarded our numerous messages about it also RIGHT AFTER CHECK IN 1. you have violated our rules on pet policy and we have reported you to Vrbo 2. we sent you self-check-in instructions in advance, and you said you no longer have access to that email; therefore, we resent it to you 2 times after that. we also reached you several times, and you only responded to us 1 hour before check-in. 3. A few hours before your arrival, our team provided a detailed report and proof/pictures of all areas of our precheck. 4. Also, we have proof that the spa is working, and if you failed to read the manual/instructions, how can it be our fault? Also, the easy dashboard, which has only three buttons, is pretty self-explanatory. You could have reached out to us for assistance and guidance.

Neat place

We throughly enjoyed our stay, with one exception. The owner was literal on top of us the whole time. He’s building a tree house at the back corner of the house and did construction starting as early as 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 the entire 4 day stay 30 ish feet above the bedrooms! I’m sure it will be outstanding once done, however, we felt like we were being watched the entire time, and, he lives directly below this house a hundred feet away, with cameras everywhere! Would we go back, most likely after it’s all finished. Only letting folks know what to expect should they want to go over the next few weeks or months.

Bear With Us rental in Whittier, NC

We stayed here for 5 nights while we hiked in Smoky Mt. Park. The house is clean, nicely furnished, well stocked, and has a beautiful view of the mountains. It is conveniently located to the park and Bryson City. The main issue is the steep, gravel road and main driveway. Our 2018 Honda CRV could not get up the main driveway after multiple attempts due to it's steepness and a large tree root that goes across the driveway. All that's needed is to add the house number to the white sign that is to the left of the large bear statue, this leads to a separate, less steep entrance. We finally found this on the instruction sheet, but the overall directions were confusing. The instructions state that the key is located in the lock box near the French doors. The code was for the front door with no key needed. Once these 2 points are cleared up, this is a nice place for a getaway with a wonderful mountain view.

This secluded cabin is located obviously in the mountains, therefore a steep and gravel road can be part of the journey. However, the road to the cabin is paved, to provide our guests with good and stress-free driving experience to it. However with all the due respect we want to mention that our check in instructions are very described in every details. And if you would read it carefully you would find all the necessary information. First, this listing should warning saying that you must have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to it. I am an experienced off road Jeeper. But I was driving my fathers new Buick Enclave. Thankfully it had all wheel drive. The road the road to the cabin is very narrow and steep. There are two ways to get there. On one path I got stuck 3 times and slid backwards with tires skidding. The other path is barely better. If it was raining there is no way I could have gotten that Buick up the mountain. Even the person in the cabin next door with a full size F150 had to engage 4x4 on the steep sections. Also if you have a full size pick up you will scratch the paint on bushes sticking out from the sides of the narrow path. Also, there is a burned out camper/meth lab on the road near the cabin. The cabin was only minimally cleaned and in relative disrepair. The floors were gritty and we found dog fur and someone else's hair ties on the floor. The couch was covered in dirt. The shower had left over hair products inside. The toilet takes 20+ minutes to refill after a flush. The shower drains so slowly that you end up standing shin deep in dirty water after a 10 minute shower. There were boards falling off the walls of the inside of the cabin. There were exposed electrical outlets. The sink and coffee maker with filthy. Nats flew out of the inside of the microwave. Cobwebs and bugs were everywhere inside the cabin. And its a shame because the cabin was cute and could be really nice.
This is above one of the beds. That board is just waiting to fall on someone.

Great View

Cabin is contemporary, safe, and has a fantastic view. Internet is minimal but the owner made that clear in the listing. Verizon gets great reception (T-Mobile not so much) there so maybe get a hotspot if necessary (unlimited for $50/mo). The only risk seems to be the road if there is inclement weather. We were able to navigate it fine because we were careful (and it was dry) but there is a trench in the road (diagonally across) that could certainly cause problems. The rest of the road has obviously been taken care of; I suspect the trench just happened. There are neighbors (very quiet ones) so there's probably an easement agreement or something.

Great Stay by the Smoky Mountains

The cabin was clean and cozy and the views were beautiful! I stayed with my boyfriend and our dog. It was a great place to come back to after hiking in the parks all day. Playing bags, sitting by a fire, and watching the sunset was the perfect way to spend the evenings. The owners/rental company were super easy to work with as well. I recommend staying here!

Beautiful cabin

Wonderful cabin tucked away in the mountains. Very clean and has every thing you may need. Views are breathtaking. We loved our stay and highly recommend!

Comfortable 5 day stay

Exactly what we were looking for, secluded place with easy access to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The cabin is very comfortable with all the necessary amenities and a beautiful view. There's convenient access to the national park, Cherokee, Bryson City, and Dillsboro which has a Walmart. We loved the location. The road to the cabin is fine for regular cars (we drive a sedan). There's just one curve that is an incline, but it was never any trouble for us. As the description says, just drive slowly while off-road and plan to arrive during daylight for the first day so it's easy to find the way. The booking process was simple, and includes a contract. Check-in was a breeze, instructions were very clear. Cabin was very clean, all appliances were in good condition, heating and water pressure were great. The cabin has great amenities like the swing to watch the sunset from, fire pit, and deck with lots of furniture. The only minor issue we had was with the internet, no streaming possible, and we did try using our phones as hot spots but that didn't work well either. The internet worked fine for everything else, including backing up pictures and social media. Not a big deal as we weren't there to watch TV anyways, but be aware in case you need high speed internet for streaming video. We would definitely go back to this cabin and book through this service.

Great stay and well equipped kitchen

Very cute and clean. If you want to make a fire might want to bring a hatchet. Would not recommend a small car to go to the cabin in the winter time it can be done but 4x4 or suv would be better.

Great Getaway

We stayed at this wonderful cabin over Christmas and loved it! The owners had it decorated for Christmas inside and out! It was perfect! Views were amazing and communication was great! Only issue I would say was the drive up to the cabin. We arrived after dark and had trouble finding the cabin. Also, the drive up it was a bit steep. It snowed on Christmas Eve and had we not had a 4 wheel drive, we would not have made it up the mountain. Otherwise, it is an amazing and the small touches the owners added we noticed and appreciated!

Comfortable with a view

The cabin is very comfortable and has everything you would need. The location and view make it great! Communication with the management company is easy. They are responsive to all questions.

Cute cabin with mountain view

The cabin was cozy and nicely maintained. My family stayed for 5 nights during July and our children loved all of the bear themed furnishings in and around the cabin. Beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains from the porch and this cabin was in a private spot, not overlooked by the neighboring cabins. Cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The drive up to the cabin is a little nerve-wrecking at first, but we got used to it. The only downside we found to our stay was having to haul our own trash over to the recycling plant at the end of the stay. Driving 7 miles with the smell of trash in the car was not ideal.

However we need to mention that in our policy it is clearly stated that there is no trash pick up service and we ask our guests to bring it to the waste management station, which is located just a few min away. We are saddened to hear that you learned about it only during your stay but it was also mentioned in our description. We will be glad to accommodate you again really soon at dicounted rates!

BED BUGS

My husband and I stayed at this property over 4th of July week-end. It went from bad to worse..... The bed bugs by far the worst part. We both have several bites on us and they are Bed Bug bites for sure. When I informed the manager she said no one else have ever said that was problem and she would check with the cleaning crew. Not I am sorry - never heard from her again. Also the cameras are very creepy and make you think they have also hidden them inside the property. The locks and alarms and all the outdoor furniture is pad locked makes you feel that you are staying somewhere that is not safe. Needless to say we will not be back and will never get a VRBO with MNM company as the rental company. The instructions for the cabin are unlike anything I have ever seen for a VRBO and during the stay we received emails with "friendly reminders" with more rules to follow. Tonya who met us at the rental upon arrival was very nice.

Dear Jennifer, With all due respect Your review is absolutely has not basis not to mention you why are you lying ? We have been in communication with you on regular and timely basis. 1. Our team member was on site occasionally during your stay and YOU HAVE NOT COMPLAINED ABOUT ANYTHING AT ALL DURING YOUR STAY as a matter in fact you spoke to our team member and stated all is great. 2. We always pre-check the properties before accepting guests and make sure the place is clean, tidy and everything is functional at the cabin. And we are sure that there were no bugs in the cabin at all. We provide our guests with the self check in instructions prior to their arrival, that you unfortunately did not read up on departure where we have clear rules , (where they can find detailed information about the check in and check out process, some hints and rules of how to use the alarms and other facilities in the cabin.) 3. The cameras are disclosed for the purpose of security and there is no doubt that the place is safe, as all our guests enjoy their stay and appreciate our service, which proves all the good reviews on our listing. 4. We take those type of accusations very seriously and we absolutely DO NOT HAVE any BED BUGS! we use special mattress protectors, not to mention all is checked each time before each guest arrival. It is absolutely not possible that you were bitten by bed bugs only at last night of your stay. Bed bugs do not sit and wait for last day to bite you. Since you are aware cabin located in the woods and there are mosquitoes or noseems may be present outside depending on weather... 5.After you have checked out and wrote to us , we have immediately checked for bedbugs and found NONE and responded to you. Saying that we have not responded to you is a total lie. Not to mention we had next guests arrival who were staying for over 3 days and absolutely had no complaints about all above facts. 6. Your review is a clear defamation of our property and the company and we already contacted home-away and our attorneys, and make sure that they will mark you as a red flag. Seems to us that due to weather conditions you had change of plans, unfortunately we cannot be responsible for acts of god and will not tolerate bogus complaints and be defamed by you if something was not going for you as you have planned.
