Wunderliche Wohnung komplett renoviert. Das Hotel liegt in der ummauerten Gegend der Stadt und bietet ein großartiges gastronomisches und kulturelles Angebot. Es ist eine zweite Etage in einem Gebäude aus dem frühen zwanzigsten Jahrhundert. Es besteht aus 70 m2 in voll ausgestatteter Küche mit Balkon mit Blick auf die Plaza del Obispo, Bad, Wohnzimmer mit Schlafsofa und Balkon mit Blick auf die Calle Mayor, Zimmer mit Doppelbett und ein weiteres Zimmer mit Ausziehbett ( 2 Einheiten) Bettwäsche und Handtücher inklusive.

This is a great and scenic place to stay. A good atmosphere in the old town with lots of places to eat good food within walking distance. The host is brilliant and available when needed.

Wonderful experience in beautiful old Hondarribia. Alvaro was the perfect host who helped us with our luggage, escorted us to the apartment. He also gave us suggestions for restaurants in the area and that the best way to travel to San Sebastián is by bus. I highly recommend this appartment.

Lovely apartment in historic Hondarribia!

The apartment is in the middle of the old town of Hondarribia and a short walk from lots of lovely bars and restaurants, not to mention some beautiful beaches and sights along the coast. Alvaro (our host) was charming and very helpful with lots of local recommendations and advice. Can't recommend this place too highly!

Wonderful!

Our stay was wonderful. Upon arrival we were shown where to park and received assistance with our luggage and a short tour of the apartment. The apartment itself was very clean and perfect for our family. We loved the quiet location with wonderful cafes and restaurant minutes away. We would definitely stay here again for any return trips!

Wonderful stay in Hondarribia

Everything was perfect with our stay in Hondarribia. The apartment's location is great, with easy access to everything you might want to see in Hondarribia. Alvaro was great and he helped us with parking, making us comfortable at the home during check-in, and being always available to provide recommendations for things to do in the area. We would love to stay at the apartment again if the opportunity were to come up.

Beautiful flat in a great location

Our stay in Hondarribia was our favorite. The flat is updated, very clean, and comfortable. We loved being right in the middle of this adorable town. Alvaro was also an amazing host and gave us restaurant and attraction recommendations. We really enjoyed taking the bus to San Sebastián for the day (20 minute ride). We already want to return for a second visit.

This place is great. Hondarribia is terrific... so many fun things to do and eat! The location of this apartment, inside the walled city, is perfect. A Medieval Oasis

Alvaro was a wonderful host during our 5-night stay. Helped us with our luggage from our rendezvous point. He was super attentive via WhatsApp and gave us great dining and sightseeing recommendations. The property was well appointed and charming. Superb Apartment!

We stayed here for a week to explore the Basque country. It is a great place witg most sights a reasonable drive away. The apartment was superb and tastefully furnished. We found the whole place a great place to stay and the comfort of the apartment was great. The location is central and plenty to do within walking distance. We hired a car from the airport and there was a free car park 2 minutes away. Alvaro was extremely helpful and made sure we enjoyed our time there. I would thoroughly recommend the apartment!

Spacious historical apt with great balcony

We loved our stay in Alvaro’s historic apartment! He was a great communicator from booking on, and took care of many extras for us. Free parking is very close. We knew the 2nd floor walk up would be hard with our luggage, so Alvaro met and helped us, and arranged for a taxi with a driver who did the same. The location is perfect and we easily walked all over, and were able to drive to other towns in Basque Spain and France. The apartment is nicely laid out, with a large living room and spacious kitchen. The shower is good and linens nice cotton. We appreciated the welcome Basque cider and coffee. The bedroom have hanging and folded space, making our stay easy. My favorite part has to be the front balcony with its cafe table and chairs. I loved morning coffee and evening wine and cheese with its magical view. We’d certainly return and truly appreciate Alvaro’s help and care!

Wonderful time in Hondaribbia

Alvaro's place is in an amazing location. Even without going into the town (which is walkable) , there are several bars and restaurants just a few steps away, including a lovely courtyard in which to have drinks and pintxos. The apartment is well equipped with everything we could have needed. The bed was very comfy. Alvaro was a wonderful communicator. At the beginning of our stay he met us in the carpark and showed us around the property and gave us tips on things to do. He was available for any questions we had throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this property.

Extremely good 2nd floor apartment situated in the Medieval Quarter of Hondarribia

Surprise and Delight

Oh, the vagaries of making a quick booking under pressure, on the mobile app without prescription glasses! My Search was originally San Sebastian - in the Old Town. This certainly ticked the box for Old Town but in Hondarribia. What a delight! Charming property in an historic setting, newly refurbished, and our home from home for a long weekend - with the added bonus of neighbouring France just a short walk and ferry-ride away. Easy bus journey into San Sebastian - just ideal for our needs. Our Host Alvaro was attentive and generous - nothing was too much trouble.

Great location, and well-appointed space!

We loved the location of this apartment. Within a few blocks there are many restaurants, little grocery stores, parks, and beautiful views of the river dividing Spain from France, and of course, the ocean. The apartment had many wonderful touches, a washing machine, a deck to hang them out to dry, and little convenience items in the kitchen. There were even great travel books available to read up on the area! The owner was most gracious and accommodating and quick to respond with any question we had! He was ready to explain how to get around the area, such as where the bus stop was and how to get over to San Sebastian. We originally wanted to stay in San Sebastian, but found this place simply charming! We would definitely like to stay here again if we come back to the area.

The perfect place to stay in Hondarribia

We came across an article in ‘Traveller’ which led us to choose Hondarribia as our base instead of San Sebastián. We were glad we made this choice for a number of reasons, and one of them was Alvaro’s apartment. In short, there was not one thing that we did not like about the apartment. It was clean, comfortable and attractively decorated. We have also come to know that your apartment choice is a good one when it is stocked with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and then there are a few thoughtful things added. In this case a bowl of chocolates, a bottle of cider and a Nespresso machine with a generous supply of pods - this is not a limited list and it is the kind of thing that goes beyond what you might hope or expect of your host. The apartment is located in the most attractive street in the Old Town and is in easy walking distance of the area that has most of the pintxos bars and restaurants - although make sure you visit Gastroteka Donantzat which is just around the corner. Parking is free and just outside the gate that leads into the street where the apartment is located. We left our car there for the whole time we were in Hondarribia as we could walk everywhere we wanted to go in the town and it was much easier to catch the bus to San Sebastián. The final word of this review must go to Alvaro who was an exceptional host. He met us at the arranged place promptly, guided us to the carpark, transferred our luggage to his car and gave us an orientation tour of the town. He was always easy to contact and was just so charming and friendly. So stay in Hondarribia and stay in Alvaro’s apartment for a truly wonderful stay.

Altstadt plus hervorragend sanierte Wohnung

Die Wohnung liegt in der autofreien Altstadt von Hondarribia . Sie entspricht allen Anforderungen , ist hervorragend saniert , stilvoll eingerichtet und die teilweise 500 Jahre alte Holzdielen sorgen für ein nicht alltägliches Gefühl . Der Vermieter ist ruhig , hilfsbereit und sehr angenehm . Quintessenz : uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert !
