Thank you for your review Maree, it is very much appreciated. So pleased you found the cottage quaint and elegant. Each year our aim is to improve. This year after the flood damage we are concentrating our efforts on the creek area. (The view from the rear of the cottages which will improve the vista immensely.) It will also be a new additional feature to Foxglove gardens, as previously it was inaccessible and overgrown. As you say, being winter this is the time the leaves fall and the trees are left bare. Some love meandering through a carpet of leaves, others prefer the neat and tidy look. My prefered time to visit the garden and when they are looking their absolute best is at the end of September, beginning of October, so would love to see you back then. The Willow house overlooking the pond (the function building which is closed at present) is being given a new lease of life, (already underway) and we are very pleased with the look so far and are excited and look forward to seeing the end results. The ruins in the pond is also an area we are working on. We hope to see a bridge and the moat completed in the not too distant future. Having such great shops so close, is a God send. The french cafe La Galette for us, a two minutes walk makes it to tempting to resist a quick cup of coffee and cake. And for the guests, breakfast if in house dining is not prefered. We have heard nothing but glowing reports about the Dromedary hotel with live music and fantastic food. It makes for a perfect lunches and evening venue. The specialty boutique shops as you say, are so easy to indulge. The beaches being a few minutes away, also perfect to add to the holiday experience. We love the challenge at Foxglove gardens and the results we see each year and feel very fortunate to be here. Once again thank you for your review and hope to see you again soon.

Hi Michael, Would appreciate a little more information regarding your comment "Adequate." First time we have had that type of review!!!! What were you expecting, something a little less luxurious that you didn't have to worry about you dog making a mess? You were given a cottage not normally allowed for pets. We specify pets are to be well trained and not allowed on furniture. The sheets were left filthy from it being allowed to jump on the bed. It really makes us wonder whether we should allow pets in the future when that sort of thing happens.

We were so pleased we could accommodate you Lesley. It could have been rather difficult as we only have one pet friendly cottage and didn't realise you were bringing yours. So sorry you weren't aware there is no TV reception anywhere on the property, but we feel a small price to pay to spend your time in paradise. Thank goodness you had the internet, that never used to be the case. And very pleased you thought the shower was good and the bed comfortable.
