Es ist schwer zu sagen, wo der Himmel und die Berge enden und wo die Villa Nirvana (Himmel) in diesem modernen Haus aus der Mitte des Jahrhunderts beginnt, das fĂŒr ein heiteres, modernes Bergleben komponiert wurde.

Die Villa Nirvana befindet sich auf einer Höhe von 900 m auf einem Hektar unberĂŒhrter WĂ€lder und harmoniert mit der lebendigen Natur und dem unendlichen Himmel im Freien.

Genießen Sie Ihren Kaffee morgens in einer Oase mit raffiniertem Stil im Sun Room und genießen Sie den weiten Blick auf die Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina und die Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, 100 km entfernt. Am Abend können Sie eine köstliche Mahlzeit in unserer voll ausgestatteten PantrykĂŒche oder auf dem Gas-Barbie draußen auf dem Sky Deck zubereiten. Perfect Vacation house

This is our second trip. The house and host could not be any more accommodating! Everything you could possibly need is in the house and the host is very receptive including the warm welcome of a bottle of wine and thank you note. Amazing views great location

What a lovely place! so cozy and welcoming. The layout of the home and the beds were perfect. I liked the fireplace, we were able to watch movies in one living room while others could sit in the other living room with the beautiful mountain views. The bathroom has a heater so you dont get chilly while drying off. The retro style is super cool and loved how things were organized and labeled. So happy we chose to stay here.

30th Wedding Anniversary

Property was true to the listing. The view from the deck is absolutely amazing. We stayed for seven days. If you plan properly and stock up on supplies, you'd never have to leave the place with the views and amenities located in the house. Lots of older magazines to peruse and such a chic vibe with all the decorating and furniture. The place is so relaxing and inviting.Although we could have been perfectly content never leaving the premises... the wife and dog did some hiking at Dupont State Forest while I explored the park on my mountain bike. On the bike... Rocky Ridge, Big Rock, and Ridgeline trails are must do rides. If you only have time for one ride, hit Ridgeline. That trail is like riding a Speeder Bike on Endor. We also visited some waterfalls at the Park. The Park is about 20 minutes away.We also enjoyed the attached tiny neighboring property on the table by the grill on the deck. "Villa Squirrelvana" is highly entertaining. Just set a few peanuts (provided by the host) on the table, go inside the house, and wait. It doesn't take long for the squirrels to arrive.

Villa Nirvana is a great place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. The house is perfect for two couples or a single couple with two kids. Beds were very comfortable, and the home is well-equipped to meet any needs. In fact, of the recent rentals we've had, this house was better appointed than all of those homes. The view is fantastic and we spent a lot of time on the deck sipping coffee and and enjoying idle conversation. The house is not far from Hendersonville, which has a great downtown, and the access road to the home was paved and easy to negotiateIf you want to get away to the mountains and have a relaxing stay, Villa Nirvana won't disappoint. We plan to stay again next year.

Villa Nirvana exceeded our expectations. The views from the wrap-around deck were postcard perfect. The house is at the top of a mountain ridge, and there’s only one other house on that part of the road, so it feels secluded. We’ve had cabins in the Smoky Mountains and we’ve vacationed in the Alps, and the views and sunrises/sunsets from Villa Nirvana are equally as spectacular if not superior to those. The varying hues of blue with each successive mountain range are a sight to behold, especially with the brilliant coral of the rising or setting sun illuminating them. A huge bonus was the mud-century modern aesthetic of the home. The homeowners have taken great care to decorate the home consistent with that style, and it greatly enhances the experience. There’s a lot to do in the surrounding towns from outdoor adventures to historic sites, the arts, and shopping, but we were reluctant to leave Villa Nirvana and all it has to offer.

Staying here was just perfect for my husband and me. The house was bright and cheery, decorated in with all Mid-Century Modern furniture and amenities. Life, Look, and Saturday Evening Post period magazines were fun to browse through. This cabin’s main attraction, though, is the wrap around deck and screened porch. The panoramic view is truly amazing. Barbara, the hostess, was very responsive to my questions. 10 stars out of 10!

Totally fine for us, and I'm sure some people would love it

The house was nice, but definitely musty/moldy smelling if you're sensitive to that. There wasn't anywhere to take a walk from the house without driving. The view from the deck is spectacular, with neighbors on either side. The deck didn't seem safe for younger kids, and the railing was wobbly (not a problem for us, just a heads-up for families). The decor is nice. I could see this place being a great fit for some people, maybe if you're throwing a dinner party or weekend with that kind of vibe. We ended up leaving early since we live in the area and weren't enjoying it more than a weekend at home. Hosts didn't do anything wrong, and the listing was accurate, we just realized that for a mountain stay to be nice for us, we want walks from the house, a nice bathtub or hot tub, and fresh air.

Great Place!

I would give this property 20 stars if I could. It is absolutely beautiful. The view is amazing and never gets old. The kitchen is well stocked. Everything was super clean. This was a very comfortable place to stay. The location was good for us. We did a lot of hiking so some days we had a longer drive than others. It was always nice to come back, relax, put something on the grill for dinner and enjoy a glass of wine. Barbara's communication was great. Directions and check in/out was easy. There was a lot of information on things to do in the area. We will definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful view

This is our third time staying here and, as usual, the house is a fun 50’s decor with a gorgeous view. The owner has made it very easy to stay and enjoy.

Since 1984, I have lived in a 1947 deco house on the water in Miami Beach. I love my work as a Screenwriting Professor at the University of Miami in Coral Gables. Thus, Villa Nirvana has a definite movie theme as you will find when you stay there! Film is a passion, and so is house design. I really enjoyed renovating Villa Nirvana, transforming it into a setting that is akin to that in the TV series Madmen. I took out the shag carpet and put down hickory hand scraped floors, painted the dark walls translucent blue, and even bought furniture from the same antique store where the set designers for Madmen shopped. Villa Nirvana is about Mid-Century Modern art and furniture. Everything I acquired for the house is something I fell in love with, from the Atomic Salt and Pepper shakers to the Piazza Snow Couch. But mostly, the mountain view is something I want EVERYONE to see. It is like an incredible priceless painting. You never get tired of staring at the layers and layers of mountains, with smoky clouds like frosting in the morning. I was dumbstruck by the year round unobstructed view. And facing north, I loved that I could see the sunrise in the morning from the Master Bedroom, and gaze at the sunset in the evening from the Sun Room. Not to mention, eat chips and dip with friends in the covered porch when it is raining. To quote Simon and Garfunkel, the Sounds of Silence in the mountains is something that was miraculous to me, after living on Miami Beach where it is never quiet with the party-goers on South Beach, airplanes overhead, and jet skiers on the water. As a writer, Villa Nirvana nurtured my creativity. J.K. Rowling says that her books do not pop up like mushrooms, but at Villa Nirvana, my creative flow streams much faster and easier than in Miami. I hope to write a blockbuster there! Or, maybe I will just kick back on the Sky Deck and watch the sun go down....

For most of my life, I have lived in the tropics in Singapore, Bangkok and Hawaii. (Yes, I surfed and did the hula.) My saying used to be: You can take the girl out of the island, but you cannot take the island out of the girl! That was until I visited one of my best friends in Hendersonville, NC and her mountain top home. I fell hard that trip, for the breathtaking view of the sunrise and sunset over the mountains, for the clouds rolling in over the valley below, for precious moments shared with my friends on their porch, sharing a glass of wine at sunset, and for the genuine beauty of the people of Western North Carolina. I could not get enough of shopping with my friend for the savory produce at the Farmers Markets. And the antiques, art, music, and food in Hendersonville and Asheville. I could not survive in a place without food; I mean GREAT FOOD. This place has it! So I found myself searching out a home where I could sit and gape at the mountains all day and drink in the beauty, noshing on a sweet mountain apple. I found it on my second day. I stepped onto the Sky Deck of Villa Nirvana and said: This is it. This is my home, and I want to share it with my friends, family, and people who love the mountains, who love tranquility and serenity, who love convening over food with friends in a spectacular setting like I do. As a screenwriter, I found the perfect place to write and create. If you are an artist or creative, this place is IT for inspiration! If you just want a great vacation away from it all, where silence is the predominant sound, then this place will seduce you into a state of nirvana. With one of my Vassar College sisters, I designed Villa Nirvana to be sleek and sophisticated, chic and fun. No granny quilts here! Rather, there is colorful Mid-Century art, vintage Danish designed furniture, even a record player to dance to on the orange mod rug! I am so excited about opening my heavenly home to guests!
