Einzigartig schöne Haus 1830 in ruhiger ländlicher Lage und doch nahe Städte & resor

This is a country house and spiders live here too. Regretfully, especially for guests, I brush them away and clear away their webs - I say 'regretfully' because they are incredible weavers and their webs catch insects that might otherwise annoy us humans who dwell in the countryside - their domain. Ahh, the natural world! As far as the stuff lying around in the kitchen, I am not certain what is referred to here. Appliances - new and outdated? Coffees and teas I have left for guests on a sideboard? If I had more finances at my disposal, I might build more counter space. But there is enough to bake bread as well as a good old-fashioned Apple pie - to complement the old-fashioned nature of this 1800's house!

Dr.Megan Pioko, I am abashed at your comments. Chris and I went out of our way to help you and your friend have a good stay in the home and in the Hudson Valley . When you first told me onlline that you were interested in antiques and restaurants, I drew up and sent a list to you before your arrival as well as left a printed list here. The day of your arrivall, we tried to be in constant contact with you We were concerned about how late it was getting and so I, the homeowner, returned to make sure Chris could be in touch with and that you arrived safely. We understood your trip was difficult and so you couldn't arrive till about 8:30. We were both there to make sure you were all right. At first you didn't ask for Christopher's help to orient yourself to the house. When he later asked you, you said you didn't need a tour of the house but that you were interested in the history of the area. Chris told you about the history of the stone walls surrounding our property and area. When you told Christ where you came from, he was amazed that he, too, came from the same place and filled you in with a bit of history that you were surprised and eager to learn about - the moving of the church of St. David's at Villa Nova to Rosemont. I am glad you and your company enjoyed the stay here, Nancy! I spent many houra on preparation for your stay but your comments have been most helpful in knowing what else a guest would need to feel most comfortable for a 2 night stay: more ample drawer and closet space and better bedroom lighting; up-to-date kitchen appliances and accessories. I had cleared out the refrigerator as best I could, while also leaving breakfast foods for you - milk, half and half, yogurts, orange juice, breads, butter and jams ( as well as a variety of teas and coffee on the sideboard.) Lisa, I am glad you found the house lovely, beautifully decorated and cozy. However, I deeply regret your discomfort and our lack of satisfactory communication. In cleaning up, I found a small piece of paper on the bed in the blue room and thought you might need it for your knitting. I'll text the photo to you. Jane
