Beautiful Villa with very nice garden with fruit and olive trees, terraces and swimming pool. Close to Palermo, but also close to little beaches and nice villages near the sea. The house and facilities were pristine. The owner Gaetano and his wife do everything to make sure your stay is a success. This already starts with a very nice welcome. They also offer a cooking class which is recommendable!We had a very good and relaxed time at the Villa Buffa and can recommend to come and stay there.

Fabulous Stay. Gaetano and Mary were more than hospitable. They treated us like family. We enjoyed the cooking class that Gaetano arranged and recommended and the food was excellent. The restaurant recommendations were spot on. If anyone is looking for a 3 bedroom with a pool, relaxing and quiet place, Villa Buffa is the place to be. We will be back. Thank you again Gaetano and Mary for sharing your home with us. Rating is a definitely a 10/10. Actually 10 is more appropriate.

The property is amazing! The greeting was very welcoming with pastries. Only 1 little glitch with gate and it was fixed but did throw a small wrench in the plans needing it opened. But overall we would stay again

The home in Carini met all of our expectations understanding that the extreme heat did cause some power fluctuations.Let me start by saying that the hosts, Gaetano and Mary, are fantastic people that will do everything in their power to answer your questions to ensure that you have a great stay. They also provide recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc in the surrounding towns.The house has plenty of outdoor space including a pool to cool off after your journeys. The property has lemon trees, almond trees, tomato plants, chickens, etc to give the feel of a traditional Sicilian farmhouse.Kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms have comfy beds with AC, and the house was the perfect size for our family of 7.The location of the house is excellent as well, close to many neighboring beach towns, the multicultural capital of Palermo, and is only 1 hour 15 mins from beautiful Cefalu.I would definitely recommend this home if you are vacationing within the area.

This property is magical! We were greeted by our host Gaetano and his daughter. They were such lovely people. They had a tray of Sicilian pastries for us when we arrived! The pool is beautiful! The property is filled with beautiful lemon trees, which we were welcome to take. There is a huge garden with chickens. We were allowed to take some delicious onions and Gaetano even brought us eggs a few times during our stay! The property is conveniently located near Palermo airport and close to the coast. There are plenty of grocery stores nearby and the train to Palermo was also convenient to get to. We would welcome the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home again!

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful villa that is very conveniently located for visiting Palermo and the west coast of Sicily. The three highlights of the house were the pool - lots of fun, big enough to swim in, diving board - the host, Gaetano, whose warm welcome and helpful recommendations helped make our holiday, and the large covered terrace area where we spent our evenings talking, eating and playing cards.We had great days out in Palermo (park at the local train station and take the train), the Zingaro national park, Erice, and a boat trip from Trapani. We also did the parkrun in the park next to the Palermo football stadium: our first time when the course instructions included "right at the orange grove" :-)A car is a must. You cannot really walk anywhere. Although the shops are close, there are no pavements and the traffic on the main road is heavy. Our only caution is that the road to the villa is narrow with two-way traffic. The locals navigate it with ease but as right hand drive people it took us a few days to get used to squeezing past other cars. We'd advise against a very large car if you're staying here. Overall, it's a wonderful option for a family or group of friends, and we hope to be able to return ourselves at some point.

Wonderful villa

The villa is large and well looked after, there is a lovely garden and pool to relax next too. Gaetano and his family are friendly and incredibly helpful with anything we needed. Highly recommend this villa for a family stay.

Perfectly beautiful villa

Beautiful villa and grounds. Perfect location to be out of the congestion of the big city. Hosts live in the same compound, very easy to communicate with them as they are always around.

Wonderful Villa!

We had a great stay at this beautiful villa. The owners were very kind, helpful and accommodating. The house had everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. The house and grounds were very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed getting to know the owners. I would highly recommend this villa.

Fantastic Villa

We had a great stay. This Villa is immaculate and the outside space is beautiful. Gaetano is a fabulous host and the restaurants he recommended were all great. Great places to visit nearby Cefalu is a must to see. We had such a lovely week in this villa and would recommend it for families or couples. Thanks for a lovely week in your beautiful villa.

Great location wonderful hosts

Our stay with Gaetano and Mary was exceptional. They opened their arms to us for our five day stay with a warm welcome, treats and a good lay of the land. This Villa was well equipped, had a beautiful pool and spacious outside areas to dine, talk, swim, sun or shade. The Carini location has great access to Palermo center via the Autostrada as well as the airport. It is a perfect spot to tour the coast from Cefalu to Agrigento by car or railroad (which is excellent), or to tour some of the small towns in the abutting hills. The coastal towns have many beautiful and accessible beaches. Overall our stay was a home run. Graze Gaetano!!

Beautiful Villa

Absolutely beautiful villa and grounds. The hosts were so friendly, kind and helpful. Pastries upon arrival, iced tea and water, and breakfast items. Gaetano and his family were kind enough to transport us to the supermarket and to a nearby restaurant. This villa is a great location as home base to explore nearby sites. I can't thank Gaetano and his family enough for making our stay in Carini so memorable! We hope to return again!

Amazing week

We had the best week at Gaetano and Mary’s property. Everything was as advertised and more so. We were welcomed by Gaetano and Mary withrefreshing drinks and Italian pastries and most importantly a thorough walkthrough of the villa and all its amenities. Gaetano also took the time recommending different restaurants and activities in the area, which turned out to be great. The best thing about the villa is definitely the pool… also the garden with organic grown tomatoes, basil, shallots is amazing, not to forget the lemon trees. All available for you to harvest. All in all a great stay!

Awesome house

The street around it is small but we were fine with it after a day or two or using it very small two lane rd. That was the only bad thing about it everything else was perfect. Easy to het around great area amd close to modello beach

Sicily 2025

We would like to thank Gaetano and Mary for helping to make our first trip to Sicily so memorable. Gaetano was always on hand if needed . He even showed us around the local town on our first afternoon to show us the best restaurants and the beach. The welcome pack was more than welcome and they even told us where to buy the amazing Sicilian cakes. The villa it's self was perfect with a lovely pool. Even though it was near a mall town it was a very peaceful spot when lazing round the pool. I would fully recommend a stay at their villa. Thanks again Gaetano and Mary

great host,

A beautiful villa, well equiped and very clean. The outside area is large , very private and secure. We holidayed as a family of five and made full use of the excellent pool and outside area. The hosts geatano and mary welcomed us warmly on arrival with drinks and sicilian cake, as well as a welcome hamper in the villa with basic supplies to get us started. They provided us with lots of helpful information and were invaluable during our stay whenever we had need to contact . A lovely place and fantastic host.

First visit to Sicily

We would like to thank Gaetano and his family for welcoming us to the Carini Villa. They are such supportive, friendly helpful hosts. They go out of there way to make you welcome at their beautiful Villa. We could have been more pleased and would highly recommend it. The pool was great for the kids (and adults) and the facilities were great. They made our first visit to Sicily a rousing success that we plan on repeating, at the Villa. Carini stay

Gaetano provided plenty of correspondence before our stay and set up a wonderful chefs' dinner in residence. The pool was well kept up daily and my grand kids took advantage of it both day and night. I have stayed in thousands of hotels, resorts and villas and Gaetano is by far the most gracious host I have had the privilege of staying with and even though we were only there for three days, I already miss his friendship. Like an Oasis!

We stayed here for a week and had a wonderful experience! Checkin was very thorough and our hosts gifted us with wine, pastries and other goodies. The property is like an oasis - palm, olive, hibiscus, lemons, fig, roses, cacti and rosemary grow all over the grounds and the pool is a welcome respite after a day of touring the countryside. The property was spotless and very private - there is a wall surrounding the property which makes it very secure and private. It is less than a 20 minute drive from the airport so it’s super easy to get to. Our hosts were available to answer any questions. I have no hesitation recommending this property.

What a delight!

The first thing to know is that our hosts Gaetano and Maria we terrific. A wonderful welcome and helpful at every turn of our stay. Totally available to us but protected and honoured our privacy. The house itself is both rustic and majestic. We don’t enjoy sterile hotel environments and G&M’s home was exactly not that. Clean and with most things in good working order. We just moved in and thoroughly enjoyed our week. Gaetano even kept the pool open for our stay at our request because we had a few dedicated swimmers. We all loved our stay and recommend this property wholeheartedly!
