Eine einzigartige umgebaute Scheune mit 4 Schlafzimmern in der Ecke eines abgelegenen Innenhofs.
Kürzlich von 'VisitEngland' mit 4 Sternen bewertet, der es als 'bemerkenswerten Umbau, der einen sehr guten Standard für Selbstversorger-Unterkünfte bietet' beschrieb.
Das Haus wurde gerade renoviert und auf hohem Standard eingerichtet. Die ursprünglichen Merkmale der alten Ställe, einschließlich der Balken und Namen der ehemaligen Pferdebewohner, wurden im mitfühlend restaurierten Hauptschlafzimmer beibehalten! Nagelneues Familienbadezimmer. Neues Bad, Dusche & Schrank

Die Master-Suite verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett mit Dusche und Zugang zum Garten. Ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett hat auch Fenstertüren zum Garten. Zwei Zweibettzimmer vervollständigen eine Seite des L-förmigen Hauses. Alle Betten und Matratzen sind brandneu. Es gibt auch ein Familienbadezimmer mit Badewanne und Dusche.
Die andere Hälfte des L beherbergt das riesige Wohnzimmer und die Küche mit Holzofen, Flachbildfernseher und großen Fenstertüren zum Garten, der das Haus umgibt. Der alte hölzerne Küchentisch bietet Platz für 8 Personen. Es gibt sogar ein Bett für einen gut erzogenen Hund, der einfachen Zugang zum Garten und tolle Spaziergänge in die umliegende Landschaft hat.
Wenn Sie keine Lust zum Kochen haben, ist ein Ausflug in die berühmte Kneipe "Old Inn" auf der anderen Straßenseite ein Muss. Sie kochen köstliche Pizzen in einem Ofen im Freien.
Es gibt eine Waschmaschine / Trockner in der gut ausgestatteten Küche. In den beiden Doppelzimmern gibt es auch ein Reisebett und einen Hochstuhl für Babys und einen Haartrockner.

Comfortable stay in beautiful Dorset

My family had a really comfortable stay in the cottage. It had everything we needed and felt very homely. The outside space is lovely and it was great to have "The Old Inn" a quick walk away for meals/drinks. It was a good base for exploring Dorset.

Lovely property in a quiet location

We had a fabulous time staying here for a week. The house was great and the gardens with the outdoor table and chairs. Lovely local walks and a pub within 2 minutes walking distance; what more could you want! Great location for exploring the coastline.

Very comfortable and beautifully furnished property in a lovely quiet position in Holt Village and 5 minutes walk from great pub, The Old Inn. Only down side were the bathroom facilities with one en suite for 2 & one family bathroom for 6 adults but we managed !

Great location. Great pub a stones throw away literally Cream carpets with dogs allowed is the only thing we thought was a little off putting especially in autumn and winter. All in all a lovely place. Beautifully designed and decorated. Spacious too

Nice house and perfect for our stay

The house was nice and well kept. Good kitchen. Oven and hobs take a really long time to heat so cooking a quick meal wasn’t possible. Overall - we had a great time and would stay again.

BRILLIANT house in a lovely location

We loved our week here. The house is great with lots of space and recently remodeled bathrooms - and the kitchen is particularly well equipped- we had a family gathering there one afternoon and had more than enough crockery and cutlery for them all. Being one minutes walk from a fab pub with great food, local beer and 130 gins was brilliant. Would definitely stay here again next time (hopefully in the summer so we could use the lovely garden)

Amazingly comfortable, clean and well located barn with everything we needed on hand

Thank you Angela for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We found the barn had everything and definitely more that we expected. As soon as we arrived we knew we had found something special. The location was great with a fantastic pub just along the lane called the Old Inn. The contact with Angela was just fabulous from the start and we would highly recommend a stay in this barn.

A wonderful home, beautiful setting

A perfect location for a family Christmas holiday. A warm, comfortable beautiful barn with plenty of space for everyone. The Aga was a challenge with the turkey but cooked it perfectly! The excellent pub accross the road is a real bonus and would love to return in the spring, as the garden I'm sure is beautiful. Beautiful peaceful country retreat

We really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful country property. We were a party of eight adults. The fixtures and fittings are luxurious and we found the beds and sofas extremely comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. The pub at the end of the lane was lovely, great food and a lovely atmosphere and only having to walk for two minutes from the property was a big bonus. We would definitely all return, thank you Angela :-)

Could be perfect

Beautiful property in a nice peaceful location, well furnished and plenty of space for all the family. Only 4 stars because of problems with the hot water system which took the edge off our stay. If that can be sorted it would be 5 stars from me.

We are a family of 5 - with 3 teenagers, who need plenty of sleep and activities in equal measure. We've fallen in love with East Dorset, for it's countryside, stunning coastline and fun things to do. Based in London for a decade, we now divide our time between Dorset and Switzerland - as we love nature and the great outdoors - be it the mountains or seaside.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Having looked for a couple of years, we decided being near to the New Forest AND the Jurassic coastline was ideal. It's very quiet, but there's plenty to do - and nearby Wimborne Minster has all the amenities you could want. Having room for 8 people and a garden were also important for us. We wanted a property with character, but easy to manage. This ticked all the boxes for us, and the kids love it as much as we do.

We've been amazed at the variety of things to do, from a waterski school at a nearby lake, to a sanctuary for monkeys, and a 'Go Ape' activity centre in the forest, with zipwires (at Moors Valley country park). There are also great restaurants in Wimborne Minster, with its' own theatre, that also shows movies. It's a corner of paradise, where you can chill out, unwind and do something different every day, if you want to. Every time I visit I want to stay longer...
