Excellent stay

Good clean property. Service was excellent. Did have a lil trouble with door lock, may just need some lubricant due to salt weather. Our stay was excellent. Recommend to anyone looking for a clean place to stay.

There were 3 adults, and we all felt it was large enough and comfortable. The condo was clean and the ac ran nice and cold. Close to beach but not very sanitary

We loved the location and how close it is to the beach. However, many dishes had been put away dirty. There was silverware that was clearly dirty and a pitcher that was sticky and also completely unwashed. The dirty dishes probably caused the roaches. It was otherwise clean if a bit shabby.

Awesome and responsive staff, not great amenities

The staff at Port A escapes were great. When we arrived at our unit, our keys did not work. After hours maintenance arrived in less than 30 minutes with a new key. They unit itself was very clean, though we did see 3-4 roaches during our stay, including one in our bed. The water in the shower was lukewarm at best, and the water pressure was sub-par.

Disappointed

The ac wasn’t working very well. Very humid the whole time and didn’t cool down at all. Found roaches through the condo both live and dead. Did not stay the second night. Hopefully get some type of refund for the poor experience.

Great property and location

The property and location were well maintained. The only issue we had was that when we woke up and made breakfast when I grabbed the plates to serve my family I noticed all the plates were very dirty. I notified the management and washed the dishes in the dishwasher. But that probably was my only disappointment. I’d say just check or maybe wash what you may use before using it. And there was only a small thing I could use as a broom. It would be a good idea to have a broom due to the amount of sand you my bring in from the beach. There is a wash station right outside the back door which was useful. We rented a cart and there was a cart rental parking so it worked out well.

Overall, a pretty good stay.... but probably wouldn’t return.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The best thing about this condo was the location, just a short walk to the boardwalk with direct access to the beach. Pool was also very nice and clean. There was a mildewy smell in the unit that I traced back to a pillow in the closet that needed to be thrown out. I would have liked to have seen a few ceiling tiles replaced (looked dirty/mildewy) and some new sets of shades. I understand the property probably suffered a bit of damage from Hurricane Harvey. The company did text us hours before the expected check-in time to say the unit was ready - which meant more time at the beach, so that was great news! Upon check-out, however, we were dinged with some extra housekeeping fees - but we explained to the manager that the 2 handouts we were given had inconsistent instructions regarding trash, and he kindly reimbursed us the extra fees). Also, a few bug run-ins (roach/spider), but I guess that’s hard to avoid when you’re in that kind of wet coastal environment.
