ÜBER DIE UMGEBUNG

Etwas östlich von Tahoe City am wunderschönen Nordufer von Lake Tahoe liegt eines der begehrtesten Viertel der Region - Dollar Point. Die gesamte Gemeinde liegt an der Seeseite der Hauptstraße und ist somit der perfekte Ort fĂŒr einen ruhigen und erholsamen Kurzurlaub. Mit einer Reihe von HĂ€usern in unserem Portfolio, die nur einen kurzen Spaziergang voneinander entfernt sind, ist dies der perfekte Ort fĂŒr einen Mehrfamilienurlaub. Und, oh, die Ausstattung!

Im Sommer ist Dollar Point wirklich unschlagbar. Es ist eine der wenigen Gemeinden an der NordkĂŒste, die Zugang zu einem Swimmingpool und einem privaten Sandstrand bietet, die beide weniger als 1,6 km von jedem Haus in der Gemeinde entfernt sind. Our entire family stayed there over New Years to ski and we loved the house. It was perfect for us and our three adult kids, they liked having their own bathroom. We loved the hot tub and amenities! Could use more wine glasses though ;-). We brought our own detergent and paper towels. Can't wait to return!

Great place in Tahoe City

This home was perfect for my family during Christmas time. Enough space for my family, parents and sister and brother in law. Although we didn't get to ski due to the weather, we were still 20 mins away from Northstar and under 10 minutes from Tahoe City Safeway, cvs and restaurants. 20 minute walk to park and beach. Backyard was perfect for my girls who enjoyed making snowman's in the snow. The kitchen was fully equipped with all utensils for cooking and baking. Super comfortable home and great property manager. Thanks.

Great stay at super comfortable house and very convenient for our family including the dog. Living space was very comfortable and bed and bath configuration gave us many options for our family. Fenced in yard was great for the dog as was the location and easy walk to the lake. Check in and check out was very easy.

Excellent Stay

Our stay here was fantastic! Aside from not having any kitchen towels, a vacuum or broom that we could find, or a steel brush to clean the grill (all easy fixes), everything we hoped for was provided. We loved the well stocked kitchen and the gas stove. The refrigerator was large and there was ample cupboard space for us to store the food we brought for a party of 9. The living room had a cozy gas fireplace and a comfortable couch that easily sat us all. It had an ottoman big enough for us to put a game board on and small enough for us to sit around and play. The dining table was large enough to fit us all. The backyard was restful and the hot tub was great. Perhaps one of the things we liked most was how every bedroom had its own bathroom. A few other things we enjoyed were the washer and dryer, the nice neighborhood and the overall pleasant feeling and layout of the house. People were able to sleep comfortably in the bedrooms even if some of us were playing games (not necessarily quietly) in the common space. The location is also a plus. We enjoy hiking and biking and Dollar Creek Trail is literally 3 minutes away across the main street. The main street also has a paved bike trail that parallels it. And, it is an easy, short drive to Commons Beach. The last thing we'd like to mention is that we appreciated how professional and courteous the Tahoe Getaways staff was. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Milestone birthday gathering

We enjoyed the Dollar Point house greatly. We were celebrating a friends birthday who lives in Dollar Point. We were able to stay on Mammoth and walk to our friends house for festivities. It was ideal. The living room couch is very comfortable and the hot tub was lovely.

Delightful Thanksgiving!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfectly located at Dollar Point! We loved the backyard for the kids and my mom's dogs. The hot tub was very welcomed after a day at Northstar! The property management team was just fantastic on communication and help! (especially on the eve of Thanksgiving). Only suggestion would be to add more kitchen towels and maybe a few more potholders! We did cook alot as it was a holiday. Great stay! Will book again if available! Thank you!

Nice property and location

Very clean and great neighborhood. The kitchen supplies were slim and a lot of the things need to be thrown away. The furniture on the deck was broken and someone could be hurt. Some beds were comfortable and some not. It worked out nicely for a family trip.

Great Stay for a Relaxing and Fun Ski Trip w/ Friends

We booked this house primarily for the beds and everyone was able to stay and sleep comfortably in their own bed. The kitchen was well stocked and had a cast iron skillet in great condition. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a long day skiing and we enjoyed playing card games in the living room. There was ample parking for everyone in the garage/driveway as well.

Thank you for a great stay! We enjoyed the house and was a good size for our group of 8 people. It would have been better if the amenities were in better shape: - hot tub jets - had a hard time getting it to work properly - one of the shovels were broken, in case we needed it for the house - not having soap was a surprise (apologies if I missed the memo earlier) - would have been great if we could have connected to the audio system with our phones. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

Less than ideal

The property was poorly maintained, the cleaning service was terrible and left limited towels for our family and the washing machine was broken, so we couldn't do laundry to clean the limited towels we had. When we called the property manager (Tahoe Getaways) to address the issues, they told us to use the bath mats (not actual towels) in a black trash bag located in a cubby hole I had to crawl into to retrieve. And they never fixed the washing machine and only offered us $150 back (after we spent over $8k) but we had to sign a waiver of all our rights. On top of it all, there was water running through the walls of the house. We told the property manager to alert the owners ASAP. I highly doubt they did.

Subpar Experience

The house is decent but our experience did not live up to expectations, for the following reasons: 1. Half of the towels were very dirty and old (with blue stains and very worn out), and the house did not even have extras. Any house that comes with a hot tub (which was nice) should have extra towels. 2. The kitchen is not very well-equipped. The kitchenware (e.g., utensils, plates, etc.) was not clean - there was a spatula that still had leftover food on it. There were also no extra trash bags in the house so we had to ask for more. 3. We could barely fit our trash in the trash bin outside because a bunch of trash bags from the previous guests were not taken out yet.

Great stay in Dollar Point!

The property is accurately represented in listing. It was really nice that each room had its own en suite bathroom. Location was perfect! Walking distance to the lake, 5 minutes to the closest grocery store, so close to Tahoe City, and perfectly located between multiple ski resorts allowing for our group to pick and choose where they wanted to ski. The living room/kitchen area was perfect for our group too. The only reason I gave the property 4 stars was because the hot tub didn't really get hot so we were unable to use it during our stay. The property management company was very responsive when we reached out about the hot tub which was really appreciated but unfortunately even after someone came to look at it, it still wasn't functioning as desired. Besides the hot tub, the rental was great!

Holiday Retreat

Had a great family Christmas experience at this VRBO. Plenty of space for cooking, playing games, and just hanging out during the huge snow storm going on outside! The owners weee kind enough to allow us to stay an extra night due to road closings.

Great location - nice property - plenty of space. Didn't realize no A/C which was our fault and had to have windows closed due to fires so a little uncomfortable. Normal conditions it would not have mattered. Love Dollar Point!

Nice home fallen in disrepair🧐😖

I rented this house for my mother’s 83rd birthday and she left after two nights because the place was so disgusting. Dirty old sheets, pillows with blood stains, uncomfortable beds, poor linens, cobwebs everywhere! The air filter had not been changed for so long in the HVAC system that the filter was partially sucked into the return air, filtering nothing! This is a house that has fallen on hard times! Disappointing to pay so much for a house that is literally a dumping ground for all of someone’s old stuff! Greedy is the only word I can come up with! We rented several houses in this community with other families the same week, we paid the most and our house was the least maintained, with the poorest amenities. We have pictures just ask! Stay far away from this one!

Nice Place

We stayed here from Thursday to Sunday for a long weekend to enjoy a couple days of skiing and take advantage of a cute place with a hot tub! Overall, the place was fine- clean and spacious. The kitchen had all of the cookware you need to make your meals and the fireplace was wonderful! That being said, we were a little disappointed in a few things. Quiet hours start at 8PM which seemed very early on the weekends. After talking to the property management company, we found out this is because this is dictated by the HOA, so while the county’s guidelines are that quiet hours start at 10, the HOA for this neighborhood has a much earlier time. We understand this can’t be changed but just weren’t expecting to have to be inside that early on the weekends. The hot tub stopped working for us the first night we got in it. The property management company was great and a really nice woman from the company came over within an hour to look at it and explained that we just needed to reset the breaker. We did that and it worked for a short period of time before shutting down again. After multiple attempts to restart the breaker, we gave up as the temperature was at 86 and not getting warmer. We attempted again the next day but had no luck. The wifi was very weak which was a struggle for us as there a few of us were trying to work remotely one day and the signal was not strong enough to take any calls from our computers. The dryer was broken which we didn’t realize until doing one load of laundry that remained wet. And the microwave didn’t work, however we then realized that there was another microwave in the kitchen- just no direction as to which one we should be using or that one was broken. All in all- we enjoyed staying here and the place was just fine. It just seemed like it could use some fairly simple upgrades to make for a better experience.
