The hostess is great. Good communication. The house had everything that I needed. I did a little cooking and there was even an assortment of spices. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer since I was at the residence for 6 weeks. The yard is lovely, my dogs liked it. Also, I met some of the neighbors who were very friendly.

Perfect location

The location and neighborhood are perfect, I loved the area and felt very safe. The house could use a little TLC (and dishwasher) but was well stocked with everything we needed and the hostess was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Overall great stay and would stay there again.

Anita’s house was very clean, perfect location and had everything we could possibly need!

The house was super cozy, had everything we could possibly need, and in a very nice neighborhood. Metairie is a safe and beautiful area very close to New Orleans. We travel a lot and stay in home away and Airbnb houses. If we go back to Metairie I would definitely stay at Anita‘s house again!! Also the beds are very comfortable which is huge for me, we were there a month. The food in the area is amazing and Anita has a very helpful book of everything to do and see!!

Excellent experience!!

We were in the area for a medical stay. The hostess and host were the best!! During most of the stay it was just me and my daughter, we felt very safe in this area. The house was clean and the hostess was just a phone call away!! Beautiful back yard and plants. We enjoyed sitting outside during the evening!! The dog enjoyed the yard also!! We had a great experience!! Will stay there again if we ever have to go back to the area for a long period of time!!❤️

Family vacation

This place was wonderful. We had snacks on the counter and drinks in the frig when we arrived. The laundry room was stocked and there were plenty of towels. The home was clean and spacious. Everything is convenient to the home. We used the Uber car service to travel around town which was really easy. The owners were wonderful. We had no issues at all. We will definitely rent again.

Spectacular!

Anita was wonderful with responses and gave excellent advice for our stay in New Orleans~ Couldn't have had a better place to stay. Wonderful neighborhood, friendly neighbors and a nice fully stocked comfy, home away from home. More room than we needed, with 3 adults and 2 dogs. Czoe and Zeus absolutely loved the back yard and we had nice walks around the neighborhood. Nice being able to park under the carport and shut our vehicle inside the gate. The lighted patio was a peaceful place to hang out at night with the nice lights. Thanks Anita! If we are fortunate enough to make another trip to New Orleans, we know where we are staying!

Everything you need

This was a cozy place to stay for myself and my family. My kids enjoyed staying together in the guest room. They supplied all the necessities. We loved hanging out on the patio. My only complaint is that when we arrived there were dead bugs on the floor and the place appeared to have not been cleaned or occupied recently. I informed the host but was only offered an apology, there was no offer to have the place cleaned. My husband had to go clean the floors before I could go in with the kids which was inconvenient. Otherwise the the place was great. Great location.

I wish you had mentioned that you thought the house didn't look recently cleaned when my husband opened the house for you and walked you through it. Also, we have changed housekeepers. We reached out to our exterminator and he indicated that when places like New Orleans go through a severe drought that a few bugs always find their way in. I am so sorry for that. A Home Away From Home

Comfortable and convenient, this vintage home had most everything we needed to make our 2 month stay very pleasant. We were in the area for medical treatment and this home was within 10 minutes drive to our clinic and most other conveniences (groceries, dining, pet shop, pharmacy, very nice indoor shopping mall) all along Veterans Memorial Blvd. It’s located in a quiet, safe and friendly neighborhood which was nice for morning or evening strolls. We were there in the summer, so we stayed in the air conditioned house during the day which worked VERY well! You could even walk to the marina on Lake Pontchartrain (about 30 min or a 5 minute drive). The home has a beautiful private fenced yard with carport parking and a covered patio with lovely decorative lights and great plants/flowers. Very nice for morning coffee or hanging out in the evening. The owners are quick to respond to any questions or needs (repairs, etc.). That they love this home is obvious as it is equipped with TVs with streaming capabilities, comfortable mattresses, chairs, couch, ample towels and bedding, great shower, large refrigerator and washer/dryer. I was especially spoiled by the reverse osmosis water tap in the kitchen. I do mostly cooking from scratch and I found the various pans, mixers, blender that I needed. Even the Cuisinart coffee maker was like mine at home, only newer. No…there was no dishwasher, but I used paper plates which worked for me! You will enjoy everything about your stay here!

Excellent stay in safe and friendly neighborhood

Welcoming home with excellent amenities. Well maintained vintage appeal with comfortable furnishings. Upon arrival I felt immediately at home and could tell Bonnabel Place was a safe and family oriented neighborhood with friendly residents out biking with their children or walking their dogs. Generous hosts supply laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, and toiletries as well as other high quality amenities. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable 15 week stay. The patio is peaceful and shaded with pretty potted plants and nice patio furniture, and the yard is very well tended, very spacious, and completely fenced. Although there is no dishwasher, the kitchen is very well stocked with pots/pans, bakeware, etc. in the past I’ve traveled with my mixer and blender, but no need with this house. The reverse osmosis water filter is a great bonus as well. The hosts supplied ample amounts of bottled water but I found no need for bottles with the filtered water so easily accessible. The hosts also supplied a nice goody basket of snacks and a refrigerator stocked full of all my favorite canned seltzer waters as well as a large box of drip coffee and K cups. Often when arriving in a new place I will have a difficult time sleeping, but this was not the case here. I immediately slept as well as I do in my own home. Showering is another thing that can take some getting used to in a rental, but the water pressure is strong, the hot water endless, the bathrooms each have a hand held shower head and we’re very clean. The laundry room is well appointed with a washer and dryer as well as a drying rack. I put my three dog kennels in the laundry room (one large, one medium, one small) and had ample room to access the washer/Dryer, use the drying rack, and sit at the table or desk, or access the laundry sink. I didn’t have any issues with WiFi or cable. *I traveled for work, and close proximity to the Causeway was a major factor for me. This property is as any easy 35 minute commute to work (Mandeville) while only being a 10-15 minutes drive to the French Quarter and other popular New Orleans neighborhoods.

Very nice house in a nice neighborhood close to attractions

Very nice neighborhood. Very nice house with a VERY LARGE fenced yard for kids to run in. The ambiance is a little dated (wood paneling) but we found that charming. Two baths, two bedrooms. Fold out couch in the TV den. Owners left snacks and drinks for the taking. Have a Keurig coffee machine and left 30 or so Keurig coffee cartridges, complementary for the use of the guests. 10 minute drive to French Quarter or Tulane. 5 minute drive from restaurant row and major grocery chains. Well equipped kitchen (pots pans plates silverware cookware) to cook family meals. Met the owners, very nice people. No issues getting our security deposit back. NO DISHWASHER. I forgot to check that before we rented it. Here is the reason I didn't give 5 stars: Owners have made a reasonable attempt to supply with electronics like WiFi and two different streaming devices. But the internet service is DSL THAT CLOCKS IN AT 2 MBIT/SEC. 2. That is not a typo. If any device is streaming (Netflix, youtube), then no other device has any bandwidth left to even load a webpage. For reference, I had 10 MBIT/SEC in 1998. I just upgraded my family home from 50 MBIT/SEC to 200 MBIT/SEC. This house has 2 MBIT/SEC. In order to successfully download movies to my kids iPads for the drive home, I had to turn on cellular HotSpot on my iPhone. Which was much faster than the house connection. I don't know if this is a New Orleans thing or what. Perhaps actual high speed internet hasn't reached this part of the country yet. But 2 MBIT/SEC is unacceptable in any urban area in 2018.

Also, we found out that our Google Chromecast was affecting our internet and have since unplugged them. Perfect location, short drive to all parts city, pet friendly.

The house was spacious & comfortable, with a fenced in yard , perfect for travelling with our 2 dogs. Walking distance to the local parades during Mardi Gras and a short drive to the city. Nice outdoor seating too to enjoy the good weather. Owner very pleasant to work with for reservation and other info. We all enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

A very nice well maintained older home. More extensive supplies of paper towel, towels, toilet paper etc. than anywhere else I have stayed. The bedrooms are spacious and the yard is wonderful. About a mile from a very nice bike/jogging trail along Lake Pontchartrain with parking at the end of Bonnabel. A very quiet neighborhood. A few minor negatives - the master bedroom shower would be problematic if you are over 6 feet (there is another shower) and the dining area is a bit small. Overall, I liked the house a lot.

This house was a perfect fit for our family. Clean, comfortable and conveniently located.

We had a wonderful time staying here! There were plenty of snacks and drinks for us when we got there. Anita was very helpful and always answered any question we had in a timely manner. The rooms had extra blankets in case we needed them and the laundry room was well stocked too. This house is conveniently located near the Lakeside Mall and many restaurants. LOVED OUR STAY

Our stay was wonderful!! Anita really made us feel welcomed. The house accommodated my whole family, three adults and four children. It was clean and everything we needed was there. The location is PERFECT less than 10min to EVERYTHING. We will be returning guests. Thanks again.

Family trip for graduation.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The house is in a great location with shopping and great places to eat nearby. We were 6 adults and a 14 month baby and had pleanty room.

Great Weekend

A group of guys from work stayed here with myself for the first weekend of the Jazz Festival, and it could not have been better. The house itself is on a what I assume is a double lot with a large fenced in yard, perfect for anyone that travels with pets. It seemed like every where we went was less then 15 minutes away; the location couldn't have been better for everything we wanted to do. The owners were nice and very helpful when ever we called them for suggestions on places to see in the area, or for places to eat. The weekend went so well that several of us are talking about making this an annual trip to the Jazz festival. I would recommend this place for anyone seeing New Orleans, out of our entire group only of us had been to New Orleans before, and we felt right at home by the end of the first night.

Vacation Home

Our family stayed at this house for 5 nights and we felt at home. Clean and well maintained. I could call this my home away from home. Very good location. When my husband and I met with Anita and her husband to get the house key, we felt like we had know them for ever. We hope to be staying at this house again soon.
