Lovely home, lovely stay

We had a great time at 124 Sandal Lane - the house was the perfect 'Florida House' and exactly what we were looking for. Very spacious, lots of great light, well appointed - we especially loved spending time in the Lanai/screened in patio. The hosts are super responsive too. And, the perfect neighborhood for walking to the beach or the inlet, the Marina, and lots of shops and restaurants. We hope to visit again!

Excellent location

This is a beautiful, spacious, fully equipped/stocked house with a very private fenced in backyard. House is in a location that is a short walking distance to whatever you want to do, beach, shopping, playgrounds, restaurants. The owner/host Joan is super to deal with. Easy to get ahold of with prompt replies and leaves you in peace and privacy. We would highly recommend this vacation home.

Wonderful Beach House

This beautiful home is located in the quiet, pristine neighborhood of Palm Beach Shores. It is close to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. Great walking neighborhood. The owners are local and are very friendly and responsive to any requests. This fabulous home is laid out nicely for entertaining and is well equipped. Great Palm Beach Shores Home

This is a very nice, very clean home in a great location. Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying here. There are many restaurants nearby, and it’s a nice walk to the inlet. The screened in porch at the back of the house was our favorite place to congregate. The back yard is filled with tropical plants, and trees ( banana trees you can actually eat the bananas from!) The owner, Joan was very quick to respond to any of our questions. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the West Palm Beach area.

Perfect Location. Home away from home!

We had a long term stay at this lovely property and wish we could give it 10 stars. The home was pristine when we walked in. It is a 5 minute walk to one of the best beaches in Florida. It was comfortable and well appointed. Any minor issues were dealt with immediately. It’s a perfect setup for a family with the master on one side and 2 bedrooms on the other. Our favorite is the large screen porch overlooking a lovely backyard. This house is a gem! We can’t wait to come back!

Paradise

Our first stay in this area, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The “Beach House” fulfilled our every need and desire. From a well-stocked kitchen, to every amenity that one could possibly want, Joan and Larry have provided. If we had any questions, Joan was always got back with a quick reply. We could not have improved on the location - perfectly located between the ocean, the intercostal, and the cut-through canal, it was paradise. Hopefully, we will get a chance to return in the future.

Perfect Beach House

Excellent vacation property, the owner provided many amenities including beach chairs, a cooler and a parking pass. House was larger than expected, very clean and very comfortable in a perfect location! The owner was easy to reach and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and family!

Great time!

Traditional beach house perfectly located in Palm Beach shores. Easy walking distance to a range of multiple restaurants and the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Owners provided a generous amount of kitchen and laundry supplies, extra linens, beach items, etc, and were very helpful and welcoming before and during our stay. WiFi and cable were great. Felt like friends who let us use their home. I highly recommend. Thank you for having us!

Excellent place for vacation

The location is nice, near the beach and restaurants. The house is clean and spacious, the patio is great. The Whole Foods Market delivers to the house, so no need to do grocery shopping. Be prepared to use bottled water. Great vacation place for families.

Beach Bum Family Loved this location!

Easy walk to the beach (5 minute walk or 2 minute drive - owner leaves you a parking permit! USE IT :) Head west for sunset at Sailfish Marina. The house was a great fit for our family of 4 - kids in 2 bedrooms on 1 side and master suite on the other side. Bathrooms are small but sufficient! Check out the lighting in the master bathroom - takes 20 years off - I swear! Lots of amenities provided at the house - plenty of towels - beach towels - beach chairs - beach bag/cooler - spices in the kitchen - and Joan provided us with some starter coffee, wine and chocolates! Fresh flowers were a nice touch as well - Thank, Joan! If you are a foodie - there are some wonderful restaurants an easy 20 minute drive north (and probably south - but Palm Beach wasn't our vibe). Try Little Moir's Food Shack, Leftovers, Captain Charlie's The Reef - None of them are fancy but had wonderful (handwritten = fresh) menues.

Perfect Stay, Singer Island

Had a wonderful stay in Joan’s property. Pet friendly, beautiful screened porch and fenced yard. With COVID, we did not eat at all the great restaurants but she had everything we needed in the kitchen for awesome meals. Plenty of room, close to everything and we went diving and snorkeling at the Blue Heron Bridge, one of our favorite spots. Could not have been better.

Great Home in Quiet Neighborhood

This rental has everything you need and more. The backyard is perfect even during the peak of summer months. The mature trees provide a lot of shade. The house is within walking distance to the beach, lagoon, and restaurants. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Great Home plus Great Location

My wife and I along with our four legged friend “Barney” had the pleasure of living in the “beach house” recently for two months. Barney loved it because he had a wonderful fenced back yard and he was able to take long walks every day and meet new dog friends and people friends. My wife loved the well equipped kitchen and the old Florida look of the entire house. Plenty of linens and towels. All we needed to bring was our clothes. I was happy because it was so comfortable and quiet sitting on the screened porch I would just lose track of time. I also enjoyed long walks on the walking path to the inlet or to the beach or marina or the mall or even the park across from the mall. Palm Beach Shores is a safe place to walk or ride your bike day or night. If you want to eat out, there are at least five restaurants within walking distance. Last but not least, Joan and Larry are wonderful hosts. They will do their best to make your stay enjoyable. Carl

Staying here made moving feel like a vacation!

We stayed here for nearly 2 months over the summer during our relocation from Ft Myers to Palm Beach Gardens. Our stay was the least stressful part of the move, in fact it felt like a vacation. The home is quite spacious and well appointed. The backyard is huge and shaded by a beautiful Banyan tree with butterflies constantly fluttering around the flowering shrubs. As a guest at the house you get to take advantage of being able to use the Palm Beach Shores residents' beach. It is a short walk away and amazing!! Skip, the main lifeguard on duty is very friendly and ready to offer up information on marine conditions. Sea turtle tracks from nesting females are etched in the sand waiting to be discovered on early morning walks. While star gazing on the beach one night we actually got to see a loggerhead lay eggs, something I have always wanted to experience! Another one of our favorite things to do while we stayed here was take the walking path down to the point and sit and watch the various ships enter and exit the channel. Additionally, Joan and Larry are awesome owners. When we were originally looking at places to book we read the other reviews and thought it was interesting that they all raved about them, after our stay we understand why. There were little things that showed a genuine appreciation that you are their guest, like the fresh cut tropical flowers and a bottle of wine to welcome on arrival, just to name a few. Or when we noticed that beach parking permit was approaching it's expiration, Larry showed up the next morning with the new permit in hand, seamless. I will be recommending friends and family stay here when they come to visit, likewise, I recommend anyone reading this review, don't hesitate, book!

Quiet, comfortable, and close to the water

My wife and I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect location for a two month stay. This property is close to everything that defines a south Florida vacation. The Atlantic is a short walk away, I95 and the Florida Turnpike are easily accessible, and there are numerous restaurants, from fast food to fine dining, close by. Every water activity I can think of, from scuba diving to boating, are minutes away. The great John D. McCarthur state park is five minutes away, with kayaking, nature walks and wildlife talks most days, and car shows and music on weekends. The house itself is a delightful, mid-century Florida beach house. It’s very comfortable, quiet, and nicely furnished and landscaped. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog. The house is thoroughly and thoughtfully stocked with all the comforts of home, from towels and linens to kitchen utensils. If I baked I could have baked a cake, and I never lacked for specific tools I needed to cook a gourmet meal. The kitchen is surprisingly well equipped! The best surprise though was Joan, our gracious host. She was very responsive and attentive, but never intruded on our privacy. On the few occasions we needed her help or had a question she got back to us within the hour. When the Keurig coffee maker died, she replaced it the next day. I highly recommend this property!

Great Palm Beach Get Away!

We loved the home! The house was immaculate, and it had every amenity you would want for a vacation. It has a large screened in porch where you can enjoy the breeze, hear the waves and relax! Joan the owner checked in by text to be sure we had all we needed, she was extremely responsive. The location is great - 1 block to the beaches, bars, good restaurants, and shops. Access to a Publix for groceries was just over the bridge. We also charted fishing from Phil Foster State park just a walk away. We highly recommend it and hope to come again.

GREAT HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!

We stayed in the "Beach House" and it was wonderful! The house is definitely as advertised and more. Everything we needed was there. We were impressed with how well the kitchen was furnished with all the tools one needs to prepare meals at home. The huge screened in porch made for a great spot for morning coffee or a glass on wine in the evening. If we wanted to just hang around the house the backyard was perfect. The location was great; two beaches within a couple of blocks and at least 5 restaurants, two having evening entertainment within walking distance. If you don't want to venture away, you can just park the car for the duration of your vacation. The owners were definitely available if we had any questions. Without a doubt we would return to the "Beach House."

Great Vacation Home!

This is a great home in a great location. It was our first year doing the "snowbird" thing, and we could not have picked a better rental. The house was clean, comfortably furnished, and had everything we needed. It made the move in, and move out process very easy. Great screened in porch, and fenced in, very private back yard, which is great for small dogs. Our dog Harvey just loved it. The location is great, being a 5 minute walk to the beach, and several restaurants, and 10 minute walk to Sailfish Marina/Restaurant. The town of Palm Beach Shores is quiet, residential, and charming. Very "walkable", with a walking path through the town to the Inlet. We rented from Joan and Larry from January for 3 months, and if we do this again, it will be our first choice. Joan and Larry were very responsive to any questions or requests we had.

Home away from home

As soon as we pulled up to the house we knew it was going to be the vacation we wanted. Super clean house with All the amenities, Did not need a thing Joan and Larry were gracious hosts anytime I called , they answered Our dog had a wonderful vacation as well! Great walks around the island, we could even take her to the restaurants The house has a beautiful yard ,in which she investigated every inch,..she's a beagle 😊 The town and the people are welcoming , even went to the Town tree lighting ceremony! We stayed 2 blissful weeks and look forward to coming back If you have a car , that's good But if you don't ,.. Not needed .. The island has it all

Repeat renters

Beautiful, well-stocked house!

From the moment we opened the front door and walked in, we continued to be impressed and happily surprised by this house. It was immaculate, charming, and had everything you could ask for in the kitchen and bathrooms as well as beach chairs, washer and dryer, garage with door opener, etc. The back yard is gorgeous and well maintained and a great place to hang out, grill and relax. It feels like you're in a real home and is so convenient to the beach, restaurants, shops, pedestrian trail, the marina, etc. We didn't really need to get in our car at all after we arrived. The owners were extremely helpful along the way and the information book they provided had all the information we needed as well as some super restaurant recommendations and menus. This was perfect for our family vacation and we would absolutely stay here again and again.

Great house close to the beach and baseball fields

Traveled recently for baseball tournament in Jupiter and did not want to stay in hotel for 8 days. Found this house on VRBO and rented it. Location was close to ballfields and more importantly the beach! House was lovely and kitchen fully furnished; washer and dryer included. Loved the welcoming chocolate and bottle of wine as well as the screened in porch. Joan and Larry were outstanding in making our stay the best. Loved the neighborhood and walking trails. It was a great time and if we ever come back for more baseball, we hope we can stay here.

great house and location

The house is exactly as described and as pictured in the listing. The house is fully equipped, clean and very nicely decorated - very relaxing place to stay! It is located in a nice neighborhood, walking distance to the beach, the inlet and the intracoastal. The owners have also provided a permit for parking at the beach, if you'd rather drive the few blocks instead of walking. The backyard is fully fenced, which is very helpful if you have a dog. I recommend this property, and I would stay here again.

We love the little beach community of Palm Beach Shores. The Sandal Lane beach cottage was first purchased by our parents in 1988 from the original owner who started building it in 1949. It has now been passed down to us and we plan to keep it in the family.

It is hard to find a little beach community like this. In the late 40's, the developer had the foresight to make a walkway through the entire town running north and south. You can walk to the inlet and watch the gorgeous boats come and go. The walk takes you past the town hall with its own police and fire department. Along the way there are beautiful native trees, benches, and other friendly walkers. This neighborhood is truly a slice of old Florida.
