Our stay at Shelley and Dave’s flat was great. Their hospitality put our London experience over the top, and we felt so welcomed. The flat has two bedrooms - perfect for the three of us. With a kitchen, dining area and den, plus the outdoor patio, it was exactly what we needed to make my husband’s big birthday trip amazing. The neighborhood is charming and very walkable, with pubs, restaurants and shops. Shelley and Dave were terrific hosts, even helping us secure tickets to things we wanted and helping us navigate systems that were unfamiliar. The airport transportation also was really comforting because we were not familiar with the logistics. We loved our trip, and a large part of that is attributed to our wonderful hosts. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again with our new friends!

Loved this apartment for our 5 days in London. when i first began looking for a place to rent I worried that maybe it would be better to stay more in the “middle of things”. But i am so so glad that i instead opted for this place in a genuine and quiet neighborhood. It’s on a lovely little side street, so quiet but yet only a five minute walk to the Earl’s court tube station (where there are also plenty of stores of all sorts) Earl’s court is a most convenient station. So easy to get to all the city places, including a direct line to Heathrow. We ate at a couple of lovely neighborhood restaurants within an easy walking distance and strolled thru the beautiful and amazing Brompton Cemetery (just down the street, not to be missed).As far as the apartment itself, super clean, very comfy bed, and lovely garden terrace. We had everything we needed. In fact they stock the kitchen with enough food for breakfast, tea, and snacks that we didn't have to buy much else. The hosts were exceptional…Dave picked us up at the airport ! and showed us around the flat himself. So many personal touches, Infinitely better than being in some sort of corporate rental in noisy, crowed areas.

We are so grateful to Shelley and Dave for being such wonderful hosts!!! The Chelsea flat is quaint and comfortable with all the necessities for a stay. We were greeted by Dave (one of the owners) at Heathrow and he drove us to the flat, using the trip to give details about London and the flat. Such a wonderful and kind touch!We had easy access to the tube, restaurants and groceries, which made our stay even better. Being our first time to stay in the city, we were looking for a safe spot and found the area to be just that, brimming with families out and about walking. Even though it was unseasonably warm during our stay, we were perfectly comfortable simply opening windows and using the fans.If you are looking for a cozy, quiet spot with easy access to all that London has to offer, look no further! We certainly hope to stay again in the future

Cozy Chelsea flat

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Shelley and Dave's flat. Super cute and cozy. We had everything we needed and more which began with a super helpful pick up from Heathrow airport. Dave delivered us to the flat and gave us keys and all the important info. There were even groceries left for us which made breakfast so so nice the next morning. They were very responsive to any and all questions and super helpful with tips about local restaurants and walks. The neighborhood is very nice on a quiet street and about a 7 min walk to the tube. Shelley and Dave are wonderful hosts that care.Cheers!

The place was perfect for our trip to London. We couldn’t have asked for a better neighborhood to have as our home for the week. Easy access to Earl’s Court train station with grocery stores and coffee shops nearby. The flat had all the amenities you could need with a terrific terrace as well.

Excellent stay in London

I highly recommend a stay at Shelley‘s lovely flat. It’s on a quiet residential street in a nice area and feels like home – not a rental at all. Very well appointed, lovely furnishings and very clean. The beds and bedding are especially comfortable. She provided a wonderful selection of groceries that I used for quite a number of meals. Shelley and her husband went above and beyond in offering help and accommodating several special requests. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

Lovely, clean, quiet London flat

Shelley and David's London flat worked out perfectly for visiting our son close by. David graciously picked me up from the airport and showed me around the flat. They had nicely stocked food items available when I got there. We found the flat to be very clean. It is on a very quiet street, walking distance to buses and the underground. We weren't able to use the outside deck due to the weather, but it looked lovely.

Well located and equipped, white glove clean with a most gracious host. Shelley goes above and beyond to be sure that her guests get off to a good start for their stay. We are experienced renters but we have never seen such a supply of staples and breakfast items. Ice for drinks, coffee, eggs and bread for the morning; all on hand., even a bottle of wine. 10 Perfect Days

Our journey started with a greeting from Dave at Heathrow, followed by a comfortable ride to the flat in his zippy & roomy red Tesla. Dave walked us through the ins & outs of the flat and provided us with generous provisions: bread, cheese, apples, grapes, eggs, milk, tea, coffee & more! Just what we needed after an overnight flight. We enjoyed dining at Hollywood Arms, Fox & Pheasant, Gail's Bakery but our favorite was The Ivy. Our flat was an easy walk to the tube, restaurants, & multiple grocery stores. A surprising bonus was Holy Trinity Brompton Church St. Luke's Earl's Court only a block away. It was a friendly and welcoming congregation and provided a church home away from home. Shelley's many communications and extensive London details with sites, restaurants and walks were much appreciated. We also checked out Stamford Bridge, Chelsea FC's stadium and Old Brompton Cemetery which are within walking distance from the flat. It was finally warm enough on our last day to enjoy the peacefulness of the lovely terrace which was a perfect end to our trip.

The communication with the owner was outstanding. Shelley answered all my questions quickly and sent detailed information. She offered restaurant recommendations and was truly helpful. The apartment was even better than expected and the location was amazing. We like to walk to see a city and the Kings Road, Kensington, Knightsbridge are walkable. Earls Court and West Brompton tube stations are in easy walking distance plus many buses. The washer was great but the dryer was an added bonus especially with the UK weather. The terrace looked amazing but the weather unfortunately wasn't good so we didn't use it. We would definitely stay here again without a doubt. I highly recommend this apartment.

Mother/Son Adventure

I stayed in Dave and Shelley's cozy flat for 2 weeks with my 26 year old son. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The two bedrooms have very comfortable beds and nice bedding, great for a good night's sleep after long days sightseeing. The kitchen was well-appointed and stocked by the hosts with lots of goodies, which was lovely and thoughtful. While we didn't cook, the kitchen has everything one needs, and there is a nice table for eating. The bathroom had everything we needed - shower over deep bath with plenty of hot water. We used the terrace during nice weather for tea, and it was lovely. The flat has very nice natural light and large windows, and was also immaculately clean. The street is quiet and the neighborhood nice and convenient. We used the underground, and walked all over everywhere, and it was way and safe. One of the nicest touches was that Dave picked me up from the airport, and showed me around the neighborhood before depositing me in the flat. It was so nice not to have to find my own way after a long, transatlantic flight. Dave and Shelley were both attentive and thoughtful both before and through our stay - I 'd happily stay there again when next in town!

Can't wait to go back

We’ve rented several apartments over the years in London, and this has been our favorite. The location is very convenient – Earl’s Court Tube station (where you can access two Tube lines, Piccadilly and District), restaurants, grocery stores, and Boots (a drugstore chain like CVS in the US) are all a 10-minute walk away. The owners are also just as wonderful. They were prompt and helpful and always went above and beyond. There was a countrywide railway strike while we were there, and Shelley arranged transportation to the airport for us, which was no simple task since all transportation was in high demand. The apartment itself was very comfortable, and the terrace was so charming, especially in the evening.

Comfort Galore

It may have been wet and very cold during our 2 week stay in our beloved London but this vrbo was pure warmth and coziness and comfort. And so quiet! We were greeted warmly by the owners daughter and shown around with care and patience. We knew the owners did something truly extraordinary by stocking the kitchen but we weren't expecting fabulous scones and cream along with so many well selected basics that kept us in breakfast heaven for a week! I loved the London decor and accessories (tea cups honoring the Queen's 90th) and all the fresh comfort. I slept like a dream. The location was divine. Heartfelt thanks to owners Shelley and Dave, who we hope to meet next time we book. London is "my happy place.: After 12 visits we finally have found "a home away from home." BRAVO!!!

Wonderful

From months prior to our arrival this was an exceptional experience. Shelley and David were wonderful hosts, went above and beyond to welcome us to London and their lovely home. This was by far the best experience I have had. We very much appreciated meeting Shelley and David at the airport upon arrival and the lift to the flat. Their place was just as described - so welcoming and comfortable, with a fridge full of basic needs and treats to tide us over until we could do some shopping of our own. This allowed us to relax and recharge after our flight from Boston. This is a perfect little flat that had everything we needed and was in such a perfect location. Easy to access everything. I only wish we had a little bit better weather so we could have enjoyed the beautiful private terrace out back. I really cannot say enough about how delightful Shelley and David and this charming flat are. We will definitely return here.

Perfect spot

Everything was delightful. This apartment was perfect for our family of 3. Our 19 year old son was happy with the small 2nd Br. We arrived in London on my husband’s birthday and Shelley had a small cake waiting as well as a candle for us to use. So thoughtful. David picked us up for the train station and helped with the luggage. We are so thankful for that added touch. There were also some eggs, bread, scones and other things to get us started. I even had to go find the scones and buy more to take home. They were so good. Shelley really has thought of everything for this apartment. So many nice little touches. We enjoyed the lovely terrace in the evenings for drinks and dinner a few nights. The location is very quiet. It’s close to Earl’s Court which is a quick ride to everywhere we wanted to go in London. Tube uses tap pay CC now so no Ouster card needed. West Brompton Station also has a direct train every hour to Warford Junction for Harry Potter Studio Tour. That also used tap pay. This place was so convenient and perfect for us. I would highly recommend it. We totally enjoyed our stay. Shelley and David are wonderful hosts. Probably the best I have ever worked with. Best host experience. Very special owners that care about your experience. So grateful for Dave’s transport from the airport and personalized attention in showing us the apt. He left some groceries which was amazing after a long flight. The area is close to the Tube and very safe. Loved having the washer and dryer and very good wifi. Close to a grocery store with a rolling cart provided at the apt. Light blocking curtains, comfortable beds, and good water pressure. A terrific spot to use as a base to explore London. Quiet street, central to everything and fantastic hosts. It's sparkling clean and well equipped - we made dinner there a few nights. Easy to get to restaurants and groceries too. - although the hosts provide a great set up of light fruit and fridge necessities to get your holiday started. The offer to pick us up at Heathrow was a treat and Dave was beyond gracious to suggest helping my son pick up his new apartment key and drop his gear there as a side trip. I would definitely recommend the location too - it allows you to get to everything easily, but also retreat from the chaos and bustle of the big city at the end of the day. We will definitely be back!

Charming and perfect place!

We had such a lovely stay (family of 4 - 2 teenage daughters) Shelley and Dave made all the difference, their place is simply perfect but their attention to our stay even helping us with a wonderful tour of Stonehenge, Bath and a few other stops in some Cotswolds towns… our time in London was wonderful and we feel like we have new friends too! Wonderful stay !!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Shelley & David's lovely apartment in Chelsea. David was kind enough to pick us up at the airport. Shelley had emailed me all kinds of great ideas for things to do in London. The apartment is absolutely perfect in its appointments and location. The backyard deck is a lovely feature. We enjoyed relaxing there after a long day of sightseeing. All in all, a wonderful place to stay, with exquisite hosts ! Highly recommended !

My boyfriend and I really enjoy our stay in Shelley and Dave flat in London. From the pick-up at the airport by Dave to the last day of our stay, we appreciated the location of the appartement which is close to Earl's Court underground station that brings us easily and everywhere around the city. There are many restaurants around that you can find by walking. Thanks Shelley and Dave, we will recommand your flat to our family and friends.

Spectacular flat in Chelsea

Shelley and Dave are exceptional hosts for this absolutely wonderful apartment in very quiet Chelsea neighborhood. Apartment is spotlessly clean and fully equipped. Living space has 3 large light-filled windows. Main bedroom is in rear overlooking trees for a peaceful night's sleep. Terrace is a huge bonus which we used every day. Can't say enough good things about hosts Shelley and Dave who treat you like family and will share a wonderful list of activities and places to visit beyond the normal "tourist" sights. Just ask. A 10 experience across the board. Highly and enthusiastically recommend the apartment for your London stay!

I live with my husband and two teenage children in a small village near Guildford in the Surrey Hills. I very much enjoy walking in the beautiful countryside surrounding us, practising Yoga and spending as much time as I can with my family and close friends. We enjoy having our flat in London, using it ourselves as a second home - enjoying its fabulous location, being close to many of our favourite restaurants, shopping and Theatre. Our apartment is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We would like to share our apartment with others who appreciate its location and comfort as well.

Our apartment is in a fantastic location in the heart of Chelsea and has a beautiful Roof Garden Terrace which is so nice to have - for al fresco dining and relaxing during one's stay. We are only a short stroll away from Redcliffe Square and the Kings Road for designer stores and chic restaurants.
My mother grew up in Fulham and this area has always been special to me as I used to travel up to my grandparents regularly as a child.

The Roof Terrace is lovely -
The apartment is in the heart of Chelsea -
The area is quiet which is a real advantage as so many streets close by are noisy and on main roads. Our road is quiet and gives a relaxing feel. The main bedroom is at the back of the apartment overlooking gardens - giving a tranquil feel.
