Amazing!

We had the most beautiful stay end of July for 10 days. The owners were very welcoming, we enjoyed the breathtaking view from every room of the house. The direct access to the lake was another plus for the house. Yes, the traffic can get a bit noisy but that didn´t bother us too much. Closed to Varenna and local supermarkets.

Eine sehr schöne Wohnung an einem sehr schönen Ort

Meine (große) Kinder und ich haben eine sehr schöne und entspannte Woche in dieser Wohnung verbracht. Der direkten Zugang zum See ist einfach perfekt fürs spontanes Schwimmengehen. Die Wohnung ist schön und entspricht die Bilder. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und obwohl sie über der Wohnung leben, sehr diskret. Daniela hat uns mit Tiramisu und Gebäck verwöhnt. Sehr nett. Der einzige negativer Punkt ist die teilweise sehr stark befahrene Strasse direkt am Haus. Dies führt sehr viel Lärm.

Fantastic panorama over lake Como

The appartment is located fantastically with wonderful view on the lake and mountains. Marco and his familiy were very friendly and helpful if anything was needed. The only downside is the close railway tracks and lakeside road, which sometimes was disturbing (motorcycles). Nevertheless, it was wonderful and we can recommend this beautyful place!

Charming stay

We had a great time in Marco’s apartment and the great family-like feeling upon arrival. Marco was a great Host, considerate and friendly. Not only were we welcomed with snacks and drinks, but also almost every other day he and his family gave us sweet surprises!! Our expectations were over made and we were grateful to stay in this adorable apartment. The private beach belonging to the property gave us relaxation and the location is really wonderful. Great experience and worth visiting again and again! Thank you and Grazie!

Wonderful house with private beach access

We had a wonderful time at Marco's place. Marco and his wife welcomed us personally upon arrival and explained everything. The house is just beautiful with more than enough space for 5 people, nicely decorated and very clean. We enjoyed BBQ sessions on the terrace and the amazing view over the lake. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and you have it from the kitchen, from the living room, dining area and the terrace. The house has its own private access to the lake, which is indeed pure luxury. We definitely would recommend Marco's place further. Thank you Marco and family for such an incredible week at Lago di Como.

Glückstreffer für einen tollen Urlaub

Wir sind begeistert! Die Lage ist unschlagbar, und die Vermieter total nett und gastfreundlich. Die Wohnung ist zwar mit älteren Möbeln ausgestattet, aber alles sauber und funktional. Der Aussenbereich ist liebevoll gepflegt, somit kann man richtig die Seele baumeln lassen. Eins der Schlafzimmer geht zur Strassenseite, hier sollten nur Leute mit tiefem Schlaf nächtigen. Fazit: Wir kommen wieder!

Urlaub mit Hund

Das Objekt liegt direkt an der Hauptstrasse. Dee See ist durch eine Unterführung gut zu Fuss in 2 Minuten zu erreichen allerdings werden Badeschuhe empfohlen. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und schön angelegt. Das Haus an sich ist modern eingerichtet und bietet genügend Platz für mehrere Personen. Gut war auch eine eigene abgeschlossene Garage. Leider ist es mit Hund nicht so gut, da es in der näheren Umgebung wenig zu laufen gibt (ausser man läuft gern auf der Strasse mit seiner Fellnase). Aber im grossen und ganzen war es eine schöne Unterkunft bzw ein schöner Urlaub mit sehr sehr netten und zuvorkommenden Vermietern.

Diese Bewertung wurde vor 2018 eingereicht und wurde nicht geprüft.

Tolle Wohnung an lebhafter Straße

Fotos und Beschreibung der Wohnung entsprechen den Tatsachen. Die Wohnung ist ganz hervorragend ausgestattet. Wunderbare Terasse mit beeindruckendem Blick auf den Comer See. Sehr freundliche und großzügige Gastgeber. Als störend empfanden wir den Straßenlärm.

Don’t Miss

This was one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in. The view itself is worth every dollar. During our stay, we had a car and were able to explore the nearby towns. I would definitely recommend doing so, because multiple people were seen dragging their luggage throughout town while trying to get to their stays. You don’t want to be on the narrow roadside with your bags. Marco was the most hospitable host that we have encountered yet. This stay was for our wedding, and not only did he communicate with our wedding planner to help with the florist, make up artist, photographer and chef, but on the wedding day itself, he and his wife stopped by to drop of flowers. Overall, he helped make our wedding day all that we could have ever asked for and more. I 1000% recommend this place and hopefully will be returning soon

Short but sweet!

Our flight got delayed so we only made it for 1 of our 3 nights, but we made the most of it. Beautiful villa. Only complaint is little privacy. Owners live upstairs and are always right out and about. But they could not be kinder.

Top Notch!

This was the perfect property for my sisters and me to enjoy a week in the Lake Como area. It was roomy and well-appointed and very clean. The outdoor space and the view were magical. Though the owners were living upstairs, it felt like we had this house all to ourselves. When home we spent a lot of time in the sunroom that is all windows on two sides. Ate breakfast there each morning and played Scrabble. The kitchen has everything one would need and we made dinner on two nights rather than going out.We rented a car rather than taking the train to Varenna from Milan and were glad we did. It allowed us to go to the grocery store in Mondello and get food and wine for the week. It also was convenient for traveling to Varenna and other towns. Parking in some places is challenging, but we always seemed to luck out. The property has a garage for a car, so that was convenient. Small car is best.Note - the property is in the hamlet of Fiumelatte within Varenna. The center of Varenna (with ferries and restaurants) is about 3km down the road. We liked being a little outside the busy part of town. We walked the Greenway trail one day into town, but mostly drove the car. We don't know how easy or hard it is to get a taxi.Marco and Daniela were great and greeted us upon arrival with champagne. They provided maps and information that really helped get us started on our adventure.

Breathtaking Views

Marco and his wife are fabulous hosts! We were greeted warmly and with chilled presence and homemade bread. It is a short distance to Varenna and you can walk the greenway into town. The apartment was great with a fabulous sunroom and outdoor patio overlooking Lake Como. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay near Varenna

My family of four adults (two couples) found this apartment absolutely excellent. The apartment is as pictured and is very clean, modern, and creatively decorated. The view from the large enclosed area off the kitchen is exquisite. Waking to see snow on the mountain tops was a blessing. The patio was restful with lounge chairs and seating. There is a private beach which provided nice opportunity to appreciate Lake Como. The owners/management were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Having arrived on Easter Sunday, the owners offered us a delicious cake, prosecco, and other treats to get us started on our four-day stay. Fiumelatte and Varenna could work toward extending the walkways, as the walk from the apartment to Varenna is a pleasant mile-and-a-half walk, but very close to traffic at times. Great to have a taxi service available. Marco Barili and Rita were great taxi drivers. Many nice Varenna restaurants, but we especially liked Hosteria del Platano in Fiumelatte. Thanks to the hosts of this beautiful apartment.

Relaxing

The view from the terrace is amazing! A wonderful and relaxing place to spend time on Lake Como. The location is very convenient to the ferry in Varenna. You can’t walk easily to Varenna but the drive is quick and parking was easy in the garage. If you are looking for beauty and relaxation, this is the perfect place.

Beautiful Property

We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was a week. The apartment was as comfortable and the view as beautiful as advertised. We did not have a car But it was easy to get to and from the lovely town of Varenna by cab. Marco was a very gracious and helpful host I highly recommend this property.

Loved our stay

For a change, the property was exactly as advertised. Plenty of room, clean , incredible views and charming hosts. Hoping to return with friends. Suggest renting a car as taxi service is a bit tough.

Absolutely phenomenal

We had the best of time. Stayed for a month. The owners Marco and Daniela could not have been nicer. The home is a dream. We took morning dips every morning in the lake and walked 2 miles into Varenna every morning for coffee (and back).

Fantastic Views and Outdoor Space

We loved our stay at this charming property! The views are stunning. The outdoor space is so welcoming and comfortable. The easy lake access is unique and was really fun for our kids. Our family loved swimming in the lake then coming back to warm up on the turf. Daniella and Marco are fantastic hosts who kindly welcomed us with champagne and snacks. We did have to take a taxi to town each time, but the hosts provided drivers we could contact via Whatsapp. The taxis were a bit of a pain, but totally worth it to stay at this property. We loved it!

Lake Como

A beautiful house with a beautiful view. The A/C works great as does the W/D. The kitchen could use a few more supplies as we cooked every night. The photos don't show it but the house is on a busy road. The owners live upstairs and there is a renter downstairs. The walk into Varenna is difficult as there are few sidewalks. I recommend renting E-bikes for the trip into Varenna. Overall a wonderful place to stay with a small family.
