Great Location

We loved our stay. The condo was very well equipped for cooking. Close to drive to the beaches and as well as Waimea for the farmer's markets. Able to walk to some restaurants and the grocery store. Beautiful sunset views from the big lanai. Would stay again!

The condo was better than advertised with all the amenities plus the kitchen was well supplied. Quiet and relaxing and close to excellent beaches. Would definitely stay there again plus the owner was a great communicator!

Great central location

Very clean property, great property manager, and centrally located to most destinations. I was there for work, so didn’t have much downtime to enjoy all the property had to offer, but the grounds were well manicured and clean.

Location, location, location.

This is the place to visit the whole island from. I have stayed in Kona and Hilo but this is the most convenient to visit the Kohala region and Waimea.

Our stay at Waikoloa Villas

This was our second time staying there. It is very comfortable. I was originally worried about not having AC, but we did not need it. We used the beach chairs and the hot tub almost every day. We hope to stay there again!

Wonderful

The condo was perfect. The lanai was big and the view was beautiful. It was a very quiet place to stay at, except for the turkeys and roosters in the morning, haha. It was better than noisy traffic and people. Kerrie was very easy to get a hold of and very helpful. It was very much appreciated. We loved our stay there and will definitely stay again.

A very nice place to stay

My partner and I spent a very pleasant four nights in Waikoloa Village. The unit has two spacious bedrooms, a comfortable living room, well stocked kitchen, and a lanai that looks out over a golf course. It was a great escape from the crowds and chaos of Kailua-Kona where we have stayed in the past. A shopping center with a supermarket and several small eating establishments is within walking distance. A 30 minute drive takes you to Waimea, with multiple farmers markets and perhaps the best restaurant on the island, Merriman’s. We will be back.

very nice, clean condo with well stocked kitchen. Beautiful, quiet, non touristy location with easy axcess to the best parts of the island. Only drawbasck is lack of restaurants close by. I always stay in this area when visiting Hawaii Island and would stay in this condo again.

Exactly what we wanted

The condo was exactly as described and was exactly what we wanted. There was an adequate supply of towels and beach goodies and a kitchen full of plates, bowls, pots, pans, etc. The washer/dryer was nice to have as well. Wi-Fi was not working for us on two of our three days there, but we were out and about mostly so it really didn’t impact us.

Home away from home

We enjoyed our stay, our condo was stocked with all the usual items plus more! We arrived late at night, and found that the condo was prepped for our arrival. There were lights on so we could find our way around and a lovely fruit bowl waiting. During our stay we did not have to purchase paper towel, toilet paper, or trash bags... a real bonus when you are travelling. The kitchen provided a large inventory of spices and all the basics needed for preparing a meal. We enjoyed the sunsets, the pool and walking in the evening. The location is great. We highly recommend staying in waikoloa villas.

Better than advertised. Best location on the Big Island!!

Look no furthe!!. Great place!! Great price! I am a suoerhost myself (with the competing vacation rental website) ....therefore know the difference. The place was very clean, neat and the hosts were professional and accommodating (all of which are a very rare on the Big Island) in every way. The location was fantastic. Walk to dinner and shops. On 9th hole of a fantastic golf course. Pool and hot tub were fantastic...super clean. Would recommend Highly. Best place I have stayed in Hawaii. Thank you Den and Sylivie. I will return.

Strategic location, great owner/manager

It was overall a great experience. The property was exactly as presented and strategically located to fully exploit some of the best resources in the Big Island. The property was fully equipped with all the necessary and everything was functional and properly working (the WIFI in general worked well but had a troubled day at the end of our stay). The house does not have AC, but it is extremely well ventilated and we always, day and night, felt fully comfortable temperature wise. Communication with and assistance by the owner was always top level. We surely would come back again in the future if we will be vacationing in the Big Island again.

Really Great !!!

We enjoyed our stay at Denis and Sylvia's condo. It had the feeling of home away from home. We were traveling as two couples, and the condo accommodated our needs with a loft bedroom upstairs with a bathroom and another room downstairs with a separate bathroom. We especially loved sitting out on the lanai in the mornings and enjoying the beautiful scenery and the sounds of birds. Even though there was no air conditioning, it is true that the trade-wind breezes and fans throughout the condo do the trick and make it comfortable. It was also convenient to the popular beaches such as Hapuna, Maunea Kea and Beach 69. The condo was affordable and really made the trip possible in the first place. We have stayed at other more expensive condos closer to the water and really felt we were not missing out at all staying at this condo, it was really just as nice and just as convenient to the beaches that we love. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely condo with us.

Delightful Condo

Our family visits the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii every summer, but we have never stayed in Waikoloa before. Sylvia was so friendly and helpful in convincing me that this was the right place for our vacation this time - and she was right! I took my 16-year-old niece and her friend for a last-minute adventure before school starts. Sylvia and Denis were so accommodating with our short timeline for making reservations, and things couldn't have gone more smoothly. The condo was exactly as described in the photos. The girls loved the huge TV and the comfy sofas! This location was perfect - amazing sunsets and cool breezes. We were never too hot, and that's saying a lot for August! The best beaches are 15 minutes away, and that paid off when trying to get there early enough to beat the crowds. The pool area was beautiful and never anyone else there. Although we've stayed at several other homes on the Big Island, the all-around advantages that this location offers can't be beat. We hope to stay here again in the near future.

Good location

Pros: The condo grounds are well maintained. The shared grills and pool are nearby. There were lots of beach supplies available for use. The condo location is as described. The tv was updated and the beds were comfortable. Cons: The master bedroom is a loft. In the photo of the master, where the thin curtains are drawn is actually an open space looking over the kitchen and family room area. The master “bedroom” has very little privacy and you can hear everything happening down below or up above. The condo lanai is a lovely size, however, the carpet and furniture are dated and falling apart. The chairs look like they were inherited from a cat owner who smoked. The lanai has not been renovated. The condo was uncomfortably warm at times even with the trade winds. Additional portable fans available for use might be helpful.

Excellent experience

This condo is much better in real life than the photos can show. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms—one of each downstairs and upstairs. The master bedroom is open to the living room below and although there is no A/C, the fans and open plan made it very comfortable. It’s located on a golf course with amenities such as hot tubs, pools, tennis courts, etc. that you can access if you desire. The complex is located very close to a gas station, grocery store, bank and a few restaurants. Otherwise, it’s approximately 10 minutes to the highway. With the exception of the wild turkeys and birds in the morning, the complex is quiet. The check-in and out process is very easy. Kerrie was very responsive when there was a problem with the downstairs toilet making loud noises and they fixed the problem right away even though it was the New Years holidays. We really appreciated the fruit bowl, bottled waters, and the book of instructions waiting for us after such a long trip. The kitchen is the best equipped that I’ve experienced in rental properties. The only tiny drawback was that the curtains leading outside to the patio are sheer, so if you’re upstairs in the master bedroom with those sheer curtains, remember that you’re visible. This rental and the service provided far exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it.

I have been a Property Manager with Lava Rock Realty since 2015. Prior to obtaining my real estate license, I worked as a Controller and provided accounting services for a couple of local property management companies. After 25 years behind a desk, it was time to get out and enjoy all that Hawaii has to offer.

My husband and I moved to Hawaii from Alaska in 2007 once our son enlisted in the United States Navy. We decided it was time for a warmer adventure!

During my time in Alaska, while earning my BA in Accounting from the University of Alaska Anchorage, I worked in all aspects of accounting for a world class ski resort. After receiving my degree, I was promoted as a Controller for a 5-star hotel in Anchorage.

Being in the hospitality industry for the past 28 years, I have learned how to provide all my guests with excellent service. I enjoy welcoming back all my returning guests and meeting all the new guests that will be staying with me.
