Perfect
I am just looking at booking this apartment again for September 2014 and realised I had not posted a testimonial for our stay last September 2013. We enjoyed a very pleasant two weeks here. The place is very well equipped and comfortable. Kitchen just full of useful appliances (even an electric juicer for the oranges. In fact we received a gift of a large bag of oranges and some cake on arrival from Carlos. The bathroom is modern and clean, the bedroom is large with plenty of wardrobe space. The lounge is large enough to accommodate a second double bed at the back wall. We were just two people, perhaps if four were using the place the second bed arrangement could be a problem as access to the kitchen means passing this bed in the morning.
However, that didn't concern us and we enjoyed the fact that the apartment is well placed for all local amenities, and a short walk away is the excellent bakery and some lively bars. A Spar supemarket is also nearby.
The apartments in the building are a mix of holiday lets and Portuguese family homes and everyone seemed very friendly. The pool and gardens were kept well maintained and not too busy. Some sunbeds would be useful though.
TV only has Portuguese channels (not satellite), but not a big issue for us. Those with kids may feel differently.
The fact that we are thinking of booking the place again says it all.
The owners are lovely, helpful people and we highly recommend this apartment.
