Sun Peaks getaway

This condo worked well for our family getaway - the owners were fantastic in communicating with us. We are still waiting for the damage deposit to be returned - but that is a vrbo issue, not the owners. Great location and great place to visit for a family getaway

Thanks Don. Glad you enjoyed your time at Sun Peaks. I believe VRBO has now changed the policy regarding damage deposits and will no longer take a deposit. They will keep the visa used for the booking on file and charge back if there is damage. This should be better for everyone.

Family get away

Surrounded by snow banks, the hot top was fantastic. Such a short walk to the village too. We were lucky to have 53cms fall just before and during our stay. One of the best stocked kitchens we been in as well. Can’t wait to book again

The host was welcoming and informative prior to our stay. The amenities weren’t quite as pictured and felt very “tired”. Example: We moved around the coffee table like it was a ticking time bomb. With even a brush into it and the thing would shake at all joints. The hot tub was very nice and clean after a long day of skiing and playing in the snow. The cover is definitely a two person lift, weight and hinge. I have a hard time sleeping in most VRBO or hotel beds, but these were definitely amongst the most uncomfortable. My kids who would sleep on the floor at friend’s houses even shared the same sentiment about them. All in all we had a great time at such a great, family friendly mountain. Not an ounce of fresh snow went untouched out the back of the condo. This was our second year in a row at Sun Peaks and we look forward to another trip here in the very near future. Thank you for your feedback. We value our guests opinions and want to ensure everyone has a comfortable stay. Regarding the beds, we have not had similar complaints from other guests, and we personally find them quite comfortable, as do our family, children included. We do understand that comfort is subjective and we shall keep your comments in mind moving forward. As for the coffee table, I agree it was a little wobbly when we had our family of 8 at the condo, along with 2 dogs, but we did not have an issue with stability. We had books, helmets, cups and more on it and it was fine for us. We will certainly have it inspected to ensure everything is safe for future guests. Yes, the hot tub cover is heavy, that is why we recommend two people open and close it. It would be great if we could dry it out, however, that is not possible at this time. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay, and we love that you and your family conquered any fresh snow that fell. Sun Peaks is an absolutely lovely mountain, we hope you and your family visit this area again. Sincerely, Nici and Peter

Loved our stay here. Extended family -- everyone was happy with the place. Small but extremely well-provisioned kitchen. Appreciated all the games and puzzles. We will come back ... but we may bring foam mattress toppers as the beds are very firm. 🤗

Cozy Family Retreat!

We had a great time at this property. It was roomy enough for our 8-person family (7 adults and 1 child) and had all of the basic amenities (full kitchen, 2 full bedrooms plus a upper room with 4 bunks, bbq, hot tub, laundry, and storage). Peter and Nici were great hosts and provided us with all of the necessary information to make our stay go as smoothly as possible. A bonus is that we could ski in (Rambler to the Morrisey Connector) and ski out (short kicker to the Orient Chair). And, Sun Peaks is such a great family mountain with lots of terraine to satisfy all levels of skiers. What a way to start the holidays!

Great Family Ski Vacation

This property worked very well for us. My son, two grandchildren (14,15) and I had great skiing week. We cooked, including BBQ all our meals. The kitchen is well stocked including a slow cooker which was great. It is just a short walk to the village and the hot tub was very good. Communication with Nici was excellent. We had no issues while we were there. It was wonderfully quiet at night. Im hoping to come back next year!

Well Maintained Townhouse

The place is very well-maintained. The host and property manager are quite responsive and very helpful. We were quite happy with our stay here. Thank you Nici & Peter. A couple of things of note is that it's not a "ski-in ski-out" property. It is just a short 5 min walk to a Orient ski hill run however. Also remember to bring your own shampoo & conditioner as none was provided.

We are pleased that you had a good stay at our condo in Sun Peaks. Yes, it is a short walk, I shall make note of that. I shall mention to guests that shampoo and conditioner are not provided. We do find most guests are very particular about the hair products they use so we have never provided that. Hopefully you shall come back to Sun Peaks for some more great skiing!!

Great location, walking distance to everything. It was perfect for our families

Our two families (4 adults, 4 teens) stayed at Nici’s place over New Years. The living area is cozy, but sufficient for us and not problem for all 8 of us to sit at the dinner table. The kids enjoyed the bunk room on the top floor. Just a short stroll to the village and we managed to find paths just across the street to ski to the village lifts and ski back. Also just short walk to the Morrisey chair and we also took the free shuttle once too. The kitchen is fully loaded and we appreciated the extras like Saran Wrap and parchment paper. Nici and Peter were very responsive to our questions. We all loved the large hot tub, the heated tile floors and the great view of the ski hill. We will return again!

Great Winter Ski Holiday with fresh snow every day

We were lucky to experience fresh snow 3-5cm every day and 10cm on our last full day of skiing!Property had a few minor issues but may have been user errors: Fireplace stopped working after 4 days of heavy usage. Hot Tub Jets and Heat controls difficult to master. BBQ Grill did not function. Dining table and one chair were wobbly. Back door code not valid/unable to unlock from outside. On the positive side; the unit had a very well stocked kitchen and was used heavily as our group cooked all our meals in the unit. The unit was clean. Parking garage easily accessed via covered walkway and two reserved parking spots were very much appreciated plus the visitor spots outside the garage entrance. Heated radiant floors very nice and ski locker outside front door very convenient. Will definitely return again!

Your group was so lucky to have fresh snow everyday!! Thank you for your information. We were glad that our unit, for the most part, worked very well for you all. We like to encourage our guests to contact us, while they are there, if something is not working as it should. We would've been able to have someone come to check out the fireplace, the hot tub and definitely the lock on the door(the lock is truly an easy fix). When we are advised after the fact it is impossible for us to correct the problem to make it better for your stay. We apologize for the barbecue, we were able to use if for the month of January, we shall have to replace that. The table and chairs we shall look into. Hope to see you at Sun Peaks in the future!! We Will Retirn

Great accommodations. We were so impressed with the home and layout. So close to the main village and summer lift areas. This is a rental we would definitely book again in summer or winter. Thank you to the owners for being so accommodating and on the ball. We highly recommend staying here!

Great place to stay, although a few minor things could be improved: -hot tub temperature was at 108°, way too hot, even though thermostat was lower -no hand soap in any of the bathrooms -addition of fans for use of facility in summer is highly recommended

Thank you for your review, we apologize for such a late response. We apologize for the high hot temperature in the hot tub, yes, that is much too high and should not happen. If notified we would be able to rectify that right away, or a contact with our Property Manager would solve that problem. Hand soap is to be supplied, we apologize for that error also. Our condo is now equipped with soap in the bathrooms. The summer can be quite warm and fans would be a good idea. Thank you for the suggestions!!

Well equipped home close to all amenities!

This was an ideal accommodation for our family (parents and adult children). The home was spacious, well-maintained, and fully equipped with cooking and laundry facilities. It was a short walk to the village. Lots of room for our family. We look forward to a return visit.
