Fernledge, ein klassisches Montreat-Cottage, bietet den einfachen Charme einer Berghütte mit sauberem Cottage-Dekor. Entspannen Sie auf der großen Veranda oder machen Sie einen kurzen Spaziergang zum Lake Susan. Das Erdgeschoss verfügt über eine Küche und ein Wohn- / Esszimmer mit offenem Schnitt sowie ein Hauptschlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett und einem Vollbad. Der zweite Stock verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer (1 Königin, ein König und 2 mit Zwillingen), von denen jedes ein eigenes Waschbecken hat. Ein Vollbad befindet sich im zweiten Stock Flur. Das Haus ist über eine asphaltierte Auffahrt und einen Carport mit Platz für mehrere Autos leicht zu erreichen. Das Haus ist auch nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Robert Lake Park / Spielplatz entfernt, der einen tollen Bach zum Bau von Dämmen bietet.
Fernledge liegt 30 Minuten vom Besten beider Welten entfernt: den Bergen und rauschenden Bächen von Montreat mit der Erreichbarkeit von Asheville innerhalb einer kurzen Autofahrt.

Bitte beachten Sie: Obwohl es keine zentrale Klimaanlage gibt, bleibt Fernledge aufgrund der grünen Umgebung kühl. Hat einen ganzen Hausventilator, der hilft, die Abend- und Morgenluft hereinzubringen. Unter dem Haupthaus befindet sich eine kleine Wohnung mit separatem Eingang. Gelegentlich kann ein Familienmitglied die separate Wohnung nutzen. In diesem Fall benachrichtigen wir den Mieter im Haupthaus.

HINWEIS: Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden NICHT mitgeliefert, können jedoch über GreyBeard gegen eine zusätzliche Gebühr ausgeliehen werden.

Family unanimous with loving this house and area for holiday week. Black Mountain/Montreat/Asheville resilient after storm, shops, cafes, businesses open. House is well loved and comfortable for family groups, clean as a whistle.

Fernledge Vacation

We enjoyed the charm of a home built in 1917 with modern conveniences. The quiet and beauty of the surroundings, front porch, wood burning stove, carport for parking and unloading and close proximity to Black Mountain were all added benefits.

Cozy stay

I rented this house for my family of 5 and my mom, 2 sisters and 1 brother in law. We rented for an October wedding in Old Fort and the rehearsal dinner was in Asheville so this was the perfect in-between spot. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood within walking distance to lovely hiking trails. We did the lookout mountain trail vial rainbow road hike and there were amazing views from the top and we could walk to the trail head from the house!!! The house was perfect as my mom is 85 and the main floor queen bedroom with ensuite was perfect to make her very comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped although we did not cook there other then breakfast. I would highly recommend this house, the large front porch was the best part of this house!!! It was cool that each bedroom upstairs had a sink in each room. This made the line for the bathroom at night non existent. Again, I would highly recommend this VRBO.

Beat the heat!

We had a lovely time in this comfortable, historic home. Very quaint as well as convenient to have a sink in every bedroom despite it being only two baths and five bedroom property. No worries! Kitchen well appointed. Front porch a true magnet for our family all day and evening! Wonderful availability of a range of hikes nearby. Tennis courts at the bottom of the hill open to the public. This home has dated but comfortable, well kept furnishings.

Girls Weekend Getaway

We really enjoyed the location of the property and the charm of the house. Very spacious and a lot of amenities. Very clean and comfortable. Only thing missing from the kitchen was a working coffee maker. We were only there 3 nights so not a big deal. Would recommend to a large group for sure.

We had no problems getting to the house and very much enjoyed our stay. Greybeard was great, and even checked to make sure the house was warm during a freeze warning. All the info for driving, checking in, and checking out was provided and had no problems whatsoever with the instructions given. Would like to thank Greybeard and the owners of Fernledge for making our vacation easy and convenient!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A small youth group attended an event at the Montreat Conference Center for the week. The house worked out beautifully with great dining and living space and plenty of sleeping space. Two bathrooms is a bit tight when multiple teenagers are involved, but everything worked out great. Staying in the middle of July, we made use of the many fans throughout the house, including the attic fan to keep the house cool and didn't miss the a/c at all. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed this home while we were in Montreat for a wedding on New Year's Eve. We were so glad to see that the home stayed warm in this cold period. The location, the carport, and ease of entry into the home added to our satisfaction. The dining room and living room are spacious enough for a number of guests, if needed. We would recommend this home and would stay there again.

We rented two houses and it was the one closest to the Conference center so our group met and ate lunch there everyday.
