Location and view can’t be beat!

This condo suited our needs perfectly. I traveled with my husband, 7 and 11 year old kids and 70 year old mother and it was perfect for us. The washer and dryer work and come in handy! Beach supplies are all very well stocked- beach umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, goggles, toys- everything! The view is breathtaking and was by far my favorite part of waking up each day. We loved having coffee and breakfast on the patio. The cons, were very few but annoying. The refrigerator kept shocking us every time we’d touch it. The toilet broke and needed a new part to work again (which was not replaced during our stay). The air conditioners are loud and turn off and back on every few minutes. The road noise can be disturbing, but the a/c drowns most of that out. There is a hallway light between the two rooms that is motion activated. When anyone is up it turns on, which then wakes other people up. There aren’t glass panes in the windows and I think that was the cause of a couple of critters sneaking in. We had a lizard on the bed, a roach in the shower and in the kitchen. The decor could use some updating- the 5’ tall samurai at the entry scared our kids. Overall, I would stay at this condo again due to the location and view! I just wanted to share our experience in full. Thanks for a great week!

Beauty on the Beach

Had a much needed vacation in my favorite place enjoying the beauty that is Maui. This was the perfect place to stay for my son and I. It was clean, quiet and had a beautiful view from the spacious lanai. The location was in walking distance of dining, shopping and the beach. Will definitely stay there again.

Amazing ocean views and great location. The unit however could use some updating as the cabinets are old with nice granite countertops. There is an annoying automatic,ight that is motion detection in the entryway and in our opinion should be removed. There is no shampoo in the unit and the couch is very creaky when you sit down. Road noise is an issue on some days, and if someone is staying above it is very loud foot sounds.

Noise !!

The unit is great, only downside. One of the rooms was facing the street and the noise was really uncomfortable ! Really hard to get a good night sleep with that noise. It’s unfortunate cause the location is actually great with a fantastic view of the the ocean.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was beautiful and quiet. Overall, the unit was a nice place for our vacation. There were 5 of us. Having stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani back in 2018, we chose Wailea for its beauty and location. However, we wanted to note some improvements to the unit that would have made the trip more comfortable and special. The pros: The view from the unit was beautiful. The pool was nice and warm. The property of Ekolu was clean and beautifully landscaped. The unit had all the necessities we needed for our weeklong stay. The AC units were working properly and much needed. The cons: the beds were not comfortable. The king bed had big dips when laying down, so our backs were not happy. The twin beds in the second bedroom were noisy and hard. Having our 81yr old mom with us on the trip, we cooked dinner every night. The knives were not sharp. The freezer door did not close all the way at times, so we had ice cream melt while out all day. The sofa was not very comfortable for sitting, too stiff and noisy when changing sitting positions. We used the sofa bed and that was not very comfortable as well. The rug was a jute rug and therefore, it was not very comfortable to walk on. It was rough in texture and not ideal for sitting or walking on. We had an incident where the sliding bathroom door accidently locked and we could not open it from the outside. We had to call the property management office and have someone come into the unit to unlock the door for us. They were helpful and quick but still the door should be fixed so it doesn't happen to future renters.

Enjoyed the provided beach chairs, beach towels and toys. Hotel pool was also nice and a short walk from the rental. Everything was as described. We cooked breakfast and a couple of dinners in the kitchen, which was fine. We had enough dishes, pots and pans for a family of six. I did wash some of the dishes before I used them just because they seemed to have sat in the cupboard unused, but not dirty. The nonstick fry pan could be replaced and some of the beach towels. Used the washer and dryer units, too. Everything worked well. We didn't use the AC. The weather was so nice during our stay, just having the fans on was lovely. The front door was tricky to open and my son who arrived earlier than the rest of the group, couldn't get it to open. It was after office hours so there was no one to reach with issues. He walked to the pizza place and when he came back later was able to open the door. Otherwise, check-in was very easy. I appreciated the email with clear instructions prior to our arrival. Rental was easy to find. Walked to the shops. The beach is a little far for walking, but we drove to many different beaches while on the island, so that didn't matter for our group. We wanted to stay somewhere quiet and beautiful and that's exactly what we enjoyed. Thank you.

This location is amazing with gorgeous views! From the property You can catch a glimpse of Whales having fun in the ocean waves & can walk to coffee/food & fabulous shopping. Would stay again love Maui!

Great location & great view. Furniture is a bit old & worn. But had everything we could need, including beach chairs & umbrellas.

Superb Location

This property was a perfect location in walking distance to many Wailea activities. The grounds were so well kept. I have been to Ekolu before this trip, and will co to use to come back.

Beautiful Ocean View

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved our stay at this vacation rental. We loved relaxing on the lanai, but could also enjoy the beautiful ocean view from the living/dining room. You could enjoy sunset from the couch! Great location! Wailea beach is a 3 minute drive and has parking, but is also walkable if you wanted to. Highway is close by. Quick drive to Kihei, all South Maui beaches (loved Makena Beach), shopping and restaurants. Also, shopping and restaurants within a 5 minute walk.Kitchen had everything we needed. My only disappointment was the pool wasn't heated, but kids had no problem jumping in and swimming. Totally recommend staying here.
