Loved our stay

This house was perfect for our group. Plenty of space for 3 moms and 4 teens. The girls loved the pool and the beautiful beach is super close. We cooked most of our meals at the house and everything was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, amazing backyard

This property was great and held 8 of us easily. It had everything you would need and the backyard is great! My only complaint was I don't think the property was cleaned great before we checked in, and the grill was filthy.

Absolutely wonderful!

Our trip to AMI was absolutely wonderful! We traveled from Missouri for a family wedding and had people of all ages with us. The house was the perfect setup and the back yard/pool area was the best! The swim ledge was perfect for our 2 & 4 year old. We were so thankful for the included beach toys, wagon, cooler, and stroller! We would book this place again in a heartbeat!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful vacation on AMI. The house is exactly as advertised. We had everything we needed and the beach was less than 5 minutes away. The pool is great and very private. Only issue we had were the tires on all but one bike were flat. But, we were able to rent bikes for the week from Beach Bums. We would definitely rent this property again.

Loved the house, location...

We had an amazing experience booking and working with Beach Retreats to book our house. They were amazing answering our questions and helping us get familiar with AMI. Great House!

This house was perfect for us. It was very nice and so close to the beach. We loved the pool, and rode the bikes every day. It was well equipped with plenty of towels and beach towels too. We thought it was a great place! I might make a suggestion that they supply more eating utensils. We ran out of forks daily. You might want to bring some plastic forks when you come. We would definitely stay at Mermaid Crossing again!

Amazing place

We absolutely loved out stay here! There was so much to do at the house for all age ranges! The kids loved the little area by the pool with the TV and hung out there a lot of evenings! It was mere steps from the beach which was awesome! Perfect space for 1-2 families with kids! Literally the only issue was having to go buy ice every 5 seconds because the only ice maker was the one in the fridge which didnt produce much! Overall we are obsessed with the house and everything it had to offer! ☺️

Incredible Home!

Our two families stayed in this gorgeous home Dec 26-Jan 2. It fit the 9 of us perfectly. The home looks exactly as pictured. It had everything we needed to cook meals for 4 teenage boys! We loved the backyard- pool and covered space were spectacular. Pool was cold the first day but a call into the pool guy and it warmed up the next day. Kids spent hours in the pool and at the beach. Beach is close and very clean. Could’ve easily stayed another week!

Great location, great amenities, almost perfect!

We had two families of 4 and the property was just about perfect for our needs. We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach and restaurants. Though we didn't use the hot tub (it was August), I could definitely see making good use of it in the cooler months. The only negatives I'd say are a few items in the house that were out of service. We found one of the main kitchen table chairs in the garage missing a leg, and one of the bedroom fans didn't work until my BIL did a bit of problem solving. Not huge deals, but probably things that should be addressed prior to guests arriving at the house. All in all, we'd definitely stay at this property again!

very nice!

we realized on our first full day that the hot water heater was not heating properly, and also there was a problem with the garage door. We contacted them the management company and they sent somebody over right away. Also the owner of the property contacted us and was very helpful and very kind. Sometimes things happen it’s nice to know people care and take care of them. We would definitely vacation with this company and this owner again!

Family vacation

We had a group of 7. Ranging in age from 9 to 74. The house was nice but many things didn’t work (ie tvs) or were very dirty ( the ice dispenser and washing machine were incredibly moldy). Proximity to the beach was good and there were a few restaurants and shops within walking distance. This place is run by a company not a person which isn’t my favorite. The website was horrible. I logged in once and then could never get back in. The price was way too high. And they supply absolutely nothing for cleaning the home or toiletries. I think this is silly since we are responsible for helping to keep the home clean. Instructions were lacking for how to use the pool. We struggled to get the hot tub even warm and we have a pool so not being able to figure it was frustrating. I would not return to this home but it nice while we were there.

There is an interactive screen inside the home that has information on different items inside the home, including how to work the pool/spa.

Family vacation

The location of this property was great. The beach is close by and the area was quiet. The home had plenty of space for us all and the decor was very nice. There was some cons to our trip. The WiFi password was listed differently in several places we contacted management and they were able to help us. Other things we came across with the property were the main fridge ice maker was broken along with the outside bar fridge had a door broken off the freezer. Apon arrival it did not seem to have been cleaned in the outside patio area. Landscaping appears to have not been taken care of in quite some time .During our stay there was not enough hot water for all of us to take hot showers. The washing machine appeared to have black mold on the door gasket and had a musty smell. The toaster only toasted lightly on one side. Some of the patio furniture was stained or breaking. During our stay someone came once to clean the pool, it was stated they would clean twice. We are not pool experts so not sure if this pool was a chlorine pool but we did not smell chlorine at all . By the end of our stay 4 out of 6 of us had very painful inner and outer ear infections to deal with which the doctor thought it could be from dirty pool water. There were a few rodents seen outside nad in property . The breaker to the master bathroom kept tripping also. The bunkrooms smoke alarm was missing from the ceiling. I did mention our issues at the end of our trip to management by email.

Great location and nice house but needs to be thoroughly cleaned.

The beach house was nice. The location is great! Just wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. There weren’t enough towels in the bathrooms. The washer and dryer looked like they hadn’t been used for a while and had a strong odor. Some of the furniture was old and starting to fall apart.

Perfect vacation home

We had an amazing experience from the time we arrived. I don’t have one back thing to say about this home. The backyard was perfect and the walk to the beach was super close. It was stocked with everything we needed and stores were close for extras. The inside was clean and decorated so nice. We will be back!

As stated, great!

Nice property with all amenities as stated on listing. Easy walk to the beach, 1.5 blocks (though 1 block is less than a typical city block). Outdoor living was great; covered patio with tv, 4 pool lounge chairs, warm outdoor shower, hot tub that was hot, private backyard, grills and outdoor table. Room to spread out and congregate. Ocean and pool toys, bikes and coolers were much appreciated. Plenty of plastic and glass dishes & glasses.

Beautiful home with everything that you need!!!

All I can say is that we were super happy with this amazing home. It was perfect for our group of 8. Very specious, clean with everything that you may need. Kids loved the heated pool and used it for hours every day. Located just a short distance from the beach it was just what we were looking for. Will definitely come back again!!!

Perfect Location

This house was awesome! 6 houses to the beach. Excellent layout for 2 families. Owner’s suite is on the other side of the house with a walk-in closet big enough for a pack n play or 2! One of the king rooms has a full bath for another couple and that suite is plenty big. The other king room isn’t big at all but worked just fine for 2 teenagers. The bunk bed room has 5 beds since there’s a trundle. Very easy to share with another family. We never felt like we were on top of each other. The decor was outstanding. The finishes are gorgeous. The pool was such a wonderful retreat! Having covered outdoor space was a major plus since it rained frequently on our trip. Loves the house! We would rent it again!!! A few cons: the floors are impossible to keep clean and show everything…even grains of sand. The cleaning crew did only an ok job. There were sticky remotes. Water stains/dribbles. Former tenants clothes under the bed. It was NOT gross in any way, but it was obvious they were super busy and most likely had to rush. None of it was a deal breaker at all. Again, we would rent this property over and over. Things I would suggest to the owners: •put sliders on the kitchen chairs (so loud on laminate) •Adirondack chairs would be a welcomed addition •organize garage toys and beach equipment •put hooks in the yard for hanging/drying towels •add mattress pads: the beds are very hard •upgrade pillows/sheets
