Thank you for this thorough and detailed review….greatly appreciated. And I’m glad you point out the 6 car limit. Something I clearly state in the description of the property which is why I encourage folks to read this information before you arrive.

They be clear the 6 car rule is not one I created. Kennebunkport has Short Term Rental rules which I need to follow to keep my license to rent. We always leave the house very clean as noted by the guest. We provide kitchen dish soap, special cleaning tools and cleaning products for the glass cooktop, new wrapped sponge, Laundry supplies, kitchen towels and mitts , vacuum cleaner in upstairs closet. Tenant complained that she couldn’t find it because it wasn’t in the kitchen. There is no closet in kitchen that would hold a vacuum or broom etc. l have been a host for over 20 years and no one has ever complained about the lack of cleaning supplies. As for smoke detector alarm going off…this is not unusual as we are next to the ocean and had significant humidity that night. When we came over with batteries and asked which one alarmed none of the tenants knew. It ended up being the one in the utility room behind the house, not in the house. As for parking, it is very easy to fit the 7 cars up the long private road going to the house. It is very simple and there is even a diagram in the front entry of the house. Tenant made a great suggestion—have someone in your group read the information from the Welcome package before you arrive. It is only a few pages but it gives you everything you need to know about the house before you arrive.

Thank you for staying with us and being great guests! You make a point that helps me explain this to others and I appreciate that. It is very important that GUESTS and especially potential guests read the House Rules and other info on VRBO site before you book or at least before you arrive. Part of this includes the Parking RULES which are on the site!! In addition to numbers of vehicles (6) there is a requirement that the private road not be blocked so to prevent a potential emergency requiring an emergency vehicle to approach the house. Six is quite a few vehicles on property. If you need more than 6 vehicles, there are other options as explained on VRBO and as explained on VRBO site! Thank you for planning ahead!
