Miranda, had my house been as u depicted u should not have even accepted the keys after being shown around. I would NEVER stay in a house as filthy as u describe. It's interesting that u did not complain till the night before u left. I know u were trying to get money back which u did not achieve, u need proof. I have pics of the house before u arrived and when my check-in manager showed u around u had no complaints. I have pics after u left and we were trying to find the keys (something else we did not have to do). U broke all of my house rules by booking for 5 guest and then having 8 in a house that sleeps 7 only. U told me this yourself on the phone when u had to tell me u lost the keys and with 8 people u had no idea who had them. As the booking guest u are responsible for them, not me. U did not want to pay for the locks but that's why u pay for insurance. Initially when u were trying to act like it was my problem VRBO told me to put it as an add-on expense. I did that, which I am sure pissed u off. It pissed me off too and I spend a lot of time talking to VRBO telling them I did not see why u were responsible when I did not believe u did it on purpose. I went out of my way to make sure it was fair to u. I took it upon myself to go through the insurance and it was paid promptly and the locks were changed. It's funny that u told me ur friend has a Villa in St. Thomas and now u say, "l have properties in STT." I believe ur friend has a rental, I do not believe u do. That's the problem with lies, they are hard to keep straight. I'm so sorry ur friends property is in the ugliest and most dangerous Islands of the USVI. U may or maynot have seen a dead bug, if u did it's a good thing. U know in open houses bugs can be a problem but I am so afraid of bugs I never miss a bug spray. Live bugs are a problem, not dead ones unless they are excessive which I know they were not. Even my yard is sprayed.I know u live in STT but I know u are not from there so maybe u did not understand that. I heard ur friends on the phone, apparently u were the only one that did not enjoy the house. In the future, I suggest you be more honest because dishonesty will come back to haunt you. This is my ancesteral home that I rent out occassionally for people to enjoy the beauty of St. Croix, I don't own another property I rent out. This is not a business for me. Have a great life. I hope no one else has the misfortune of renting to u.

I am so slow. I took the house off the market because of the pandemic. Apologies for this late review. I remember your family well when u booked. I am so glad you enjoyed Mango house and St. Croix. I hope you'll come back some day during mango season and ur kiddos can help eat them. :-) Alyx
