Die Unterkünfte in Talhouet wurden auf einem sehr hohen Standard restauriert. Sie sind sehr gut ausgestattet und möbliert. Es ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die Küste und die Landschaft der südlichen Bretagne zu erkunden. Es gibt einen großen beheizten Pool 12m x 5m, der mit unserer anderen Gite, Ash Tree Cottage, geteilt wird.

Esskastanie Ferienhaus ist ein schönes Ferienhaus voller Charakter mit originalen Eichenbalken. Geräumige offene Wohnbereich mit Kamin. Freesat T. V. DVD Spieler. Gut ausgestattete Küche, Geschirrspüler, Herd, Backofen, Toaster, Kaffeebereiter, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, Bügelbrett und Bügeleisen. Bed 1 - Doppelbett, Bad mit Badewanne, Toilette und Waschbecken. Bett 2- 2 Einzelbetten, Bad mit Dusche, Toilette und Waschbecken.

Talhouet Kerquere befindet sich in der sehr schönen Gemeinde Quistinic, in der sich auch POUL FETAN befindet, ein restauriertes bretonisches Dorf, in dem Sie die Bretagne wie vor ein paar Jahrhunderten kennenlernen können.

Wir sind nur 5 Minuten vom Fluss Blavet entfernt, wo Sie Kajaks mieten oder eine geführte Bootsfahrt unternehmen können, um den Fluss zu erkunden. Es gibt einen Treidelpfad neben dem Fluss, der für Autos nicht zugänglich ist, aber ideal zum Radfahren, Angeln oder einfach nur spazieren gehen.

Es gibt zahlreiche Restaurants und Bars innerhalb von 15 Minuten Fahrt.

Neu eröffnet im Jahr 2014 ist ein Themenpark für junge Kinder namens KINGOLAND, der in der Nähe von Locmine etwa 20 Minuten Fahrt entfernt ist.

In der Bretagne ist für jeden etwas dabei, ein perfekter Urlaubsort für Familien oder Paare.

The pool is lovely! Really peaceful location. Nearby Quistinic is a great little town. Fab area for cycling and walking, and we ate some amazing food in the local area. Really enjoyable holiday, would definitely visit again.

A week in central Brittany.

Good location for travel to the south coast of Brittany - 45/50 minutes to most places. Handy also for cycling especially along the River Blavet and the canal at Pontivy. Great swimming pool ! Help at hand if needed ( we didn't but always good to know ). Comfortable cottage.

Perfect location for exploring Southern Brittany

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days stay at Sweet Chestnut Cottage. It was a beautiful setting, with excellent facilities and a great location for exploring Southern Brittany. Marcus, the property owner could not have been more helpful during the build up to our stay, plus Rosie & Rob the property managers were excellent throughout the holiday. A typical Breton cottage

A typical, quaint Breton cottage but all the amenities that we required were available. Having the swimming pool was a bonus and the area is perfect for visiting a range of attractions, for example. Auray, Carnac, Josselin, Etel and Poul Fetan village. Good communication with the owner in England and Rob, the on-site manager, was excellent and very helpful. We appreciated the Welcome Pack and would recommend staying.

We had a lovely and peaceful week at Sweet Chestnut cottage, with everything we needed to cook and look after ourselves. The pool was perfectly heated and well maintained, and lots of space for the kids to run riot. There were guests staying in the other properties but it was easy to stay out of each others’ way. We rented kayaks on the Blavet river and our boys (3 and 7) had a marvellous time at La Balade du Père Nicolas, an “organic theme park” with go karts and slides etc only 15 mins drive away. The house was clean but “well loved” to put it kindly (and priced accordingly!) It worked extremely well for our needs as a young family of limited means.

Peace.....perfect peace!

Beautiful gite in a very quiet location....just the sound of the birds twittering. The gite was spotlessly clean & well equipped. Some lovely places, close by, to visit. The manager was very cheerful & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. ...he was on site everyday to clean the swimming pool. All in all, a perfect week in this gorgeous gite. Would definitely recommend this place!

Enjoyable stay at Sweet Chestnut Cottage

The cottage was as described in the advert. A lovely looking cottage with all you needed for a pleasant stay. Only couple of points were the towels, which had been washed but did smell old and musty. The swimming pool also is in need of some repair work but we appreciate that this may be a cost implication that hasn't been achieved yet. However that did not stop us enjoying the use of the pool as often as we could.

A great place to stay

We spent a lovely 2 weeks in this pretty cottage. The cottage is clean and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The pool was a lovely addition. The location of the cottage was great it was so peaceful and there were lots of fun and interesting places to visit nearby. The information booklet was very handy and useful! Marcus is a brilliant host, very helpful and easy to contact via the message service. Rob and Rosie the caretakers were very friendly and always available to help with any issues we had. Lovely holiday cottage in Brittany Countryside

A lovely holiday cottage in the Countryside near to Bubry / Quistinic. Fantastic pool and gardens, and the accommodation was just right for a family of 4. Unfortunately the weather was awful week 1; but the Gite is lovely, with UK TV; and good facilities. Be prepared to have to travel each day if you want to go to the Beach - approx 40kms to Lorient and 50kms away to Carnac and the Brittainy beaches. But the cottage had a fantastic swimming pool facility which was immaculately clean and well-kept by Rob! Bike storage is available and lots of outdoor games and bikes to borrow. Lots to do when the weather is good - but the location is quite away from any large towns and the nearby villages of Bubry and Quistinic are VERY quiet. Great for a rural getaway holiday when the weather is good - but there's not many restaurants nearby or things to do in the bad weather! If the weather is good - this is a fantastic place to stay and explore Brittainy. The hosts were fantastic and Rob and Rosie were very helpful and welcoming! (Thank you for a lovely holiday, and the weather can't be helped!)

Wunderschöner ruhiger Ort mit tollem Pool

Schönes Haus in schöner Umgebung

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit hier im "Sweet Chestnut". Das Haus war ausreichend für 4 Personen ausgestattet, sauber und komfortabel mit viel Platz im riesigen Garten. Natürlich ist der Pool schon etwas älter, wurde aber täglich gereinigt und wir hatten das Glück, während unseres Aufenthalts alleine zu sein, somit hatten wir den großen Pool und den Garten für uns. Der Gastgeber Marcus war jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr freundlich. Es gab viele Informationen über Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung, die wir gerne besucht haben. Die Hausmeister Rob und Rosie waren sehr hilfsbereit und schnell zur Stelle, wenn es ein Problem gab (nur Kleinigkeiten). Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt - vielen Dank für einen unbeschwerten Aufenthalt in der wunderschönen Bretagne.

Cottage au calme

Le cottage est situé dans un hameau isolé, au calme : idéal pour la tranquillité. Le centre du charmant petit village est assez loin du logement, mais cela ne nous a pas gêné. Le logement est correct : il faudrait juste rafraîchir la décoration, moderniser la cuisine équipée et surtout changer le matelas 2 places (les ressorts affleurent : nous sommes peut-être un peu difficiles mais bien dormir est important!). Enfin, à l'arrivée, le coffre-fort dans lequel était la clé du logement ne s'est pas ouvert malgré le code réalisé plusieurs dizaines de fois. Pour le coup, Mr Dode a été facilement joignable via la messagerie Abritel et très réactif (malgré l'éloignement géographique, puisque Mr Dode est anglais) : la dame qui s'occupe du logement sur place est arrivée dans la demi-heure qui suivait et nous a confié une autre clé. Chère Madame Démaret, merci beaucoup d'avoir passé en revue votre récent séjour à Sweet Chestnut cottage, nous sommes si heureux d'apprendre que vous avez apprécié vos vacances. Merci également pour les suggestions concernant les changements apportés au décor et à l'équipement de la cuisine, ainsi qu'au matelas double, nous envisagerons certainement d'apporter quelques changements avant la saison prochaine. C'était une chose tellement étrange avec la boîte à clés à votre arrivée, cela ne s'est jamais produit auparavant et nous l'avons soumis à la chaleur féroce que nous avons eue ce jour-là. Les pièces métalliques délicates à l'intérieur de la boîte doivent avoir été déformées par la chaleur. Notre bricoleur local Rob a ensuite desserré les vis qui fixent la boîte au mur et cela Par mesure de précaution, nous avons maintenant une deuxième clé cachée sur place au cas où il y aurait à nouveau un problème avec la boîte à clés. Nous sommes désolés pour le désagrément que vous avez causé, mais nous sommes heureux d'avoir pu résoudre le problème rapidement. Comme vous l'avez souligné à juste titre, le Vbro website était très utile pour communiquer avec vous, même si j'étais dans le nord de l'Angleterre à vélo! Jolie petite maison typique bretonne, isolée de tout, piscine de bonne taille,

Juste un petit problème présence d'une souris, et d'une chauve souris, difficulté de discuter avec le propriétaire anglais qui ne parle pas français, et de surcroit absent pour cause de covid, enfin le père lui parle bien le français, et aussi baignoire non équipé d'un pommeau et d'un mitigeur donc impossible de prendre une douche debout, juste un bain, ce qui n'est pas pratique lorqu'on est 4 et qu'il faut partager l'autre salle de bain !!

En réponse à vos commentaires nous somme ravi que vous avez passé un agréable séjour malgré la présence des visiteurs non invites, la conséquence du positionnement du gîte en pleine campagne ! le ménage est fait a fonds après chaque locataire, mais une porte ouverte pendant le barbecue peut permettre un accès aux indésirables. Afin de résoudre ce problème nous allons équiper l’endroit de répulsif ultrason anti souris. Merci de nous l’avoir signalé. L’absence de pomme de douche dans la salle de bain est en effet un inconvenient un mitigeur adapté bain et douche sera mise en place avant le début de la saison prochaine. Comme vous avez mentionné, le covid a empêché notre presence, mais je pense que les bons services de nos gestionnaires sur place, et mon père de nationalité française avec sa facilité de communication à largement compensé notre absence. Nous espérons que vous retrouverez le chemin de Talhouet dans le future. Cordialement
