Diamond in the Rough

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 4th time staying at Diamond in the Rough. It is always a great experience and close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Looking forward to our next stay. The couch is worn you sink really low when seated. The main door lock needs repaired, had numerous problems setting and unlocking. Also, it looks like someone kicked in the main door. The rug in the main room and the carpets need cleaned, numerous spots.

Everything about this cabin rental has been excellent. The communication from the start went smoothly. The booking also went smoothly. The cabin is located so conveniently to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. Close to local restaurants that are delicious. The cabin was very clean and spacious. We had 5 families with us and we had plenty of space. The hot water was super hot.(which is always a good thing with a rental) The kids enjoyed the game room and the movie room. We had a bear come right up to the cabin. Our neighbors said they saw 3 bears while we were there. Parking was never a problem. Plenty of space for all our vehicles. Hot tub was nice and warm and then we came back in to a very cold cabin. Which was very nice on these hot days.We really enjoyed our stay at Diamond in the rough. We definitely will be returning.

The house was very beautiful and clean. It was easy to access and host kept us up to speed on how to access the property and leave. Beautiful views and accessibility out on the porches. The only 2 concerns were that the house address was not correct on Google maps and outside trash cans were too small and could have been emptied a couple times during our week long stay since bears were a concern,

Family vacation getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family came together in Gatlinburg for a short stay and had a great time at this beautiful cabin! The cabin had everything we needed, other than being short on toilet paper for 14 guests (after running out the first night we learned we needed to get our own). It was also close to many things like Food City (we made several trips), downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood! We had a great time and it was a beautiful place to meet up with family for a long weekend.
Antwort von VrboOwner am 9. Okt. 2025
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We are so happy to hear your family enjoyed a great getaway in Gatlinburg and that the cabin provided a comfortable and convenient home base for your trip. Its wonderful to know the location worked well for you—being close to Food City, downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Dollywood really does make it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer! We appreciate your note about the toilet paper supply. While we do provide a starter amount, we understand that it can be used up quickly with a larger group, and we will ensure that this is made clearer in future communications. Thank you again for staying with us—we would love to welcome you back for another family getaway anytime! Remember, as a repeat visitor you will save 10% on future stays.
