Ganz in der Nähe von South Kensington Tube und leicht zu Fuß zu Knightsbridge, dieses imposante Periode Gebäude verfügt über einen großen Salon mit separatem Esszimmer, befindet sich direkt neben der Küche. Hinunter mehrere Treppen am Eingang vorne, aber in der Wohnung im Erdgeschoss mit Blick auf den hinteren Garten. Schönes Hauptschlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett, komplettem Bad, Badewanne mit Dusche, Waschbecken und WC Alle komplett gefliest und mit Marmor-Waschbecken. Das zweite Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett. Perfect London flat!

My mother, teenaged daughter and I had a fantastic week here! It’s a beautifully decorated, well appointed and comfortable flat in a perfect location near museums, restaurants and the South Kensington tube station. The host made arrival and departure transpiration seamless. Would love to come back!

Unbelievable stay and amazing hosts

Could not have been happier with our amazing time at 14 thurloe. Spectacular neighborhood with wonderful restaurants and shops and steps away from the tube. Easy checkin and clean safe and welcoming apartment. Would easily stay here again. Would also highly recommend Derek who was a wonderful driver to and from the airport. We also want to thank Harry and Joan who were very helpful when we had a lockout and helped us right away. Cannot say enough good things about this cozy, warm, welcoming rental. Just perfect. :)

Family trip to London

My family, girls ages 13 and 16 traveled to London for 9 days and stayed at this property in South Kensington. The location was perfect and the South Kensington tube station was a 3 minute walk. There were many great restaurants and shops all within a 5 minute walk. We used the private taxi service to and from the airport which was very convenient. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also super helpful for a long stay. Took us awhile to figure out we needed to dump the condensation container on the dryer but we finally got it right. Would highly recommend this property for families staying in London.

Premises was charming and couldn’t have been better located, with the natural history museum almost on your doorstep as well as the tube. Communication with Harry the property manager was first rate, and the booking process was simple and stress free. I would have given 5 stars but for a few minor flaws. The hot water was patchy and resulted in a morning of cold showers. And it would have been nice to have had a small amount of coffee, washing powder, shampoo etc. Minor gripes and it might not be common to provide these amenities in the UK, however for a relatively low cost it would have provided a more homely environment and saved the expense of buying a whole container of washing powder for 3-4 washes.

Excellent location, beautifully decorated, cookware needs to be replaced

This property is well-located and quite spacious. You enter sub-street level. This is where the trash cans are located for the building. However, that aspect is offset by the charming patio that is the view of the living/dining and second bedroom. The flat is spectacularly decorated and quite cozy. On the surface very clean, but baseboards and behind furniture (which is required to access plugs) are dust filled. We are a family that likes a big breakfast and planned on eating in, but the extremely poor cookware ( peeling non-stick) made that challenging. But otherwise the kitchen fully outfitted with lovely dishes and knives that actually slice. We were very happy with all other aspects and thought it delivered very strong value. Would stay there again (and bring my own pan, teehee).

Amazing location

The property was great besides the outdoor space, which was the main reason for booking. It is completely overgrown and needs to be trimmed back, it is so overrun with bees. As someone who is allergic, I was unable to use the outdoor space during the day. The property is a tad musty because of the basement location, but it was a great space and location for us. Restaurants, pubs, shops and the tube station right outside the door! The only other negative was that they had someone do a “property check” on our second day there. Coming from a different time zone, we were not quite acclimated yet and we were still tired when they came at 10:30am. It was 3:30am in our minds, so it was a bit of a nuisance to be woken up. Overall, we’d stay here for the location and the nice indoor space, but elsewhere for an outdoor space. The ride to and from the airport, 90pounds each way, was also very helpful and I highly recommend using this service.

Dear Alecia, Thank you for your review. However, I am surprised to receive this negative review from you as so far, every guest we have had, has loved the garden. You were there in the middle of August and it is impossible for us to have gardeners there every day and in the British climate with plenty of rain and then sunshine, plants grow very quickly. Even if we cut them back, the bees would still be attracted to them, it’s normal. I’m sure almost every garden in England has bees in the summer. I took a look at the garden at the time and it all looks absolutely blooming and very healthy. I was in the flat for the whole day this weekend and I had no issue with bees at all. Regarding the complaint at somebody arriving 10:30 to do an inspection, 2 days after you had arrived, my colleague informed you of this on the day you moved in and you said that was fine. Unfortunately, the lady who was carrying out the inspection for legal reasons, arrived 30 mins before the appointment time when she was supposed to be meeting my colleague. She arrived just before 11 and you had given access without my presence. I had absolutely no control over this early arrival, so I apologize. We usually choose 11 am if inspections are needed as most guests visiting London, particularly in Summer, and two days after arrival, are excited to get up and enjoy and adventure. Almost all of our guests love the property and the location. Thank You Harry

Perfect Location - unusual check in process

What we loved: Amazing location near a tube stop and with museums and restaurants nearby. Nice layout and space. Totally functional for our needs. What we didn't love: 1. The property management company makes it very difficult to check in at any time that is within "normal" office hours. While it is specified in the listing, it is hard to understand. Basically, you have a 2 hour window in which to complete the check-in process on any given day (between 1 and 3 PM). If before 1 PM, it is a special request. If after 3 PM (the usual time for every VRBO I have ever stayed in), this is "outside" office hours. Expect to pay an additional 50-90 pounds to check in. We have stayed in many VRBO across the US and in France and the UK and never had this experience before. 2. We felt it was not as nice as the pictures. The furnishings are nice, but the overall condition of the place is not as good in person as it looks in the pics. It was fine but didn't match our expectations. 3. The garden area just wasn't usable for us- it is overgrown with a plant loved by honey bees and there were hundreds of them during the day, making it difficult to share the space (especially for the kids/teens in our group). The garden area is also shared with the apartment upstairs. So, overall, this place was just "OK" for us. Your experience may vary depending on your needs and expectations.

Thank you for your comments - please find response below Regarding check in we do not guarantee check in before 1pm.However, where guests arrive off early flights,provided its not a same day changeover we let guests go in immediately.Therefore, our staff arrive at 7.30am and work until 3pm. Most of our guests arrive on early morning flights - I would say at least 80 – 85 per cent of arrivals. Therefore, our flexibility allows them to check in after an overnight flight, rather than hanging around, tired and maybe with small children. For this reason our check in with meeting is any time from 8am until 3pm. Any arrivals after that time either have to pay for an out of hours meet and greet or accept taxi transfer. We recommend the taxi transfer as its very cost efficient.The driver meets the guest, takes them to the apartment and makes sure they get in safely and gives them keys.I would say less than 1 per cent of our guests arrive on Eurostar, and our terms and conditions are very clear when clients make a reservation.There is at least 1 train an hour so any guest can arrange to take an earlier train.I take great exception wording regarding the condition of the flat .Most people absolutely love it, we get 5 star reviews all the time.The apartment was redecorated, refurbished and refurnished by a top interior designer 2-3 years ago with very beautiful, high quality furniture.Most people love the patio garden. Most people love the flowers and there are honey bees. Thanks,Harry

Needs deep clean and better managment

This apartment has an amazing location. Cafes, museums, and the tube are all footsteps away. However, there are drawbacks. The apartment needs a deep clean. The areas that were cleaned were quite clean, however, the baseboards and woodwork and blinds were all caked with dust. This is more than the cleaners could possibly tackle in the few hours between renters. Also, the heat went out when we were there. It was around 9 pm on a Friday night. We reached out to the booking agent and the managment team. No one had WhatsApp to call us, and no one offered to fix the heat that night, even though the low was 34 degrees. The heat was luckily fixed the next morning, but we were repremanded for having contacted the staff on a Friday night. They said that no plumber in England would consider no heat an emergency, and that no apartments in London offer 24-hour service. There were no extra blankets or duvets in the apartment and it was a cold night. Also, while the bedrooms and living room are quite cute, the kitchen looks like it hasn't been touched for many years. Per prior review there is a single, scratched pan. The apartment is well set up for takeout but not cooking. Finally, the description references a "separate dining room," but there is none. There is a dining table in the living room, as reflected in the photos. The taxi service from the airport was great and the booking agent was helpful, but I would not rent an apartment from this managment group again.

Perfect Location Lovely Apartment

We thoroughly loved our stay at this apartment. SUPER close to South Kensington station and tons of cute restaurants and cafes nearby. Designer custom decor throughout the apartment. May could improve their towels and provide washcloths(we bought some at Gift shop) but that’s truly the only thing I would change.

You absolutely can't beat this location!

We had a great visit to this South Kensington flat. The location was absolutely perfect. The Tube station was a one minute walk from the flat. It is also a hub for many bus routes. We started using Google Maps to show us what bus route to take during our visit. It’s quicker and cheaper than the Tube and you get to see more along the way. The flat was very clean. The internet worked well. We loved that we had both a washer and a dryer. Our only issue was that all of the beds were pretty hard. We ended up sleeping on top of the comforter to give ourselves a little padding. Do yourself a favor and use the taxi service that they recommend. Derek was superb for getting to the flat. We also booked him to return to the airport.

London South Kensington Apartment

Totally fabulous apartment! Beautifully decorated and comfortable! VERY quiet at night!!! And surrounded by so many great restaurants and take-away spots! This is a garden-level apartment, so at the street level. Not underground, but about half- and half. We were there in November, so it was cold, but there is a beautiful garden patio which would be great on warmer days. About 75 yards from the South Kensington Tube Stop. About 2 blocks from the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum. Could not be a better location!

A great base for those traveling to London!

A lovely basement flat minutes from the underground station with plenty of restaurants, shops and museums nearby. Thankfully, the flat is equipped with a standing floor fan — helpful for those that need air circulation or white noise at night. Overall quiet neighborhood though. Flat had all the necessities (well equipped kitchen, although we never used it!), but be sure to bring the appropriate electrical adapter! Baths did not supply shampoo, soap or facial tissues — just an FYI. Communication from property manager was excellent!

Fantastic property

Can't recommend this property enough! It was beautifully decorated, super clean, very comfortable and the location was fantastic! It was the perfect hub for us as we could walk to many sites but could also easily jump on the tube and get anywhere we needed to quickly. There are tons of fantastic restaurants nearby - the hardest part was selecting which one to go to! We loved being able to "come home" every night after a long day of sightseeing and relax in our comfortable flat - it really did feel like home. We foolishly took the Heathrow Express from the airport into London - then had to change trains to get to the flat and that was difficult to navigate as the tube stations didn't have lifts so we had to haul our suitcases up and down stairs. We asked the property manager for recommendations for a cab/driver when it was time to head back to Heathrow and they put us in touch with a fantastic driver. We wished we had had him pick us up on the first day. So, that is our word of advice - get the driver! We didn't save any money by using the Heathrow Express and the stress and aggravation of getting through the tube stations after an all night flight wore us out! Luckily we had this amazing flat to relax in when we arrived!
