Fabulous, a true provencal retreat

The house and land are WOW! Everything is so better then described or photographed! Amazing getaway , close to the beach and restaurants. We felt as though in the country but so close to everything. Communication with owner easy & responsive Sonia, the housekeeper brilliant and attention to detail. We hope to stay again Thank you for a relaxing time

Perfect stay

The outdoor area is stunning - we spent most of our time by the pool. All of the chairs and furniture were beautiful and it felt like a resort. The house is perfectly set up for a family and the kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely return.

Absolutely beautiful luxury home

We had an extraordinary time at this beautiful home. We spent hours everyday outside by the lovely pool, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the grounds. The outdoor furniture is super comfortable and helped us relax into vacation vibe. The pool itself is gorgeous - clear and beautifully tiled, and the grounds are covered with luscious mediterranean landscaping. The house itself is very beautiful, comfortable and spacious. Really well designed and nice layout. We also loved how close it was to Salins beach - an absolutely gorgeous white sand beach with unbelievably clear and perfect swimming, and very few people compared to other beaches. We will stay here again!

Perfect for friends and family

We wrote a long review of Villa Magellan in 2015 and this is an update. The house remains a wonderful setting for a family vacation or a vacation with friends and over the past year the kitchen has been completely renovated, leading us to give the villa a five star rating. We love to cook and the kitchen is both well laid out and completely equipped. It’s a pleasure work in. The proprietor also continues to make small changes to make the house even more comfortable and more attractive. It’s a warm and welcoming environment—both in the house and in the garden. The pool is lovely and we spend many evenings in the seating and eating areas around the pool. The location is exceptional: 5 minutes from town by car and a short walk to the nearby beaches: Les Salins or a bit further, La Moutte. If there ever are problems, there is great support from the femme de ménage, the gardener and, of course, the proprietor. Also, the pool is looked after weekly and is very clean. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. Anthony B.

Sublime Villa à Saint Tropez !

Excellent séjour passé en famille à la Villa Magellan. L'emplacement est idéal : 5 minutes en voiture du centre ville mais tout de même à l'écart de l'agitation et du bruit. Les plus belles plages sauvages du coin se situent à 5 minutes à pied de la maison. La Villa est spacieuse et chaleureuse. On s'y sent très vite bien. Très bien équipée, nous n'avons manqué de rien pendant tout le séjour. Plusieurs terrasses et un beau jardin avec pinèdes bordent la maison. Nous avons bien profité de la superbe piscine autour de laquelle nous avons pu faire la sieste au soleil. Une maison authentique et pleine de charme, je recommande vivement et y retournerai sans aucun doute !

maison très agréable à vivre, l'endroit est très calme, vous etes à quelques mn du centre en voiture. préférez les vélos que vous pouvez louer, car st tropes reste st tropez, et donc est très embouteillé. La piscine est grande et bien exposée. Plusieurs terrasses.Le propriétaire très accessible répond rapidement à vos questions. maison de vacances que je conseille.

Un excellent sejour en famille

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette villa en mai. Nous étions en famille avec nos deux enfants en bas âge et la maison est très pratique et fonctionnelle! Celle ci est très bien entretenue avec décoration de goût plutôt typique, tout le confort et le matériel de cuisine y est! La chambre extérieure à l'écart de la maison est idéale pour recevoir de la famille ou des amis! Le jardin est magnifique avec une très belle végétation pins et palmiers, plusieurs espaces pour se retrouver a table ou à l'apéritif! La piscine est grande et pas directement devant la maison ce qui est plutôt rassurant pour les enfants en bas âge, un grand espace de pelouse se trouve devant la maison pour leur permettre de jouer. Le voisinage est assez discret, nous n'avons eu aucune nuisance sonore pendant notre séjour. Emplacement idéal à 5min de saint tropez, jamais d'embouteillage. Nous recommandons fortement cette maison pour un séjour en famille!!

Great vacation spot with friends or family

Villa Magellan review Villa Magellan is a lovely house in traditional Saint Tropez style but with modern conveniences. All bedrooms are comfortable and well air conditioned – during our stay there was a heat wave all over Europe but the quiet bedroom A/C could be turned on shortly before retiring and the rooms would be comfortable for sleeping. Every room has plug-in mosquito repellant devices but we did not need them. (On the other hand it is advisable to use mosquito repellant liquid or spray on exposed legs and feet before outdoor cocktails and dinner.) The pool is large and the area around it is inviting with about 8 chaise lounges - four are old roll-around wooden ones which are heavy but very comfortable. The contemporary table and chairs by the pool are inviting and practical for lunch or dinner for up to 8. Also, part of the pool area is shaded by two huge pine trees so you don’t have to retreat from the pool in the middle of the day. On the other end of the house, just outside the kitchen there is large table which we used for dinner. On most evenings we were 6 or 8 people but we had a birthday dinner at which we seated 14 people comfortably. All the required place settings and serving items came with the house. Behind the table there is also a seating area that is great for cocktails. The only shortcoming of the house is the kitchen, which is small. Prep space is very limited. But it has all the basic appliances plus Nespresso coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. We never figured how to operate the oven – too high tech programmable. Be sure to have someone explain its operation (e.g. setting the temperature) because the manual is incomplete at best. The house rental is handled by the owner who is very competent and business-like. The transaction went very smoothly, no surprises. There is a local house manager/femme de menage who can handle routine issues (though not the oven programming).

The oven has 4 preset traditional cooking temperatures for an easier use. Specific temperatures can also be programmed by operating in a way that I could have described on the phone or by mail if I had been aware of that request.

Excellent séjour

La maison est idéalement située dans un environnement verdoyant et calme tout en étant proche du centre de Saint Tropez. Elle est décorée avec goût et le jardin est très agréable. La maison est très bien équipée et fonctionnelle. L'espace et la dépendance permettent à chacun de vaquer à ses occupations et donc à une famille nombreuse de passer un excellent séjour.

Très bon séjour

La maison était très bien située et correspondait à nos attentes. L'équipement bien complet, la distribution de la maison , très agréable à vivre avec des enfants adolescents( 1 chambre dans une petite maison dans le jardin , les 2 autres au RDC et celle des parents à l'étage). Nous avons beaucoup aimé le jardin, planté de très beaux arbres, sans vis à vis. L'organisation du séjour avec le propriétaire a été sans problème, efficace et cordial.
