Sadly we had a number of significant issues while staying at the property. Most serious of which were initial problems with cleanliness of the house, a dishwasher that didn't work and a lack of hot water most of the time for showering and cleaning dishes. All of which required repeated visits by different tradespeople that impacted on the planned tranquility of our stay. Although the owner seemed responsive at the time of raising the concerns, he ultimately seemed to want to blame us for causing these various issues! And finally after a badly disturbed week he then offered to not charge a cleaning fee (that we paid at the time of completing the booking but we then discovered he always charges 2 cleaning fees, one at the start of the stay and a second one at the end - which is surely dishonest / fraudulent?). Beware!He also "generously" offered to not charge his usual (exorbitant - i.e. seemingly much higher than his providers charge for electricity) charges for "excessive" use of electricity - but given that he did not show us an initial meter reading or show us the meter location so that we could monitor our ongoing usage, or indeed the final meter reading, we would have refused to pay any such charges anyway. So, this is in essence an attractive holiday property totally spoiled by the now exposed routine behaviour of the owner to take advantage of his holiday makers. Incredibly disappointed, do not stay here unless you want to be insulted and taken advantage of .
