Hello We are very sorry that your experience was not the best. With that in mind we agreed to issue a refund for the remaining days giving you the option to cancel your booking during your stay. Although this is not a common practice by any renter/Hotel we believe that if someone is not having a pleasant stay for whatever reason we will always do our best to hear and try to help our guests. There are a few details about the flat which are on the description and we are always available to discuss over the phone/email before anyone makes a booking so that we are sure to accommodate everyone’s needs. So just to clarify: - The Flat does not offer AC as it’s not included in the description. - The Bed is a Standard Double (200-140cm). If anyone is concerned that the bed might not be appropriate we would like to think that anyone with a height of 205cm would check first before making a booking as we would do the same and as we had guests before making an enquiry before booking as well. The condition of the mattress itself has provided most guests with a good night sleep and we never had any complaints but we can understand if the mattress did not meet your expectations. - Lastly, and on this point we would have to strongly disagree about the noisy location of the flat. This area is one of quiet locations in the Algarve. Yes, it’s still high season, Summer and people are relaxed on their balconies or in the “snack-bar” downstairs, please don’t mistake it with a bar or a night club, because this is a small typical snack bar that closes at midnight with no loud music or any music/noise at all. Now the Hotel which is 300-400m away do have some nights with animation/music which once again finishes by midnight. The street, almost no traffic at all, it’s a residential area away from any main roads, and the trash collection at 4am I understand that if you are not having a good night sleep you will probably wake up with almost anything (although the windows are double glassed) but that’s something outside our control and I don’t think we can ask the council to make any changes to that. All in all, we are sorry once again that the flat did not meet your expectations and we hope that in the future we can clarify any details about the flat itself before a booking is made so that we are sure we can accommodate your needs.
