Das Casita Uvita liegt nur 10 Gehminuten vom Nationalpark Playa Ballena (3.000 Colone Eintritt, ca. 6 USD / Tag), Strand, Geschäften und Restaurants sowie dem berühmten Whale's Tail entfernt. Verbringen Sie Ihre Tage mit Strandkämmen, Surfen und Sonnenbaden oder machen Sie eine Kajak-, Tauch- / Schnorchel- oder Wal- / Delfinbeobachtungstour mit einem unserer Reiseveranstalter.

Der große Pool- und Terrassenbereich ist von der Küche aus zugänglich und ALLE Zimmer haben Klimaanlage (Küche und alle drei Schlafzimmer)! Abspülen und in der Außendusche erfrischen. Unten teilen sich zwei private Schlafzimmer ein Badezimmer. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich ein großer offener Dachboden mit 2 Queensize-Betten, und das Haus bietet bequem Platz für 8 Personen. Die Gründe sind wunderschön mit allen Arten von duftenden tropischen Blumen und altem Baumbestand angelegt. Fahren Sie mit einem Allradfahrzeug auf dieses schöne Haus zu (es ist kein Allradfahrzeug erforderlich) und parken Sie es unter dem schattigen Carport.

Das nahe gelegene Uvita ist nur eine kurze Autofahrt oder Radtour entfernt und bietet zahlreiche Restaurants, Geschäfte, Lebensmittelgeschäfte, Banken und touristische Aktivitäten. Herrliche Strände säumen die Küste von Ballena. Für jedes Mitglied der Gruppe, ob jung oder alt, gibt es eine endlose Liste lustiger lokaler Aktivitäten! In der Nähe können Sie reiten, Vögel beobachten, angeln, surfen, Wale und Delfine beobachten, ATV-Touren unternehmen, Seilrutschen, Kajak fahren und ein Naturschutzgebiet besuchen. Mit einem Urlaub in der südlichen Zone kann man nichts falsch machen !!

This was a great location with eaay access to the beach with only a few minutes of walking. The host met us and showed us to the place and gave a nice walk through. They were easy to communicate with. The only bothersome part was when we asked for a later check out and they responded with "what time works for you" then proceeded to say we needed to stick with the original time since they had it rented again that night. If the management team knew that, why even ask about a time that worked for us. One suggestion would be larger beach towels. There were several kid sizes that where small for adults. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would recommend this place to other families.

Was a great place to stay in Uvita. Really close to the national park. Communication and check in was excellent and it was easy to set up activities through them. Fit all 7 of us comfortably and the grounds were so beautiful. It was fun to bird watch in the back patio area.

Wonderful Family Holiday

Thank you we had a wonderful time away. Costa Rica is filled with Adventure around every corner. Our stay was relaxing and we felt we had everything we needed at our finger tips. The garden and flowers which surround the home are incredible and very calming. The pool was always warm which meant the kids were in and out constantly. Very wonderful home, good communication from owner. Had it Envision week - closely located. Only complaints was the air condition was a bit loud and one broke mid week and the pool could have been tended a bit more. Highly recommend

Beautiful property close to everything

Wonderful property with amazing views and within walking distance to beaches restaurants and driving distance to banks and grocery stores. We loved the outdoor shower and had lots of night time critters. There are birds and lizards and frogs that visit everyday and wonderful sights close by. We had a wonderful time and Tom and Christine are helpful and accommodating we will be back and will recommend this place to our friends and family!

Private and tropical casita!

After a few days on the go, we were quite happy to arrive at Casita Uvita where we could relaxe, enjoy the beautiful tropical garden and spend hours listening to the birds singing. The kids loved the pool, which was more like a spa! With our 4x4, we could do daily excursions very close by and always be happy to come back to the comfort of the casita. Be advised that there is no indoor livingroom or indoor table to eat at...it's a real outdoor paradise to enjoy!

Beautiful Property

Our family enjoyed our stay here. We love this house. The property was beautifully landscaped, outdoor shower and the pool were an added bonus. We were able to see many different birds, lizards and butterflies that visited us each day. The property is secure and the neighborhood felt safe. We visited the Whale's Tale, went snorkeling (which was fantastic) and kayaked the mangroves. We could walk to plenty of restaurants and some shopping. The town of Uvita has a laid back atmosphere, not overcrowded and the beach has some of the best sunsets. We would highly recommend this rental.

Amazing place, great people, wonderful time

We just got back from a fabulous vacation at Casita Uvita. It's everything as described and more! For us the pool was definitely the highlight though the short trip to the beach was a close second. My son was really keen to try surfing and we found a place just down the road. Shout out to Uvita 360 - they were awesome! I tend to ask a LOT of questions and I always received a quick and helpful response! Thanks Tom and Ann Marie for your amazing help - couldn't have done it without you! I highly recommend this lovely villa - you won't be disappointed!!

Great Management; Lovely House

The house is lovely and clean; pool and gardens delightful; management company great; location very convenient to Whale's Tale Beach, restaurants, and town. Just two downsides: 1) no place to sit inside - three bedrooms and kitchen only 2) neighborhood is extremely noisy with two homes under construction during the day and very noisy neighbors at night. Dogs barking incessantly at all hours. Unfortunate because the back patio is a great place to spend the evening.

Wonderful home!

My family and I spent a week here over spring break, and it was wonderful! Tom and Christine were so great to work with and so friendly. They had multiple guests checking in for multiple properties at the same time and Tom's car broke down, yet they expertly managed to get everyone to their respective homes for the week and maintained a very "Pura Vida" attitude amongst the chaos! They were wonderful! The house itself was spotless and had all the amenities you could need. Pool was lovely. A/C worked great. It's close to the main part of town and does not have an ocean view, but the tropical backyard and the birds bathing in the pool made up for the lack of view. :) We highly recommend and would stay here again!

Great Family Holiday Spot

We had a wonderful week at Casita Uvita! The host, Tom, was very helpful in getting us settled. The best part was when we saw some monkeys one day in the trees by the pool! The back yard was a real oasis with some interesting birds and the amazing pool. We enjoyed the beautiful beach at Marino Ballena National Park in Uvita (we spotted a sloth in a tree near the entrance), the Uvita Waterfalls and butterfly garden, and it was a good area jump off to other destinations: Osa/Sierpe (ziplining and mangrove boat tour), Alturas Wildlife Rescue Centre, and Manuel Antonio National Park. The patio by the pool did get a little buggy in the evening. The kids loved seeing 3 big toads and the little gecko lizards that come out at night. We enjoyed using the new barbecue to make some dinners. The house was very clean and well equipped. We really appreciated the air conditioning and fans. We were 4 adults and 4 kids aged 7-12 (2 families from Canada) sharing the space. Thank you for a wonderful holiday that we will always remember!

As Advertised: excellent!

Travel in August at Uvita was wonderful. Sunny most of the day, then rain in the evening. Tom was prompt at check-in and check-out and pleasant. We used their services and trusted in them completely as the reviews were excellent. Catered dinner on the covered porch one night after a sunny day at the beach and it thunderstormed which gave an amazing ambiance. Kids went whale watching, took surfing lessons, jet skiing and waterfall exploring (and diving). The house was very clean and the AC was perfect. And lastly, their exit instructions were the best: basically don't do anything. No need to strip beds or throw out excess food. We had a spectacular time and recommend this home and Uvita.

Our little piece of heaven in Uvita - So close to Whale's Tail

Six of us stayed in this home for 5 days, it's so convenient to everything you'd want to do: the beach, the national park, nice restaurants, horse back riding, snorkeling....we did everything and still have a lot of time enjoying the pool, the kids were crazy about the nature and all the birds they saw. I thought one bathroom would be a little inconvenient, but the outdoor shower and washroom made it super easy, the kids would fight who got to shower outdoors. Driving: You do need a 4-wheel drive car if you'd like to explore, we went to a few very nice restaurants and they were all high up on the top of the mountains, the drive was not easy but the view was more than worth it. Bugs: we had no issue with them, I was prepared with all the sprays, but at this season mosquitos were moderate to none, at least they didn't bother us. Love our experience here and a few friends already asked me about this home:))

Casita Uvita Vacation

We recently returned from our Costa Rica vacation where we spent 4 days at Casita Uvita. This was a perfect piece of paradise to spend a few days at the end of our road trip. We’re a family of four with two young kids (2 and 5) and this property was wonderful for us. Very private on a quiet street about a 10 min walk to the national park entrance (maybe longer if you’re walking with two kids - but doable!). The gardens and greenery around the property make it feel like you’re right in the rainforest - we seen so many beautiful birds while sitting at the pool area. Everything you need is available at the casita, the kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean and comfortable. As some people mentioned in previous reviews, there is no indoor seating area or tv but we never once missed it as the outdoor space is so beautiful at all times of day - rain or shine. Communication prior to and while there was super easy with Tom and Christine and they were both kind and helpful with any questions we had about the casita or the surrounding area. Check in and check out couldn’t have been more smooth. If you’re looking for a little piece of paradise in the Uvita area, this is it.

Amazing house and location

We had a fantastic stay at Casita Uvita. The house was the perfect size for my family of 4 and in-laws. It is a beautiful home - spacious and clean. I felt the pictures didn't do the house justice! We LOVED the location of the pool and we spent a good chunk of the day swimming. The house even had a couple pool toys, which was bonus for our kids! It is in a very secluded location, so we had a lot of privacy. We loved the fact that we could walk to Marina Ballena National Park, and my son and I even found scarlet macaws there a couple days. We even got to watch a group of about 15 of them eating almonds! We also loved Playa Hermosa and Playa Ventanas. I highly recommend visiting the Saturday market. There is an friendly ex-pat who sells doughnuts that are amazing! We even drove back the next week from Quepos to get them again! We found the house had everything we needed. We loved the pantry to store all of our food! The airconditioning in the house was welcome after almost 3 weeks in Costa Rica with none:-) Tom and Christine are fabulous to deal with. They were extremely prompt in responding to a couple issues we had in the house and very friendly. We hope to rent with them in the future! All in all, we HIGHLY recommend this house - it's fantastic in every way!

Tom, a Florida native, and Christine who has lived in over 20 countries and US states, fell in love with Costa Rica’s Southern Zone, where lush rainforest mountains meet the Pacific Ocean.
