We had a wonderful stay. The home was great, well-equipped and located in a secure, gated neighborhood. The host was fantastic and very responsive throughout our visit. The location is ideal, with plenty of nearby options for dining and shopping. We especially enjoyed the pool and even got to see monkeys while relaxing there. Highly recommend this listing.

Our stay here was amazing!!! Our host, Rebecca, went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. She is very responsive and answers messages quickly. Everything you could possibly need was provided. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean. We saw so many animals while we sat by the pool! Lizards, monkeys, toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, and even a sloth!!! Pura Vida!

Rebecca was a superb host. She told us everything we needed to know about the house, things to do, and good restaurants. The house was perfect for our seven person family. Perhaps most surprising was how much willdlife we saw from the house. The back deck and pool featured nearby visits from a sloth, spider monkeys, squirrel monkeys, a basilick, a toucan, macaws, agoutis, and our resident iguana, Philip.Also unexpected was security in the gated community was provided by Lesber, from a small hut directly across from the house. Lesber was very pleasant and helped us spot wildlife! Highly recommended. PS. You will need a car or convenient ubers to go to the beach or park. Difficult to walk on the roads without sidewalks.

Fantastic house & owner

The property is lovely, the pool was fantastic. This was our favorite accommodation on our trip. We saw monkeys, sweet neighborhood dogs, lizards, and hummingbirds while we sat on the back porch.Rebecca was fantastic. This house is clean, spacious, quiet, and safe. My kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. The most amazing part of our stay was seeing a pack of squirrel monkeys while we were swimming, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We didn’t even see squirrel monkeys on any of our animal tours, so this was incredibly special.The host, Rebecca, was extremely responsive and helpful. When we discovered the stove wasn’t working, she immediately came to replace the propane tank. After I noticed a few bugs in the house, she brought plug-in bug repellents, and we didn’t see any more bugs afterward.I also asked if she had a scale so we could weigh our luggage after doing a lot of shopping, and she brought one the very next day, which was a huge help.Overall, this is a beautiful home with an outstanding host. I would highly recommend staying here!

Great House

House was perfect, secluded and quite in a gated neighborhood. House was extremely well provisioned, great pool and patio, and tons of wildlife in the surrounding forest. Common areas were perfect for our family and location was within walking distance of stores and short drives to local activities.

Love this place!

The house is spacious. All the rooms have a bathroom off them. Plus an extra full bathroom. The kitchen walks out to the pool. We had monkeys and toucans and a resident iguana and frogs visit us. It was absolutely awesome to swim in the pool with monkey and toucans playing in the trees above us.

Perfect Costa Rican stay!

This house is the perfect getaway! Close to all and yet secluded and private. We were greeted by monkeys and saw macaws and iguanas. We heard the howlers at night. The home is decorated beautifully with natural woods and bright colors. It is also super safe. The pool is amazing! We would definitely stay again!! Thank you!!

We enjoyed our VRBO in MA. Our host, Rebecca, was very clear in her communications with us which made finding the property easy. Rebecca was responsive to our requests and had the knives sharpened prior to our fishing excursion, which was a bonus. House is very comfortable and inviting allowing for a relaxing experience. We enjoyed the daily visits from howler and white face monkeys. Thank you!

Beautiful Property & Great Location!

Don't pass up this gorgeous house! It was so lovely to spend a few days in Manuel Antonio and Rebecca did everything to make our stay wonderful. She had a birthday cake waiting for our daughter and arranged a few wonderful tours for us (Jordan and Dagoberto were EXCELLENT guides). We were visited by iguanas, birds and LOTS of squirrel monkeys while enjoying the pool. The house is well-appointed and very secure... would absolutely stay again!

It was my second time back at the house and it was just as amazing as I remembered it. The location is unbeatable, being nestled into the forest with all of the beautiful trees, plants, and non-stop animals. Rebecca is a very attentive host and is very helpful. I wish I could live there for ever.

Amazing, Amaxing, Amazing!!!

This house is private, clean, safe, spacious and backs onto a jungle where many animals can be seen! We loved the resort feeling of the backyard and pool. We would absolutely recommend this property and hope to return one day! Thank you! We travelled around Costa Rica, staying at four different places and this place was our favourite.

Peaceful, clean, away from the noise of 618, well-stocked. Just the sounds of the birds and monkeys. Right next to Cerdo Feliz and a corner market. Idyllic. Host was great: constant contact when needed, but not too intrusive...perfect. Nice, helpful folks in the few houses around. For MA, really remote feel, yet still so close to wherever you want to be. 5 stars across the board.

Perfect spot in Manuel Antonio

We knew from the listing and reviews that this would be a great place, but after staying we have to say that it was nicer, cleaner, more comfortable, better setup, and in a nicer neighborhood than we expected. The pics don’t do it justice! We loved being close to everything in Manuel Antonio, but also feeling like we were in a secluded jungle getaway. Our family (3 kids and 2 parents) all loved the home and were very comfortable there. The neighborhood gate attendant was so friendly and helped us spot animals we were looking for. Communication was great! Thankful for our stay here, just wish it was longer!

More than we hoped for!

Such a lovely week at this property! The bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged so that everyone had some privacy but plenty of space for gathering as well. We had hoped to possibly see some wildlife but were amazed to not only have a sloth that hung out above the pool for several days, but also two different species of monkeys, an iguana family, hummingbirds, and a small shy brown animal that tiptoed by while stealing mangos! The property had everything we needed, the host was lovely and responsive to questions, and the gate guard was reassuring to those of us used to city living. Hope to be back!

Peace in Paradise

The property is beautiful & exactly what our family needed. It was easy to find using the Waze App (we also downloaded an offline-use Google Map for navigating the area (the house has great service though). The well cared for home is clean with comfortable beds, nice linens/ towels, a well organized kitchen, and plenty of space to spend time with family. It was cool even without fans or the AC on, which were used lightly at night. The covered patio was perfect for morning coffee We all very much enjoyed the pool after touring all day. Capuchin and squirrel monkeys visited daily, along with iguana, basilik lizards, agouti, and other small critters. The home feels very private, but very safe with neighbors not too far away and a security guard present at all times. If that wasn't enough, the host is absolutely amazing. Rebecca helped us book tour guides,and gave us coaching on what to do/see/eat and to avoid as well, ensuring a fun, stress-free trip. She was easily accessible when needed, and the cherry on top was that she arranged for a private chef to come make us a celebratory dinner for our son's birthday 17th/ our 19th wedding anniversary (absolutely delicious and so fun--definitely recommend). If that wasn't enough, our son (who is on the autism spectrum) invited her to join him in a card game when she stopped in briefly to help the chef set up, and she was so sweet and jumped right in to a few hands of Uno. Thank you so much for making this trip extra special!

Host Double-Booked Property

We arrived to the property and let ourselves in with the door code shortly after midnight, only to discover other people sleeping inside. The other guests booked 3 days after we did. We booked the property Jan 20, she confirmed Jan 21. The other guests’ reservation had a confirmation date of Jan 24. The host tried to say that instant booking on VRBO may have caused an issue, even though that wasn’t what happened. She blamed calendars synching, which could be true but she also talked to both parties through both platforms and met the other party at the house (we had 3 guests, they had over 6
so regardless she still didn’t recognize she messed up). It caused a ton of problems for my family scrambling for a place to stay. She did offer us the studio in the backyard she “wouldn’t charge us for,” but they also had guests out there and I am not staying with strangers. The security guard was nice. From what I could see of the house, it would have been nice to stay there. The fridge was loud, I did notice that. I do not recommend booking with the host, the home may be beautiful but she ruined our vacation by not being organized and did little to help us for the mess she created

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus in toller ruhiger Lage

die beste Unterkunft, die wir bei unserer Costa Rica Rundreise hatten. Alles super, ruhig, schöner Pool und wir konnten direkt an der Terrasse auch viele Tiere sehen (Faultier, Leguan, Frosch, Kolibri, Affen, Schmetterlinge) Sehr zu empfehlen!

This property is very private yet close enough to drive down a few minutes and enjoy the culture, shops, and tours. We called it our "hole in the jungle", with lots of monkeys (friendly), eguana, birds, butterflies, etc. We spent hours out on our large deck enjoying our "happy place". Interior decor and wall art were magnificent. At our request, the Owner dropped by so we could meet her, and what a wonderful lady she was. This was the way to see Costa Rica.

Paradise

The property is beautiful and secluded. We looked forward to coming home each day after our outings and hanging out by the pool. We saw a group of monkeys jumping from tree to tree while having our coffee one morning. The house is spacious and very comfortable. The guard was very nice and welcoming, he showed us a sloth sleeping in a tree one afternoon. We are very pleased we chose this home for our vacation.
