Casa do Alto is an old renovated stone farmhouse which is nestled in the hillside of the Cavado river valley.
It also has a large secluded private swimming pool with a magnificent view over the orchard which includes a wide variety of fruit trees such as orange, lemon, tangerine, kaki, apple, pear, fig, cherry, kiwi, grapes, apricot, peach, plum and many others.
Other points of interest are the two full outdoor kitchens with barbecue, one by the poolside and the other next to a large stone table in the shade of an oak. The latter also includes a log oven.

Exquisite views from all sides and a part of the old Roman road into Braga is right on the back doorstep. The stone “eira” (or patio where they used to dry cereals) is one of the largest in the Minho area (484 m2) and many memorable events have taken place within this large area.
The perfect quiet place to stay as a base to tour around this area of Portugal or just chill out and relax within the grounds of the property itself (1 hectare) either in the surrounding garden, which includes a small wooded area with oaks, cork oaks, sweet chestnuts amongst many other varieties of trees.
