There is a lot to live up to when you define your property as "stunning" but this apartment does so. Comfortable, spacious, and beautifully furnished (modern) with all the expected amenities, it is a lovely refuge after a day (or days) touring the city. Great queen bed, fully equipped and roomy galley kitchen, lovely bathroom with tub and shower (the later awesome), large living room, and fast and reliable Internet. It is downstairs apartment which stays temperate whatever the conditions are outside.
If you are not onto Notting Hill Gate as a base area for your London adventures, this apartment's location will convince you to stay nowhere else. It is a short distance down a side street in a row of beautiful white three-story apartments and is quiet at night. But just around the corner and down the street is a good-sized pub (The Prince Albert) with very good food and a little further down is Notting Hill Gate itself with restaurants, a pharmacy, a Tesco market, a liquor store and a tube station where the District, Circle and Central underground lines meet. The whole city is literally minutes away from this area but you don't have to leave it to be well-fed and supplied.
Simon, the owner, is as gracious and cooperative as a VRBO owner can be: always in touch, responsive and informative. I think there is no question that we'll stay here again on our next (hopefully soon) visit to London. It is a good value too.
