Activities/Sports/Shopping: Beaches] - There are a number of excellent beaches within easy reach. The nearest beach is at Torre Del Mar - a long wide beach with activities and facilities. There are a number of excellent beaches at Nerja including a naturist beach. [Waterparks/Themeparks] There is a water park 20 minutes away at Torre Del Mar and there are further waterparks and themeparks near Malaga. [Watersports] - Sailing, Jet skiing, Water skiing & Windsurfing are all available at many nearby places. [Shopping] - There is a large shopping centre at Torre del Mar and the town has many good shops. There are also many excellent smaller shops at Nerja. [Alhambra at Granada] - This magnificent sight is definitely worth a visit. [Nerja Caves] - Spectacular cave complex, the best in Spain, includes concert hall. [Alpujarrás] - The setting for the popular book 'Driving over Lemons'. [Sierra Nevada] - Magnificent mountain range including ski resort. [Ronda and Seville] - quite a drive away but worth a visit. Ronda famous for its gorge and the home of Spanish bullfighting. Seville with its Moorish heritage and spectacular architecture - see the Giralda, one of the most famous buildings in Spain. Golf: There are two excellent golf courses nearby. [Baviera Golf] approximately 20 minutes away between Torre Del Mar & Velez Malaga.
