Holzfußböden, Kristallleuchter, mit einer Mischung aus modernen und antiken Möbeln, 16 Meter hohen Decken, Gasherd, Veranda und Terrasse zurück mit einem chiminea dekoriert. Zwei voll ausgestattete Badezimmer mit Badewanne / Dusche, das Hauptschlafzimmer hat ein eigenes Bad.

Inklusive Parkplatz, Wi-Fi und Zugang zu einem lokalen privaten Fitness-Studio 24 Stunden am Tag.

Die nächstgelegene Fluss-Zugang ist 0,2 Meilen (ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß), und seine etwa eine halbe Meile bis zum Beginn der Restaurants, beginnend mit der Blue Star Arts Complex, direkt neben der King William Stadtviertel, dann der Haupt-Touristen nimmt.

Awesome Experience

My partner and I stayed at the home while conducting a trial in San Antonio. It was perfect. The owner was incredibly accommodating and it was the perfect location for us as it was close to the Courthouse. Five minute drive every morning! Additionally, the location is perfect with many great restaurants. It made the whole working experience enjoyable as we could come back from a long day in Court and relax in this comfy, cool, house. It also provided plenty of space to continue working and had wi-fi, which was a must for us. Oh ya, and we WON the trial! Loved it, will do it again, Thank you JO!

Quiet street, very convenient in downtown San Antonio

The house was quiet, solid, comfortable and very clean. Instructions were provided and very easy to understand. Updated bathrooms, nice bedrooms and plenty of space for our visit. The proximity of the house to downtown San Antonio, and dining amenities, made our stay very enjoyable.

Good location

This was our 1st Home Away experience. Pros: location, cute home with everything you need, home owner accessible, pet friendly. Cons: dog smell was overwhelming, especially on the couch, vents need cleaning.

We sprayed an all natural odor killer, helped some, but didn't use on the leather couch which I suspect is the problem. I do not have a keen sense of smell and my husband had a head cold, we own 2 dogs, but it was intense. We did not inform H.O. until after we left; it was Christmas weekend and we made the booking the night before arrival - so we assumed she didn't have the time she normally would to prepare for our visit.

I'm confident she would have addressed the smell or any other needs, had we spoken to her.

Pet Friendly Vintage Cottage in Transitional Historic Neighborhood

Pros: house is a $5-$6 Uber ride away from the downtown San Antonio, compared to parking in the downtown garages for substantially more money. It is pet friendly for a modest cleaning fee with a small fenced in back yard that allows dogs to do their business off leash. The house has vintage charm but modern amenities: central air, high end electronics, WiFi. The owner is low key and easy going--very few strict rules. The eclectic mix of antiques, IKEA and collectibles is fun and funky. Dedicated guest parking in the driveway with easy entrance and exit. Close to main roads making travel to outlying areas convenient.

Cons: There are maintenance issues: hard-to-manage antique door locks, holes in front porch boards, lots of light bulbs out (we suspect the house's older wiring isn't always compatible with the CFL bulbs), coffee pot that doesn't function properly (it took 1 hour to brew a pot of coffee). Additionally, the toilet ran continuously and couldn't be adjusted, although the owner did advise a plumber would be coming out after the weekend. We ended up just turning off the water at night, so it wouldn't disturb our sleep. Home is very near an active train track and crossing, with trains blowing their whistle/horns at all hours--some in our group liked this; others couldn't sleep. The home is lived in by owner when not rented, meaning closets and drawers are occupied, bathrooms contain owner's personal grooming and hygiene items. The home is neat and basically clean, but not ultra clean, for instance, shower curtain liner had mildew and our feet became dirty when walking barefoot on wood floor.

Overall, we felt like we were staying in the home of a friend; i.e., it's not the level of amenities you'd demand from a hotel, but stuff you would tolerate if you stayed with a friend who let you bring your dogs. As a result, it worked fine for our group which consisted of two adult daughters and their mother in town for a weekend getaway.

The 2 week allergy attack

We were moving from Missouri to San Antonio. We decided to give a rental property a try since we had pets and wanted to save some money by not taking the pets to a kennel. We stayed at this house for 2 weeks. The first impression of the house was amazing. It had a warm rustic/historic and antique feel to the place. Within a day or two my family started to have severe allergic reactions to the house. My daughter would break out in hives and her throat would get scratchy and start to close up at night. My wife's allergies were more severe. She swelled up at night and couldn’t breathe which resulted in her having to rely on allergy medication to sleep. The problems would clear up when we leave the house and go out for the day. Needless to say, we had to clean the house from top to bottom because it was extremely dirty. The vents in the bathrooms had dead cockroaches in them along with mold and mildew. The air vent in the kitchen was too high for me to reach but that particular vent was covered in a layer of dirt and filth. It was blatantly obvious that the house was not cleaned by a professional cleaner for a very long time. So why was I charged a cleaning fee if the house was a filthy mess? The original hardwood floors haven’t been mopped or properly treated in a few years. We would walk across the floor with our white socks and the bottom would end up covered with black filth. Last but not least, the house does not have cable TV. Instead it has an internet cable TV box (Roku 2), and the owner provided no instructions on how to use it. Since there was no form of entertainment, I unplugged an HDMI cable so I can use my laptop to play some previously saved shows. A few days after we left we were accused of damaging the TV and our deposit was held hostage. I offered to go back to the house to resolve the issue and hopefully repair what I supposedly broke but I was given one excuse after another; almost as if she didn’t want me to come and fix the issue. The owner informed me that she has been in contact with tech support and it turns out that once the HDMI cable is disconnected from the Roku 2 system, it breaks the entire device? Sounds like the owner has a faulty or outdated product, since simply disconnecting a cable broke the entire device. In the end, I was asked to replace the device which I did since I did not want my money to be held hostage anymore and I did not want to deal with this lady ever again. Will NEVER deal with this owner again

Vermieter-Kommentar: I get a lot of compliments on the homes cleanliness in my other reviews and i encourage you to read them. This review was a result of the first time I ever asked a renter to replace something that was damaged and I guess the renter didn't take it well. There were no complaInts of allergies or cleanliness issues during the entire 2 week duration the family stayed, and I checked in on them multiple times. I even spent many hours trying to figure out what was wrong with my tv speakers (which turned out to be the less expensive Roku) rather than assume and charge them for the higher priced item that wasn't functioning upon their departure. I will always go out of my way to avoid charging my guests for damage if it can be avoided in any way.
