Unsere sorgfältig gepflegt unteren Ebene Suite verfügt über eine gemütliche, komfortable und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer für Ihren Aufenthalt. Begrüßung Eintritt zu unserem Haus führt direkt in die Suite auf einem separaten unteren Etage unseres Bi-Level-Haus. Sie haben Zugang zu einem großen Wohnzimmer mit Kamin, Küche sowie beheizten Bad und Waschraum (für längere Aufenthalte). Sie werden so viel Privatsphäre genießen, wie Sie brauchen, aber wir sind immer glücklich, auch die Geschichten zu hören und zu teilen.
Das Haus liegt verkehrsgünstig im Südwesten von Quadranten der Stadt gelegen, ist Bushaltestelle 5 min entfernt, LRT Station ist 10 Minuten entfernt, Parks, Fahrradwegen, Fitness- und Freizeitzentrum sowie Restaurants und Geschäfte sind innerhalb Reichweite. Es gibt genügend Parkplätze vor dem Haus. Dies ist eine sehr ruhige Nachbarschaft gereift mit einem Spielplatz und Wanderwege nur einen halben Block entfernt.

Some pluses, some minuses

The location was wonderfully close to my cousin's home and we had lots of privacy in the downstairs of this home in a peaceful neighborhood. Parking on the street was easy as was access to the unit. During our 3-night stay we never had the opportunity to meet our host, Dalia, and only briefly saw her husband and daughter. My wife and I felt a little bit like we were getting the leftovers in that the mattress felt a bit tired and the bed was squeaky, the bath towels didn't match, some of the light switches were installed upside down and the hot and cold water on the kitchen faucet were reversed. Additionally, the windows were open, but there wasn't much air circulating and no fan was evident. There were plenty of rules and instructions to follow and we tried our best. As directed, we vacuumed the unit and tidied up the bathroom. We were supposed to unplug the refrigerator, but didn't because someone else's food was still inside and we didn't want it to spoil. We were supposed to empty the trash and recycling, but the gate to the backyard was locked.

Nice suite, friendly host and lovely experience

Enjoyed the layout of the suite. Dalia was very attentive in making sure we had everything we needed. Enjoyed complete privacy despite this being a nice family house. Suite has doors the close to all the rooms and the entrance is only for the guests. We liked it here and definitely recommend.

Very elegant, bright space

The place is very well taken care of. We felt at home right after we stepped in. Dalai was very prompt in her responses and thorough with all the instructions. The suite is cool and nice which was great to relax after long hot days of walk in Calgary. The hosts are very respectful and we felt very secure in their house. Thank you for having us!

Welcoming and nice hosts

We enjoyed staying at Dalia's house. The family is very nice and welcoming. We had everything we needed. The suite is pretty spacious. I loved the little kitchen! So bright and fully equipped. The heat lamp in the shower was great. We are definitely staying here again during the next visit.

We had everything we could need for a short visit

Dalia's place is very welcoming and cozy. We enjoyed meeting the family and really felt cared for. The suite gets a bit chilly if the temperature outside drops to drastic 5C - this was unexpected given the time of the year. Dalia was quick enough to bring in the space heaters to keep us warm. The beds were comfy, everything clean and tidy. We did not lack a thing and having host's care and attention is something that would definitely bring us back to this place next time we are in Calgary.

Did not live up to my expectations.

Parking was on the street in front of the house which could be a problem if the neighbors had visitors. The only thing seperating us from upstairs home owner was curtains hanging at the bottom of the stairs. We were asked to remove shoes just inside the front door. The kitchen is very very small. The bathroom had one hanging towel which looked like it had been used. No extras to be seen. We were asked to be very quiet after 8 pm and there wasn't a TV. If you wanted to use the fireplace you had to ask permission and there was no thermostat downstairs. Maybe my expectations were too high but we were very uncomfortable and disappointed. We left after just one night. We were scheduled for 6.

Hi Diana, Thank you for your comments. We made every effort to communicate the description of the suite as it is. I encourage guests to ask any questions before arrival, however, I received none from you. As you mentioned you did not check out our photos that are on the website and did not know where you were going until you arrived. I understood that the main reason for your departure was not knowing this was a house and not a completely separate rental unit. This is clearly shown in the listing. I also understand you were disappointed of not being able to receive the refund, however, I did make an exception and refunded extra guest stay fee. All of the things you mention have been clearly stated in the rental agreement, which you accepted before booking. Fireplace requires permission for your own safety - it is gas operated and I would not want any of our guests to end up causing themselves injuries. Thermostat is not necessary at +25C, however, thank you for pointing this out. I do appreciate your remarks and again sorry for not ending up to be a place of your vacation. Sincerely, Dalia

Very welcoming place

I had one of the best experiences staying in this suite. It is clean, tidy and has provided me with everything I needed for the stay. Dalia and the family are so welcoming and caring. The girls were just adoring. I enjoyed parking in front of the house which did not get busy except one evening due to a gathering in the neighborhood. I know I have a favourite place to stay when I come back to Calgary.

The property just as described. Very comfortable and welcoming

We have relocated to Calgary from South and could not find a permanent place before arrival. Dalia's house proved to be just what we really needed. It has absolutely everything and more for your stay. We actually intend to stay longer until we find the place of our own. It has all the privacy, guests use main beautiful entrance of the house. The suite is very well furnished and we enjoyed private kitchen and heat lamp in the bathroom. We have already shared this space on our Facebook pages with friends.

A great stay!

What a lovely family home with great hosts. I truly enjoyed my stay. It was clean, comfortable and pretty spacious suite. They are also building a bigger full kitchen which is going to increase the value of all future stays even more. Would definitely recommend it to my friends. Bright, clean and cozy place

We enjoyed our stay at Dalia's place. She has been very attentive and responsive to all our needs. Her family is absolutely fun, accommodating and nice. Although the suite is in the same house, we have enjoyed absolute privacy and were still able to get great advice and local insight on things to see and do in the city. The house is in a wonderful matured neighbourhood. We spent lots of time walking and going to parks. The mall with grocery store and bank is within 15 min. We found it very convenient and will definitely stay again. Thanks!

A great place with a feeling of being home

Thank you to Dalia and her family for hosting us. The place was exactly as described: clean, tidy, elegantly decorated and beautifully furnished. We had access to private bath with a heat lamp, which was incredibly nice on cold Calgary mornings. Mini kitchen served our purposes well - Dalia even brought us a toaster to make some hot sandwiches. It was quiet, the neighborhood is absolutely perfectly located - close to bus stop, to Chinook mall, nice parks and biking trails. We will definitely be coming here again.

Home away from home

We really enjoyed our stay at Dalia's. Her family and herself were very welcoming. The suite was clean, pretty and cozy. I particularly appreciated the snacks and breakfast goodies. And although they are located in a residential community, you can get around with buses. If you are looking for a home away from home, this is the place! Again thank you Dalia.

Friendly, easy going, welcoming and respectful family of four + lab mix. We love meeting new people and welcoming them to our beautiful house. We are environmentally friendly, enjoy nature and try to have minimum impact on it no matter what we do. Our main interests are outdoors, skiing, biking, hiking, travelling, doing crafts, reading and sometimes watching a fun movie together.

It is an extremely well kept house in a matured property. It has lovely backyard, lots of privacy and quietness in the middle of the city. Our neighbours are wonderful people and we are so close to everything we need from shopping centres to parks and gyms.

Many updates and upgrades throughout the property and it never ends:) Beautiful lifetime and environmentally friendly natural clay roof, cozy fireplace inside, lots of wood work and natural wood/material furniture inside. Interior decor is very tasty, not too much and not too little - just what you need.
