Schöne Studio-Wohnung in der Nähe von Kensington Palace

Ein Studio befindet sich in einer schönen Gegend neben den Kensington Gardens, 7 Minuten zu Fuß vom Kensington Palace entfernt. Obwohl es sich im Keller eines georgianischen Hauses befindet, gibt es genug Licht und wenn es draußen sonnig ist, ist es ziemlich hell. Es wurde vor drei Jahren komplett renoviert und verfügt über alle modernen Einrichtungen, einschließlich WLAN, Wasch- und Trockenmaschinen, Geschirrspüler usw.
In der voll ausgestatteten Küche finden Sie einen Kühlschrank, eine Gefriertruhe, einen Wasserkocher, eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine, Pfannen, Besteck und Geschirr.
Ein separates Badezimmer hat eine Dusche. Es ist einfach und modern.
Vor dem Haus befindet sich eine anglikanische Kirche. Wenn Sie nichts dagegen haben, werden Sie jeden Morgen von den Kirchenglocken geweckt, die um 8:45 Uhr beginnen und alle 15 Minuten bis 22:00 Uhr schlagen.
Das Zimmer verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett mit einer Memory Foam-Matratze (180 x 200 cm, was einem 6-Zoll-Bett entspricht). Alle Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind im Preis inbegriffen.
Es gibt 3 U-Bahnstationen, alle 5-7 Minuten zu Fuß, je nachdem, wie schnell Sie gehen. Der nächste ist Bayswater, dann Queensway und Notting Hill. Wenn Sie durch den Park gehen, finden Sie sich in der Royal Albert Hall und in der Nähe der Exhibition Road mit drei großartigen Museen wieder: V & A, Wissenschaft und Naturgeschichte. Neben meinem Haus gibt es einen Fahrradverleih und einen direkt am Parkeingang, wenn Sie London lieber mit dem Fahrrad erkunden möchten.

Fantastic apartment. Very clean. Good location. Nice host.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. It's comfortable and very clean. It had everything we needed for our short vacation in London. The WiFi connection is excellent, there is even underfloor heating and all the rooms (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom) are well equipped. It's located in Zone 1 and there are 3 Underground Stations nearby. The host is very friendly and reliable. We would definitely come back. Strong recommendation.

Elena sent us the instructions well before arrival and was available for problem solving throughout our stay. The apartment is good sized and equipped with everything you need. Access is via some basement stairs so those with physical disabilities would want to consider that (we are in our 70's and had no problems). The neighborhood, in Notting Hill, was wonderful and very accessible. We would definitely stay here again.

Our mattress was terrible. Each morning both of us woke up with backaches! Is the mattress 50 years old? The shower was too complicated for us to figure out. It was actually a safety concern because the hot water was so hot. My wife got burned!! So we couldn't take showers. If you insist on having a complicated shower, please have instuctions. Do not rent this unit out until these problems are fixed. I feel we were ripped off.

Check in process was extremely easy, the apartment is in a perfect location — easy access to 2 tube stops, central location, super cute neighborhood with lots of cafes and restaurants. The apartment was clean and had all the basics needed. The shower is a little wonky, and the windows could use screens so you could leave them open more for fresh air.

Brilliant apartment, perfect position near Kensington Gardens and museums in walking distance. The apartment was well equipped, a well tended garden was a buffer to the road noise, internet good and washing facilities were a bonus when travelling. The studio felt quite spacious because the well equipped kitchen was separate allowing easy moving around. The garden above is a delight & we enjoyed sitting at the outdoor table. For us the location was perfect as we walked or ran in Kensington Gardens every morning. Bus & Underground were close enough too.

1st time in London

This was the perfect location especially for a first timer in London! The entry was very secure and in a great area. In a one block area, there were numerous restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, and two underground stations that took us anywhere we were going for excursions. We were right near Hyde Park, which is a beautiful park to explore. The communication with the host was excellent and the check in process was very easy.

Delightful Spring stay minutes from Kensington Park

The location is absolutely fabulous with small markets, pubs and local restaurants all a very short walk away. If you want to roam further there are 2 Underground stops very close by on 2 different lines. We spent a lot of time wandering around Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park and were delighted to find flowers in bloom and lots of families having picnics and enjoying the outdoors. The unit is small but sufficiently sized for just the 2 of us. We kept some leftovers in the mini fridge and utilized the microwave to heat them up. There is not a freezer or dishwasher if that is important to you, we were only there 3 nights so didn’t care. The shower is extremely small with a rain head so nearly impossible to get out of the water stream to wash or shave but has good water pressure and plenty of warm water. The heated floors in the bathroom are delightful! Host is very nice and responds quickly. Gave some really good restaurant recommendations. The only advise I’d give is to leave a list of amenities and where they can be found. We didn’t find the fan until day 3 and that would have made the previous 2 nights much better as we were there during an unseasonably warm Spring heat wave.

Lovely Stay

Most basement apartments face the street with people walking by. This flat is set back in a garden, so it was far more private. Despite its central location, the neighborhood is very peaceful (the church bells stop tolling at 22:30) There was a fully-fitted kitchen (stocked with a few goods--thank you!) and not only a washer but also a tumble dryer, a rare find in a UK rental. The bath had heated floors, a heated towel rack, and tons of storage. The bed was comfortable. High on our wish list would be a larger comforter (too small for the mattress) and the hairdryer only produced scorching heat. Yes the sitting area is small and the stairs are steep, but this was just our home base. There are two Tube stations (3 lines) only 5 minutes away, which is transportation gold in London! Kensington Gardens is less than a 5 minute walk away. Elena was always quick to reply to any questions. We loved our stay here and found it to be an ideal place from which to explore all that London has to offer.

Accessibility Issues

We arrived after dark, with key code we were able to open the locked gate, tip toe around the large plant on the landing, then saw to our horror the steep unlit metal steps down to the basement apartment. It was also wet out making the descent with suitcases in hand all the more treacherous. Flat was clean and tidy, it took awhile to find the kitchen which had a teapot and a washer and dryer, microwave, hob, odd assortment of glassware. The bathroom was clean as well but the shower tray was a tricky tilt-a-whirl to balance on. And it didn't drain.The seating shown in the photo is all there is.There was a note attached to the front door asking residents to turn off the porch light which we did but found dangerous as winter in London gets dark early. Got the stink eye from a couple of neighbors who saw us quietly coming and going. If you are young and agile with little luggage this is the place for you.

Love the Kensington area!

Great place to stay in the heart of London. Less than five minutes from the Bayswater tube station to get you around the city. Bed was huge! Very comfortable after a long day of walking and exploring the city. Host was very communicative and easy to get in touch with if needed. Best amenity was access to a washer and dryer during my trip; life-saver for light travel!
