Excellent ski in / out accommodation

Communication with property owner is excellent. The accommodation facilities are perfect, its all you need for a long stay. Located next to ski run where you have easy access to 2 chair lifts. The main town is about 5-10 mins away. Garage parking is available, too. Highly recommend this place. We'll definitely stay here again.

Simply excellent

Ski in, ski out, very comfortable, spacious, fabulous views, great access to spa, car park and close to village centre. Even a babbling brook just below the balcony. Bliss.

A very warm sunny week in July

We chose this apartment, because we wanted the warmth of being in a village lowdown in the valley, but we wanted space to enjoy being on holiday. The beds were comfortable as were the sofas, with a great selection of chairs and deckchairs on the balcony. There is a small mountain stream, about 5 m away, which provided a gentle background to our afternoons spent on the balcony. The staff were very helpful, the swimming pool was a decent size for exercise, and red and croissants could be ordered the night before. We really enjoyed our stay, with such convenient parking included.

Superb all round

This is a high quality apartment in a new chalet with full spa facilities including pool. It is very spacious and well appointed, including the biggest lounge we have seen in many years of hiring ski apartments. The views over Saint Martin are lovely. You can easily ski in/ski out, with just a short glide down to the Saint Martin 1 lift. The owners are helpful and responded promptly during the booking process, and the ladies at reception are delightful, even telephoning us one evening when we had forgotten to order our baguettes for the next morning! They were also very accommodating to my niece who was leaving late on Saturday after we checked out in the morning. The only small disadvantage, if you do not bring a car, is that it is a bit of a walk to the village for shopping/ski hire etc, but this is a small point. Thoroughly recommended and we hope to return.

Un vrai bol d air !

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine à Saint Martin de Belleville. L appartement est très bien situé dans le village (au calme mais à proximité de tout). La vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique et l appartement très fonctionnel et très bien équipé. Les prestations proposées dans la résidence sont top (piscine, sauna, hamman) et permettent de se rafraîchir après une journée de randonnée ou de proposer une alternative lorsqu il pleut! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Un très agréable séjour

Nous avons été ravis de séjourner au Chalet du Gypse, un très bon accueil de Cathy et Marie, ainsi que du propriétaire (par mail). Fantastic chalet

We spend a lovely week at chalets du gypse. Fantastic accommodation and perfect location. I'd say one of the best appointed chalets in the building. Great comminication from luc and anne prior to and during our stay. Will definitely return.

A great find

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again. The apartment is spacious, comfortable - plenty of room for the four of us and would easily accommodate 6, well equipped and very comfortable beds with good quality bedding and towels provided. It’s in an great location on the blue run down to the village centre, you can either ski down to the drag lift or walk across the run and ski down to the gondola from outside the ski locker. The reception area has a wow factor and the receptionist was helpful and spoke good English. The pool and spa facilities are excellent and never busy. The secure indoor parking was a bonus. If we had anything to complain about it would be that shower in the bathroom and en-suite took forever to get warm and there wasn’t much water pressure also the master bedroom radiator didn’t get warm.

Perfect location for ski holiday

Lovely spacious chalet apartment with excellent amenities including sauna/spa/pool access. We travelled with 2 adults and 2 children. Excellent living area, balcony with beautiful view over the slopes and to the town and nice 2 main bedrooms. We didn’t really use the bunk room. Greeted with a nice bottle of white wine which we enjoyed. Well stocked kitchen with pots/pans/plates etc. Fantastic location for ski in ski out, even with the town ski lift not working we could easily ski over to the st Martin gondola. We also loved the location away from the busier resort areas. Perfect being able to order bread from reception for delivery to the chalet each day! Made life easy to maximise time on the slopes. Luc was very helpful with our questions and responded very quickly (ie snow chains, what kitchen items were available). Couple of areas that could make the experience even better- the kitchen knives were low quality (thin, floppy and blunt)- a small investment in better knives would be appreciated for self catering . Also it would be a small and cheap investment to provide toilet paper for guests for the week, as to go down to the little shop for this was a little annoying. These were minor things and I would emphasise didn’t detract at all from the wonderful time we spent in st Martin de Belleville .

Apparemment confortable

De très belles prestations, piscine et spa au top, livraison de pains et viennoiseries le matin. Arrivée et départ ski au pied. Local à skis avec sèche chaussures très appréciés,grand garage pour les voitures, beaucoup de rangement dans l’appartement. Bref une bonne adresse. Seul bémol 1 canon a neige bien trop près de la location qui crachait toute la nuit dans un bruit très penible même fenêtres fermées.

Merci pour votre appréciation qui nous confirme que nos installations furent à la hauteur. Sommes à la fois étonnés et désolés pour ce canon à neige que nous ne maîtrisons pas évidemment. Toutefois, restons très étonnés car en 13 ans d'exploitation, nous n'avons jamais eu une quelconque remarque à ce sujet. Il faut noter qu'il tourne rarement et uniquement en fonction des conditions climatiques généralement douces et par faible enneigement.

We had the most wonderful time in St Martin, the apartment is just perfect for a family stay, the spa facilities are better than some of 4* hotels that we have stayed in. The ladies on reception are so helpful and always willing to answer any questions. The canapes and deserts that we ordered were a marvellous bonus to our celebration meal on New Years Eve. Great view from the balcony for the fireworks and ski show. Luc was so helpful in answering questions before our stay. We will be back and would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in St Martin to book this apartment.

Great place to stay for exploring the summer mountains

Really enjoyed our stay at the Chalets du Gypse -- clean and spacious chalet, great location, great service from reception. Very much recommended.

Fantastic view on the village and the mountains from the South West terrace of the apartment.
