Barfuß Daze House hat alles !!! Weniger als 4 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand! Erster Stock - privates Hauptschlafzimmer mit Sitzecke, Gaskamin und eigenem Hauptbad. Haupt-Schlafzimmer hat einen eigenen Eingang zum Hof ​​Pool-Bereich zurück. Im ersten Stock gibt es auch eine eigene Miniküche mit Eismaschine, Kühlschrank, 32-Zoll-Flachbildfernseher und Mikrowelle. Die zweite Etage verfügt über drei Schlafzimmer, alle mit Flachbildfernseher. Eines ist ein zweites Hauptschlafzimmer mit einem kompletten eigenen Bad, einem Kingsize-Bett und einem eigenen Eingang zum Deck der zweiten Ebene. Das dritte Schlafzimmer hat eine Königin mit eigenem Eingang zur zweiten Ebene Deck. Das vierte Schlafzimmer ist ein Zweibettzimmer über einem vollen Etagenbett. Es gibt ein komplettes Badezimmer im Flur in der zweiten Etage. Für 8 Erwachsene bequem. Im obersten Stockwerk können Sie in der voll ausgestatteten Küche mit Küchengeräten aus Edelstahl und Granitoberflächen im ganzen Haus kochen. Barefoot Daze was exactly as described. The house was very clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. There were a lot of beach accessories in the outside shed to take to the beach. The pool and hot tub made for some wonderful nights of sitting in the back yard with the family talking and swimming. Very short, easy walk to the beach. I would have no hesitation to rent this house again for our next trip to the Outer Banks.

The home was beautiful accommodating and clean.

It was a week of reuniting family and friends. Everyone enjoyed their stay, the beach, pool and hot tub! We even enjoyed the thunderstorms that came through that lightening looked like a fireworks show. There was everything you'd need for a relaxing vaca!

Came down for my mother's retirement trip and this exceeded our expectations. Easy communication for checkin as well as during our stay. Short walk to an amazing beach, the backyard was perfect, the pool was nice and the hot tub was a life saver. The only thing I want to let people to know is if you have bad knees this house might not be for you, the kitchen and living room is on the third floor and some people in our party did not like that, me personally I did not care, but just something people should be aware of

Family Fun in Kitty Hawk NC ! ! !

The pool - great! Proximity to ocean - greater! Ocean Blvd, Wink's and Art's Place in downtown Kitty Hawk - Greatest! Of course the ocean, beach and weather were fabulous! The grand kids and adults enjoyed all the amenities of the home. Would definitely stay again!

Overall Great Stay!

The location of this house was wonderful!!! Quick and easy walk to the beach. We loved the hot tub since it wasn't quite warm enough for the pool. My biggest complaint is there was pet hair all over the floors, so just something to note if your group has any pet allergies. Plenty of parking. It could just be my prior experiences but it did kind of stink having to make our beds. I also wonder if the comforters are also washed regularly since we are instructed to leave those on the bed. Overall really enjoyed our stay here and we would definitely stay here again.

Amazing obx vacation

This was both families first trip to the Outer Banks and it did not disappoint. The house is exactly as described. Very clean. Had everything we would need to go to the beach with, including chairs a cooler and toys for the younger kids. Enough space for all 9 of us. Would definitely book again!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay in Kitty Hawk. Great location, short walk to the beach, the road around isn’t too busy. The house is very nice. Lots of steps, 3 floors, so be prepared for that. My mother is 77, but she was able to do them. The bicycles were great, my son and I enjoyed a ride every evening. The pool area is just the perfect size. Beds were comfortable, kitchen has everything we needed.

Highly Recommend!

Our family so enjoyed staying at Barefoot Daze this past week! The house is beautifully decorated and was spotlessly clean. It is a short 3-5 minute stroll to the beach, which is wide and inviting at this part of Kitty Hawk. The location is close to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Communication with Mike, the owner, was seamless - he always responded within the day. I can highly recommend this property for a wonderful week at the Outer Banks!

Great time!

This home was perfect for a big group of friends and our children. They house had everything you could need, pool toys/floats, beach toys, chairs, bikes, shop vac for sand, huge ice maker, extra refrigerators. There were extra beds that we weren’t expecting (twin fold up, couch pull out and full in the sunroom). One thing the house did not have dish towels in the kitchen. Walkable to the beach and close to stores and restaurants. We noticed a lot of white dog hair throughout the house and the vaccum cleaner did not work very well. Overall we had a great time!!

I have never had to put linens on a bed in any of the rental properties I’ve ever stayed in or put towels in the bathroom until this place.There was dog hair all over the place and we did not bring dogs. My husband found a roach. Unimpressed. The location to the beach is nice but next door to the south is a rundown shed someone is living in.

Great house, great location, cleanliness is an issue

Great house & location. The owners have gone to a lot of effort and expense to make this house a great place to stay. However the cleanliness of the house was very dissappointing. Also be aware if you have small children that the gate on the back deck has openings large enough for a small child to fall or climb through.

Worst Vacation Stay

We didn't have hot water for days, the door locked was broken on the day we checked in (security issue), roaches, the room with bunk beds smelled like sewage (unusable), their pool guard system was broken (security issue). When we contacted the property manager, Mike, instead of coming over to manage the plumber and handyman, he asked us to do that. One of us have to stay back instead of enjoying our vacation. We paid thousands of dollars for this property. We asked Mike to give us some kind of compensation for our time and grief. His response is the owners are on vacation and we issue refunds after the 14 to 16 days after the owners payout. He needs to contact them first. It is hard to believe with technology that the owners can't read emails overseas. Mike said he will get back to me and he never did! This property is a scam! The pool bar, BBQ grill and inside the house were dirtyyyyyyy and had roaches. Worth Vacation Stay EVERRRRR! Don't waste your money.

We are committed to providing a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for all our guests. Regarding the issues you listed in your review: Hot Water: Our maintenance team responded promptly, installed a brand new tankless water heater system, and restored the hot water in less than 24 hours. Door Lock: our maintenance team replaced the lock within two hours of your arrival and confirmed the new lock to be functioning correctly. Cleanliness and Pests: Our property undergoes regular professional cleaning and pest control. The property was cleaned a mere two hours prior to your arrival. Pest control is preventative and is on a monthly schedule to ensure no interruptions to our guest schedule. We have no prior or post reports of any cleanliness or pest issues. Pool Guard System: Our pool safety systems are inspected weekly, in between each stay, and were found to be in working order during your stay. Management Response: Our property manager, Mike, addressed your concerns promptly and followed-up as agreed. We understand that sometimes things don't go as planned, and we are always glad to hear from guests when a genuine issue arises. However, it appears there is a misunderstanding. We have documented communications showing multiple requests for compensation were made despite our immediate resolution of issues with the hot water and door lock. This is a retaliatory reviews and VRBO has been notified. We appreciated the report of the two genuine issues, and the opportunity to remedy these concerns. Future owners: We reviewed this guest before we received the report from housekeeping with additional charges and pictures of the aftermath. (They would of received a 1 star. We assumed with amount of communication they would not purposely have left this property in such poor condition. So future owners and PM beware) Upon your departure we found the state of the property to be deplorable. The owners closet is clearly labeled, locked, and not for guest access. Upon your departure it was found to have been opened forcefully, and our owners’ private supplies removed. Trash and food waste was strewn throughout this beautiful property, in all the rooms. The custom sunshade blinds were physically torn down from the wall leaving drywall damage in Master bedroom, and no way to remedy for our next guest stay. The drywall in our stairwell was also damage and wall paint was chipped from the wall. Our cleaning crew spent an 90 additional minutes at this property to remediate the mess. We have been in contact with VRBO regarding compensation for the damages and additional cleaning. We will not host your family/friend group again at any of our properties.

Great home but a lot of work

This is a great home. Plenty of space, outdoor space is amazing, location to beach is really close and great sunrise and sunset views from the decks. There is some maintenance needed between stays. There was an awesome freezer in the outside bar but it wasn't actually cold enough and was filled with dirty water. The grill works great but has no cover so had water in it, and initially had an empty propane tank and was covered in cobwebs. Also the listing advertised linens included, but this meant the linens are rented and you need to make all the beds when you get there. In our case the rental company messed up and the linens weren't there. The property manager was very responsive and got it resolved, but it still meant we could only start making the beds, showering, etc at 9pm. Also, as advertised you need to supply your own soap, paper products, etc. We've stayed in houses where this was the case but many things had been left by others, but not here. You really need to do a major Walmart shop to set up the house. It's great there are five bathrooms and three showers, but you'll need to go buy hand soap, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc for each bathroom if you want to use them, and also try to spread out the few rented towels across all the bathrooms, or get your own towels. Similarly in the kitchen, you'll need to buy garbage bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap, sponges, tin foil, etc. Overall, great house and management but setup is lacking.

Dog hair covered house

House was nice, but covered in pet hair. We arrived early due to an incoming storm and messaged the manager to see if we could check in early. He said cleaning should be complete between 2-3 due to a late check out and we could go in then. Cleaning was not complete until after 4pm (check in time) so we had to sit in the driveway and wait. Property is listed as no pets and several family members (including 3 kids) are allergic to dogs. We rent a home every year and have never had this issue. I communicated the issue on the first day to the property manager and he said he was sorry and could have the cleaning lady come vacuum. I had already vacuumed by the time he responded. The vacuum was left by the cleaning lady with a canister full of dog hair, after I vacuumed the canister was full again. Dog hair was throughout the entire property, including piles under the beds. I again let the property manager know that the dog hair was a problem as it was everywhere and several family members were having allergies. He let me know it was the owners dog and the owner had been there making repairs. He also stated that we were the first guests of the season, which did not align with the previous late check out message. With the amount of dog hair everywhere, this property needs to include a clear message that people with pet allergies should not rent this property. If the owner can’t respect guests time or health, this shouldn’t be a vacation rental.

Our sincere apologies for the pet hair, and as you mentioned in your review, we did offer numerous times to send our cleaning staff back to the house to clean more thoroughly. For future rentals (and others reading this review) Our properties are advertised as “not allowing pets”, but NOT as “pet free”. For those with severe allergies, such as your family members experience, it is important to note the state of North Carolina strictly enforces vacation property rental laws which state properties cannot restrict stays for, nor discriminate against, those with service animals. We allow service animals in our properties, by law. We enjoyed hosting you!

Loved this house

This house had everything and anything we could have wanted. We were so close to the beach. I loved having a bathroom outside for when we were swimming in the pool. The over all feel of the house was so welcoming and comfortable and we loved the decor. I can't say enough. They thought of everything with this house.

We thought the property was good. Disconnect with manager regarding bed linens and checking in process. Also the 1st rental ever that we needed to bring paper products(yep toilet paper too), paper towels, dish soap...We were fortunate to drive, so able to purchase and bring the necessities..

Great family getaway

A short walk to a beautiful beach, wide open with great surf and sand. The house was cozy and comfortable inside, with a small but refreshing pool in the backyard. Everything we needed for a great family getaway!

Mini getaway

All the family really enjoyed the location ,beach was a five minute walk away ,plenty of shops and places to eat. The beds slept really good and all you needed in the kitchen.Only thing that was needed was the bike tires need air but everything else was what we expected.

Great Stay

Our friend group just wrapped up a weekend stay at Barefoot Daze. It was fantastic....house was clean, plenty of refrigerator space, ice machine was great for making drinks, hot tub & pool were clean and it's a close walk to the beach. The backyard is great for being outside & enjoying the weather. It's also really close to getting on/off the island and reasonably close to everything in town. Out only request would have been linens (I may have missed that when coordinating this house) but overall that didn't take away from a great weekend.

Nice house with many ammenities

We had a lovely stay at this beach house. Nice space for many to sleep and hang out. The kitchen is a bit on the smaller side and it would’ve been nice if there was even a starter roll of paper towels, toilet paper or hand soap. We flew in and I had to spend half a morning shopping for towels, aluminum foil, etc. It was a waste of money because I had to buy many things that I then had to leave behind. Would’ve loved some chairs on driveway side porches as that is where the sunsets and we wanted to sit out to enjoy but had to drag kitchen chairs outside. Otherwise, a lovely home as advertised.

This house is very nicely decorated with modern furniture and appliances. The bright colors inside and the detail of stain glass in the kitchen cabinet and doors. The 1st floor master bedroom suite is large with a private sun room. There is also a mini kitchen and seating area outside of master bedroom suite.

The back yard is like being at a resort. A large tiki bar with TV, built-in cooler. Bathroom, shower, and changing room. Do not forget about the 6 person hot tub. If you like to grill there is a gas grill near the pool area. The area is quiet and away from busy traffic and just a quick block away from the beach.
